Being a hot dog place, you'd think they'd do something special on National Hot Dog day...but no balloons and no dancing dogs. I guess they were concentrated on making good dogs. The chili dog with french fries for $4 were pretty good. It's a great stop right off the Fox River Trail and there's also an ice cream place a few doors down. Sample Prices: Hot dog $2.89 Hot dog with fries $3.89 Italian Beef $5.89 Gyro $6.29 Fish and Chips $10 Pizza Puff $3.69 Onion rings $4 Bonus: 10% off with Yelp check-in ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Date: 3-February-2020 Time: Lunch Total (before tip): $10.77 Server: Take out Grade: A I have gone to this place before and wanted something quick and simple. I have ordered that Impossible Burger (whatever they are calling it, the new fab of meatless burgers) with Fries and a Drink. I usually customize the crap out of it and they never screw it up and they did not this time. It did not take long for me to get my food. I ended up eating it in my car. I started with the fries. And this is how the fries are supposed to be made, fresh, from an uncut potato! Great fries! Burger was up next. It was pretty good, one of the better meatless ones. My only complaint with it was the buns, the buns were falling apart a little too quickly, they were a way too soft. The people behind the counter are very nice and friendly, which is always a plus! Overall a solid A experience!

I went there once before and had a not so good experience with their fries. It basically was a bag of mushy grease. But I thought I'd give them another try. I ordered the Gyro platter which comes with fries. I made sure to tell them I wanted crispy fries. The fries were crispy but brownish in color which seemed like it could have been dirty oil. The gyro meat which is supposed to be long strips were tiny curled up dried pieces of meat. I have had quite a few gyros in my time and I have never seen the meat served like this. Unfortunately I won't be going back there again.

This place has reopened with new owners. We ordered a chili cheese dog, which was good, and a veggie sub, which was great.

We started with an order of their Street Corn Deviled Eggs which were amazing..super creamy. They do have a GF menu so my wife had a bowl of their homemade chili and I had their Italian Beef Bao trio. Both were delicious and very meaty. They have an extension whiskey/bourbon list plus their burgers looked amazing. We will definitely be back!

Surprisingly - after talking about the heat - my husband and I both started with the Chili Verde - w/ braised pork & hominy. It was outstanding. A lot of pork, spices and hominy in the dish. There was definitely a kick and I felt it was the highlight of our evening - in terms of food. For drinks - we got the Patio Pounder and Declaration of Independence cocktails - both pretty good. For burgers - we got the Elotes and the Four Pepper w/ the side salads with dill + mustard vinaigrette. Their salad dressing was quite good and next time (if there is one) I would get their salads - just to try more of the dressings. I say this b/c the burgers were just okay. On paper they sounded much better. I ordered mine medium - and it was definitely more well done. And while we love pretzel roll buns - it was too much bread/bun to the ratio of ingredients. It was impossible to eat w/o a fork and knife. Which you think might not be bad, but it felt like too much. And having the burger too done sort of ruined it. However - if ever in the area - I would stop for the chili and the salad dressings.

We started with the soft pretzel sticks, which came with house beer cheese and spicy mustard (and it was quite spicy!) For entrees, I got the smoked pork shoulder sandwich, with sweet and tangy mustard, pepper jack cheese, and pickled red onion. It was delicious, very filling, and the play of the mustard and red onion flavors against the pork were exciting. The roll needed to be sturdier, though. And lest I forget, the homemade tater tots! They look like chunky croutons, but the crunchy exterior hides a soft potato-y goodness inside. He got the "God Told Me To" burger, which included cinnamon apple chutney and yuzu aioli on a pretzel bun, which he said as really good but messy. This is apparently one of those places who various wait staff keep checking on you interchangably, so it can be a bit hard to know who to ask for things (I guess anyone?) but nothing got left out and we were not ignored. Overall, great food with a laid-back vibe. Would recommend and return.

The Birria egg rolls were a bit on the smaller side but made a big impression with its preparation. I've never had birria wrapped in anything as crispy as the wonton wrapper this was wrapped in. The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element. Overall a little pricey, but given the more unique menu and quality of both the flavors and textures, it's worth the premium. The food here is definitely memorable and in line with excellent options available in Geneva.
