Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

Locals mentioned this spot when I asked about good sandwiches! They were not lying!…read more A small spot with pizza, subs, and salads. I can only speak to the sandwiches. I started with the Spicy Geraldi, which is normally cold - but you can get it hot - highly recommended! It was toasty and amazing! Packed full of meat - the half would have been enough for me - but the whole left some for later! I will be back to try more. Prices are moderate.

This place is retro, shabby, comfy, and delightful. Here in the heart of the Oregon craft beer…read morescene, this place is the flagship of all things sold that come in a sealed container. Thousands of options here in one gigantic marketplace, and something for everyone! The marketplace itself is quite dated. Yet it is eclectic and quirky. It is welcoming and irrefutably very memorable. There is a dedicated area to serve beer on tap with a list of about 12 options and then there is a restaurant with a limited menu. Mostly things like burgers, sandwiches, and other common pub fair. There are vegetarian options available. When your order is ready, they use an overhead mic that is resemblance of something that you would hear over the loudspeaker at an 80s rollerskating rink. On site, there are bathrooms and areas for seating that include bar tops, high tops, and even a couple of comfy couches. There is an outdoor patio that is very inviting during the warmer months of the year. Ultimately, this is an incredibly impressive presentation of beverages. Perhaps even something that some people would consider a museum of sorts. Either way, there is definitely choices for everyone, and this is an establishment that can't be missed. Yes, you can visit the other location on Powell, but nothing will ever match up to the original location here in Multnomah village. An experience, a chance to shop and stockpile some beer, but truly a showcase of excellence in beer culture in the heart of our city.

Bakery of fresh baked goods right at the front Piper was our server according to the receipt. She did the basic take our drink order, then brunch order. Runner brought our food and she checked on us about 15 minutes after we've been eating, asked if we wanted a refill on one of the drinks. Then came at the end and asked if we were ready for a check. Didn't upsell anything. She didnt do bad, just did her job and nothing extra, but I still tipped 20%. I came for the tiramisu french toast. $1 add on for caramelized bananas. It DID NOT disappoint. This was good. Not too sweet. Its one huge slab of a loaf. Good portion that I couldnt finish because I was too busy snacking from my daughter plate. Corned beef hash plate.. reel corned beef, cooked perfectly with just enough crispy ends and tasty goodness. Perfectly fried potato hash browns. Sour creme and sunny side up eggs with onions and bell peppers. Soo good! The chef omelette was a good size too. 3 eggs. Avocado wedge on top. My husband stry8ng to eat healthier, so this was great. Good amount of cheese as well. He mopped it up real quick Tatin apple crepes. The young teen had these and shes picky. She said it was okay. I tried it and it was great. Not too sweet. If you like apple anything, this is definitely a need to try. Mimosa flight... 4 drinks. You can choose from a variety of choices. I tried the following: mango, strawberry, guava, and passion fruit. They were more champagne than the fruit infusion. So of the 4, the strawberry had the most flavor but could use more flavor to it. The other 3 needed more fruit flavor according to my taste buds, maybe there was just more champagne instead, so im good with that too, haha. Overall a good experience and will come back again to try some other items and maybe go home with something from the bakery too (the croissant as a side came to the table and it was huge, flakes and moist! Oh! The orange juice was really good. Tasted like it was fresh squeezed!

I will say I found the service a bit off and on, as greeting and getting started was fantastic, but the follow up for after the food comes, was sad to say, nowhere to be seen. Can I get some sauce for these hash browns, nope. It was a weekday, and it was pretty empty, so one would assume the folks working wouldn't be spread so thin. I hope this was just a drop in the otherwise great dinning they are known for. I do also love that they kept the old raccoon lodge fireplace, so cute.
