Burger's were great and the service was fantastic!!! Bringing our friends the next time!

Had a great visit this 4th of July weekend. I got a beach house slider burger (3.5 star) and garlic parm wings (4.25 star). Wifey got the grouper sammich with fries (4 star). Ice cold beer and ice water hit the spot on this 91 degree day. It's way back in a no wake cove but worth visiting. read more

We took the boat here for lunch, live music, and drinks. They are known for their stuffed burgers so I decided to get one. I got the Arizona Burger which I had no complaints about. I got it with a side salad. They accidentally forgot and gave my fries but quickly corrected the mistake. I ordered the Salty Pomeranian and it was heavy on the grapefruit juice which made it hard to drink. The live music was good, got the grow dancing and singing. The place was super packed so it was hard to get service. The credit card machine was also down for awhile so they were hand writing orders which caused delay and confusion. It ended up working again before we left so it ended up working out. The staff was super apologetic later and thanked us for our patience. The bathrooms were disgusting. 2/4 stalls were clogged. People were still using them. This is a lake bar where people mainly go to party, so it's good for that. I'd come here again but for the atmosphere and good time, not for the quality of the service. read more

Definitely off the beaten path but worth the drive. Right on the water with indoor and outdoor seating. Bar food but really good bar food. Friendly service and reasonable prices. read more

First bad meal we have had here. Grouper sandwich (not grouper) undercooked. BLT with bacon and tomato had no bacon and 1 puny slice of tomato. We visited Bulldog's for the first time this evening and the experience was wonderful! We took our boat and the assistance dockside was awesome! We ate inside due to the heat. The service, food and drinks were top notch! I recommend their Rum Runners, but pace yourself, they are yummy and strong. Our server, Brittany, was so sweet and professional. Our son has special needs and she immediately was so patient and attentive to him. We will be back!! read more

Every year for the past 4 years when we come to visit family in Missouri, we go to Bulldogs. This is the first time I was totally disappointed. Three of us ordered the Stuffed Bacon and Cheese Burger with grilled onions and BBQ sauce. When they arrived 35 minutes later we had to ask for the onions and sauce. The onions came out after asking three times and a miniscule amount. Had to ask for the sauce 2 times. Waitress became surly and the rest of the evening was a bust. Did not even get the additional beverages requested. Does not look good fro a return trip next year. read more

Zero stars. Me and my family went here for drinks. We sat at the bar, my brother in law is full Hispanic. He is 36 years old. The owner/bartender ( a male) refused to serve him a drink because his ID was from Mexico. BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE HE IS FROM. Such a shameful racist place. It made our whole family so uncomfortable that we left before even ordering. What a shame the rudeness and racism that came from this worker. My heart hurt for my brother in law. They are absolutely amazing!!! For such a small kitchen the wait was short and had amazing food!!!! The servers were so friendly and kept my drinks full. They were very attentive, almost too attentive as I was checked on several times. The waitress also played with my kids and had a ton of fun with them coloring the menus. We will be back read more

First of all, they used to have a good Happy Hour!! 2 for 1 drink specials on everything except shots. This year I heard they stopped it. We probably won't be going back because that was the only reason we went. The food is over priced and you don't get much for your money, and not very good!! read more

This restaurant is across the cove from my father-in-laws house. I have never eaten there but every year when we visit we c an hear the live entertainment they have and in 20 plus years I do not remember there being one I wanted to sit out on the deck and listen to! In fact it sounds like a bad karaoke performance that never ends! read more

Wow... Rock back to the 80's night!! They had a band from Australia and those guys nailed every song. At one point the guitarist was standing on the bar doing a guitar solo. Great food, great entertainment and awesome drink specials (They had Mickey's available just for the event). We will be back for sure. read more

We decided to give this another try after a bad service experience 3 years ago. This was based on some local press that said things had changed. So they haven't. Our appetizer order was forgotten we waited an incredible amount of time on our food and kept being given excuses. The place had about 15 people there so it wasn't an issue with being busy. The owner was at the bar drunk and dropping the f-bomb and espousing her viewpoint on many topics in a loud voice. The bartender kept apologizing, but it continued. The docks are shit and the ramp is about to fall in. Better off going next door for a better hamburger from Chesnie's or somewhere else. read more

