I wish we had found a picture of our food, but it was absolutely delicious and we were super starving because we had just driven from Orlando. But the food was great and it came out really fast and it's a really good place if you're visiting St. George Street The inside I will say, is very, very cramped and small. I wished it was a little bit bigger, but it adds to the cozy vibe of the place. Definitely during the day on a nice day. It is really good to be outside. We sat in a cozy corner which was great until the staff kept coming out of the back of the restaurant through one door which repeatedly banged very loudly every single time! The staff also gathered around near our table to get instructions for their day. We had a nice view out our window onto George Street til the bartender walked outside and shut the windows! My friend and I spent the day in Saint Augustine and we stopped here for lunch. The hamburger I have to say was actually very good and cooked to perfection. Though a little small on the size compared to the price overall it was very good. Our waitress was great, though I wished I had her name. Another lucky find - this time in the histroic district of St Augustine. We were looking for lunch and looking for something different. We've been eating well on this vacation and were looking for something "not too heavy", "no chain food", etc. Stumbled on the Bull and Crown Publick House and got a table on the patio. I opted for Shepherd's Pie while the wife had the "short ribs stack on Cibatta bread". Her sandwich came with a generous portion of fries. Both of our meals were excellent; the service was excellent and it was pretty reasonably priced. I probably won't be back in St Augustine anytime soon, BUT, when I do get back here - I'll be going to the Bull and Crown again. read more

I sort of wish we had sat outside but it was slightly too chilly. We sat at the bar inside and the bartender was lovely. However, the ambiance was nearly non-existent. At least outside people watching would have been available. The drinks were good. I just had a Modelo, so super simple. My friend had a Rosemary and Juliet. It had a fresh sprig of Rosemary and pink peppercorns floating around. Tasty! I did like seeing the fresh herbs at the bar. They looked like they were just picked. We both had a salmon BLT. It came with cold salmon which was... an interesting choice. It tasted fine tho. The sauce - I think some kind of aioli - was amazing and the absolute best part of the sandwich. Fries were good but nothing to write home about. The worst thing about it - there is no bathroom here. You have to go a few doors down to their sister restaurant? Wild to me they can operate without one there. All in all it's just an ok place. One thing I will say is that it is not overpriced like so many of the places in this very touristy part of town. So, if you're just hungry and need to eat something and not spend an arm and a leg - and likely get in and out quick - it's a fine spot for that. read more

During a weekend golf trip at World Golf Village we decided to visit the historical sites, shops, pubs, and restaurants of St Augustine. My waitress was constantly moving about, all I had to do was raise my hand and when she looked at me I said what I needed. Direct, clear, no hesitation, and I received what I asked for promptly. Other tables caught on and started telling her what they needed, she passed the word to their waiter and a few minutes later he brought out what they had asked for. Not certain if he was multitasking a different role than waiter, but he wasn't seen as often as she was. The ambiance was St George's pedestrian street on a Thursday night during autumn. The old lady outside acts as if your her rotten grandchildren there to ruin her day, instead of paying customers. We ordered our daughter a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and mayo, we got a burnt hockey puck minus everything, even a quarter of the bun missing, lol. Kitchen staff came out to TELL us there wasn't a problem and we should be ok with it. All our food came out before the appetizers and All of it was lifeless, tasteless and cold. It started raining outside while we were there, we rushed inside to find a new table and were scolded by staff not allowing us to sit until all outside tables came in. We watched as other potential customers tried to get a table and grandma scolded them. Our only bright side was our server Dominic who frankly deserves better! She kept our drinks full and cold, knew the menu, made knowledgeable suggestions regarding food and drink choices for both my husband and me and our two young children, and she was an absolute pleasure the entire evening. I wish I could remember her name (she has red hair and is a former/part time realtor). We ordered the Ploughman's Board (no picture) for an appetizer and really enjoyed it. The grapes were cold, snappy and fresh. Delicious! My husband ordered the fish and chips (no picture). It was not only delicious but it was a huge helping. Definitely would recommend! I ordered the chicken pot pie. It was fantastic! The ratio was good, the pie was hot, and it tasted delicious. Highly recommend! Our kids had the chicken tender meal and the kids burger meal. Both were fresh and hot. We had happy kids! The portions were generous for the kids meals-neither one of them finished! The only thing I would change about this place is the size.
