2 charred hot dogs Chicago style
Chris H.

I've been looking for a good hot dog place in the area and this fits the bill! I got the 2 hotdog fries and a drink special and I was very pleased with the quality and portions considering the cost.

Happy boy and lots of food!

Quick service and yummy food! Nice people and the drinks are NOT watered down. And you will get plenty of fries! They have a huge variety of foods--hot dogs, burgers, gyros, salads, chicken (tenders, grilled, breaded) grilled cheese and more. Nice seating inside and out. Clean bathrooms! A really good place and a great value! Come support this local business!

Every time I come in here I wonder why it's not busier? These are some huge juicy burgers. Fresh buns and ingredients. And some fresh hand cut fries. And for the price you can't beat it!

Finally found a good Gyro place in town and fresh cut fries are the only way to go. Looking forward to trying more on the menu.

Great find. Good food, friendly and helpful staff. Soo much better now than before the change of ownership and management.

Less than zero stars. Tasteless food in portion sizes befitting a five-year-old…read more The writing was on the wall when we entered. The hostess was very rude and far too into herself. Seating people annoyed her as she did her best to make our group feel like they were overly burdensome by dining here. Our waiter wasn't much better. He never offered us bread or read any specials to us, and didn't refill drinks particularly well. He came to our table minutes after we sat down and asked, 'did we want something'. He said something odd the second time he came back too. At least he smiled, unlike the hostess who shows a clear disdain for people. Staff aside, believe it or not the real problem here is the food. Three of the four people at our table had the grilled mahi mahi. The cut itself was about 3x2 inches, and maybe 1/2 inch thick. If you cut it right, you got six little pieces out of it. The side was a 'salad'. This consisted of three folk full servings. And that was it. I've seen serving sizes three times this size for children under the age of 10. The dish might have been persuasive if the mahi had some flavor, but it didn't. It was cooked improperly (for all three people at our table) and seemingly without any seasoning. The fourth person at our table had a flatbread. The toppings on it could be fit into a 3x3 square and the portion size was utterly laughable. As we left, I gave thought to speaking to a manager, but a hostess that's as shallow and mean as theirs probably isn't being led by a thoughtful individual who cares for their patrons. My advice is to steer clear. If you want excellent Italian food, go elsewhere. If you want to be treated kindly, go elsewhere. If you want a serving size larger than something appropriate for a 5-year-old, go elsewhere. I can provide a dozen excellent suggestions within 20 miles. An embarrassment to Batavia, easily one the worst dining experience I've had in our area in 20 years.

They have a kind of choose your own adventure method- noodle, sauce, veggie, meat. Their noodles were very high quality, I wouldn't be surprised if they were making it themselves. The staff was very patient with my loud and confused Italian family. I'm sure we will be back for another birthday. Also the prices were very reasonable for a big group. They had a good wine selection with reasonably priced bottles. My only complaint is they are currently only serving canned cocktails. A few of us are pretty into cocktails and we were looking to get martinis that night. Hopefully they will be adding more drinks.

The walkway to the restaurant was decorated with lights and Christmas ornaments. The windows all had wreaths. We walk in without reservations and were seated immediately upstairs. The restaurant has two levels. It was pretty busy for a weeknight but our server checked on us right away. We were brought bread and the menu was explained. We decided to order the fixed price meal. It came with a choice of appetizer, two entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine. We went with the toasted ravioli appetizer. My entree was the Misto Di Mare. Angel hair pasta with shrimp, scallops and salmon. My friend had the pasta with shrimp and mushrooms. The food was delicious. The restaurant is so cozy and I loved how it looked like a restaurant fit for a Hallmark Christmas movie. The music in the background was wonderful. At one point someone came out and sang Happy Birthday in Italian and then sang That's Amore. What an amazing dinner at an amazing restaurant. Highly recommend !

Our Caesar salads arrived promptly and we dug in. Then after 10 to 15 minutes our flatbread orders were delivered. Each order had a thin, oval-shaped pizza-like crust. The topping of the BBQ Chicken flatbread order has a spicy BBQ sauce a top a medley of grilled chicken, roasted red onions and yellow kernels of corn cut off the cob with bacon and mozzarella. The chicken was barely grilled, and onions, while plentiful had not been roasted at all. On the other hand the roasted yellow corn cut off the cob had been grilled but there was barely any corn (maybe 10 small kernals) on the flatbread. I felt there was an adequate portions of bacon, mozzarella, and cilantro. My sister was happy with the Florentine Chicken, which seamed to have more of its properly aportioned ingredients: grilled chicken with spinach in fontina, grape tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese, bacon, and marinated artichoke hearts. One of the corner pieces I tasted had only cheese, spinach, and artichoke. Besides these deficiencies, we found the service to be excellent, and the al fresco dining quiet and pleasant.