This was our first time here. I'm sorry to say, we probably won't be back. My suggestion would be to notify patrons immediately if there is and hour and 45 minute wait for food. We weren't notified of this "long" delay until we had already ordered and were a drink in. Our waitress was new to the job, and unfortunately this was evident. Not necessarily her fault. During the hour and 45 min wait for food, we were only asked one time if we needed drink refills. We had to reach out literally for everything. They kept saying they were "swamped" but the boat dock and parking lots were only about half full- as were the tables. Bathroom were clean- that's a plus. Some people came in while we were still waiting for food and were not offered a menu or drink after about 20 min, so they left. When we finally got our food we had to hurry to eat because a storm was coming. By this time we'd been there for about 2.5 hours. My stuffed burger and corn nuggets were very good, but others at our table weren't too excited about the fish, nachos, and burgers they ordered. It could have been a product of just a bad day and being ill prepared for a holiday weekend-- hopefully. The bucket drinks were good- when you could get them. read more

For what it is Bulldogs is a solid bar on the lake that serves pretty good food. We decided to try them out for lunch and arrived right as they were opening so we had the place to ourselves. Once there we were quickly seated and had waters on the table. For an appetizer, we had the sweet corn nuggets and we really enjoyed them. They are served with a horseradish like dipping sauce which I thought complimented them fantastically. I had the Beach House Burger as my main dish. I thought it was very good, however I wish it was larger. They claim that the patty is 1/3 lb however the ¼ lb burger at McDonalds is larger. I thought that the cheese was a bit skimpy as well, so I had to put a lot of ketchup on the burger. I ordered the cheese fries and they were okay as well. I will warn you that their cheese sauce tastes suspiciously like Velveeta cheese. The table also had their Smoked Prime Rib French Dip, and we were not impressed at all. It tasted like it was two or three days old and was very dry. The chicken strip basket was good, but how can you mess up chicken strips!! The Mac n Cheese was okay, however it had the same Velveeta tasting cheese sauce on it that the fries had, so if you are not a fan of Velveeta cheese you will most likely not like it. If you are not a fan of smoking I would recommend you stay out of the interior, it has a very strong smoke smell. I plan on coming back here to try a few of the other items on their menu. For what it is I think Bulldogs is good. The yelp rating for 3 stars is "A-OK" and I fully agree with that statement. Bulldogs is A-OK and I will gladly give them my business in the future. read more

Heidi was a great server for our group and Bulldog designed the perfect drink for us. What more could you ask? We came early on a Saturday afternoon in late June and it wasn't busy. They say the crowd picks up in the later afternoon. It was easy to park the boat too, they even helped us. I would visit again. read more

Went there back in June. I, along with other people in my group, ordered the stuffed burgers. Probably one of the worst burgers I have ever eaten. The patty was rubbery and had zero seasoning. Tasted like the burgers were made , then frozen. Dreadful. The cheese stuffing was also nasty. Apps were decent. I might give them another shot on my next trip to the lake. My mom, dad, and I visited Bulldog's several times after a long day of fishing. This was not during the busy season so we were one of the few there. Jason the bartender was very friendly and accommodating, namely keeping the Cardinals game on at our request. The atmosphere is clean and well-decorated, exactly what you'd want and expect at a beachside bar. We had such a good time the first night that we went back two more times during our trip to the lake. We got to try several things on the menu and were never disappointed. read more

I live on the lake and try to support the local businesses and we have made our way around to the west side. We stopped at Bulldogs after hearing the ads about the stuffed burgers. We docked and went in and no one was around. The radio was blaring and still no one around. We finally went out to the parking lot and found a cook and he told us to find a table and he would find a waitress. 10 more minutes and an out of breath waitress came and took our order. She couldnt hear us because of the radio and we had to have a shouting match to get the order right. She said the cook wouldn't let her turn it down. She came back out and said there would be a bit of delay because the cook had to run next door and get some meat. Next door? Those are houses... We were served terrible cold food, warm beer and watered down Scotch served 'neat'. We wont be back. I would rate it zero stars if I could for call the health department. read more

I only gave it 1star because I HAD to give it something! This is one of the worst bars on the lake!! The inside was greasy and smelly and the food was disgusting! Should have known better when we were the only boat docked. Will not waste my time going there again. Our server didn't get our order right either, wonder if it had anything to do with the blaring "music"...? Don't even get me started on the so called entertainment, I've heard better music at a library :/ My beer was warm and my husband's " drink" could hardly be called that! Completely watered down! Living full time at the lake the past 8 years, my wife and I enjoy trying all of the lake establishments. What a mistake we made going to Bulldog's. The food is very over priced for what you recieve. Listening to the radio advertising about their stuffed burgers, we decided to try them. They were the size of a good slider; very small. We are not going back to this place, until they change hands, as it will happen serving the food they do. Maybe Bulldog needs to spend less time at the golf course and more at his place of business before he goes under. read more
