Definitely a place where the locals come for drinks. The oysters were pretty good and the fish dinners were quite good but I have had better grouper in the area. The interior of the restaurant had an unpleasant odor to it.

I'm going to admit...this is not the nicest looking place on the island but....the food was great and they had live music on a Sunday evening and happy hour! What's not to love? The food was truly really good and the bar service was phenomenal.

After walking on the beach Sunday night, we wanted to get something to eat. Hubs was craving oysters, and since this restaurant has "oyster" in its name, we decided to try The Tides Oyster Co. Unfortunately, though, the kitchen had closed about 30 minutes prior, at 9pm, so we would not be dining here on this night. However, since we were already seated at the bar, we ordered a couple of beers before heading off to find food elsewhere. Our bartender was quite affable and commented on my Bucs shirt. He was also a fan, and we lamented about our loss to the Rams earlier that day. The ambiance here was very casual & low-key with lots of wood and a large display of framed caricature art on the walls. Our beers were cold & tasty. If we hadn't been so hungry, we definitely would've lingered longer. I'm looking forward to returning for a meal on a future visit to St Augustine.

I tried Tides Oyster Co. & Grill on date night. My boyfriend loves oysters and had seen the spot so we tried them out. Happy hour drink specials included beer, wine and well liquor. I went for the house cabernet for $5 a glass. It was pretty good for house wine. My boyfriend had draft beer. Our server "Q" was a delight. She was friendly and attentive. My boyfriend ordered the oysters on the half shell and I ordered the char-grilled oysters. I am not a fan of raw seafood. My oysters were deliscious! Seasoned well and served hot just like I like them with no gritty taste! We also had stuffed mushrooms which were delicious! Lots of gooey goodness not just stuffed but laying on top of the whole plate. If you love oysters this is a great place! We went on a Wednesday evening and it was karaoke night which was pretty entertaining:)

The bartender is a complete jerk. The oysters were ridiculously overcooked. Ordered lightly steamed oysters. Bartender says they will be hard to open. Yes, I know but lightly steamed. Oysters were over cooked, tiny and filled with mud. Yes I ate them, but also yes, I rinsed them first. And yes, I know how to work a shucker and yes I like my oysters LIGHTLY steamed.

Came here on a Wednesday night with family while visiting and the parking lot was packed. We thought "oh nice, must mean this place is super good!" Do you know what it really meant? Karaoke night. I, at 29, and my brother, at 31, were definitely the youngest people in this place - excluding the servers. Now I'm not knocking it at all; it was a super entertaining night! And the place was packed full of patrons, so kudos to them for getting crowds in and serving up lots of food and fun. I got the stuffed shrimp which were delicious. My side of fries were good as well. My brother and stepmom got the fried shrimp which they believed to be a bit salty. My dad got the steamed bucket of oysters, and most weren't steamed enough; he was having a difficult time opening them with the provided shucker. Luckily our server noticed and offered to have them steam the oysters some more, which definitely helped. I don't know how the older crowd here (90%) would've been able to open those oysters. Just stick to ordering them on the half shell if you get them. Overall though, I enjoyed my meal and my experience here. Just know what you're in for, especially if you come on a Wednesday night :) And one final thing - we didn't order burgers, but they looked SO GOOD that we all wish we did. We got sliders to go for my sis in law and she absolutely loved them!

Had the fish tacos was very delicious.

There are way better places in the area. Our bartender acted like he'd rather be anywhere but there and spent most of the time on his phone.

The inside is just as impressive with it's "oil and gas" theme, it's rather small but we were able to get seated without a wait even though it was nearly filled. The staff here was very inviting and attentive, the menu is also themed and fairly priced, we ordered "The Ford Galaxie" two eggs your way, a choice of meats, choice of toast or biscuits and home fries or grit - although the winner here in my opinion is the coffee it's delicious, strong and robust. Unfortunately everything here wasn't perfect the "West Creek Whipped Spread Butter Blend" is an abomination, it ruined everything we put it on, my bad for not asking for real butter after applying it to my toast, my grits and the English Muffin we ordered, it was inedible to the point we left everything on the plate this stuff touched it wasn't refrigerated as suggested on the label I'm guessing. I usually eat only real butter so what was I thinking - so my dilemma is how do I review this place fairly based on that stuff and the fact it ruined our food since we loved everything else. Well I guess they'll get three stars for now and I'll return and maybe bring my own butter because this place is a place you really want to love...

GOOD: Good size portions, reasonable prices, especially for cocktails. The same margarita would be $14 elsewhere. I had the "Wrap it up mango" tuna wrap with fried plaintains as my side. Plaintains were a big portion, so I took half home. The wrap was very tropical with fruit and sushi grade tuna. I ate it all, which was greedy of me, but I enjoyed it and felt overfull (my bad). Hubby had the clam and shrimp chowder and 2 apps. Very tender clams, thick texture and more shrimp flavor than clam, tasty for sure. Conch fritters good and in our top 5 (we get them everywhere and have been disappointed but now here). The wings were cooked perfectly, not heavy and crispy. The key lime flavor was good but too light. BAD: Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. The other servers seemed right on top of the other diners. 2 person tables are a bit too small if you order multiple appetizers. But nothing bad at all here.

The venue is on A1A, right by St Augustine Beach. This was our first time there. They serve food but we had dinner beforehand, so we only had drinks. It's a nice little venue though. The show itself was awesome and Mick was so nice to meet afterwards! Why am I giving a 5 star review when we didn't even try their food? I'm at fortunate to know a few people that many would consider to be famous in the world of music. I have tagged along with them when they've done meet & greets at venues of various sizes from hundreds of fans to thousands of fans. Many, MANY venues handle these things very poorly. It ends up leaving fans feel as if the artist doesn't care about them when it's actual the venue that is unprepared and/or is treating the fans that dirt. That was absolutley NOT the case at Cafe Eleven. Every person we encountered from the staff seemed genuinely concerned with making sure the fans had a good experience. For us, this started a week prior when they took the time to email us to double check something about our order because our order was a bit odd. My wife paid for part of the order and our friends paid for the other half. The venue actually took the time to reach out to make sure we knew everything needed to match up. We did know that ahead of time but the fact that they even bothered was a touch I don't think I've ever heard of another venue taking the time to do. Well done Cafe Eleven! Based on that alone, I wouldn't think twice about driving down from Jacksonville next time there's an event at Cafe Eleven that I'm interested in.
