We actually had a really nice lunch here with a gorgeous view, excellent service and great food. Our waitress was such a sweetheart. Really really kind and attentive - I think her name was Sherrie. We ordered a kids grilled cheese which came with a drink and choice of side - we chose the mango cole slaw. It was a big portion and my husband ate half of it. We had wings with buffalo sauce and the wings were excellent and cooked really, really well. I chose the Caribbean chicken salad which was fresh and very good and a large portion as well. I asked for extra tomato and they easily made that happen. Also, the sweet tea was on point. I'm from southern Virginia and we don't play with sweet tea and this was legit. I could've taken like a half gallon to go! It's located in the Tan Tar A.Margaritaville resort and has a beautiful patio with an expansive wrap-around view of the water so you can watch all the action while you eat. It was a beautiful spring afternoon so we decided to go somewhere where we could have lunch with the Lakeside view. We were not disappointed with the view and the food. I tried to fish and chips and my wife got the jerk chicken wrap. Well the food is a little pricey you are served a plentiful portion. I think the view and atmosphere are well. I like the fact that you got four smaller size pieces of the red fish. When you get the typical larger sizes they sometimes tend to fall apart and make it harder to eat. My wife loved her jerk chicken and actually brought home half of it since it was so large. It also appears that the pools are open to the public so this is a great place to spend an afternoon eating good food and laying out by the pool. read more

Gloomy day at the lake called for a lunch outing. The place we stayed was right near Margaritaville so we swung by. It was kinda busy, but we were sat quick. They had a pool and bar outside which looked really cool! I've stayed here before way back when it was Tan Tar A and the pool/restaurant area looked upgraded and really nice! The food is exactly what you'd expect bar food, it was good for what it was but nothing was like overly amazing. We started with the Beach Chips- I thought they were just alright too crispy for me and toppings were ehh. I really liked my entree I got Fish Tacos & loved the sauce but not much fish in mine. My friend got the shrimp tacos and we traded one, the shrimp was better than the shrimp and I normally don't say that. The drinks were good but kinda expensive for the size. Stopped here for lunch and refreshments while we were enjoying the lake by Jetskis. Service was decent but it was a busy Saturday. We started with beach chips and fried pickles. The beach chips were a fun mashup of home style potato chips and nachos covered in all the fixings. We also got fried pickle chips, wasn't very impressed with the pickles - very thin, little to no crunch, and small portion size. I got a shrimp tacos for dinner which were filled with jumbo shrimp, coleslaw, pico de gallo, and a spicy aioli on flour tortillas. Tacos were pretty good but nothing I would come back for. Drinks were extremely small for a high price, even for the given tourist destination market. All and all I don't think I'd come back but in a pinch there's worse options. read more

Stopped in last Saturday with a group of friends. Food was good for lake bar food. We actually got it before we ever got drinks which is pretty backwards though. Drinks were good, but small and expensive. It's a resort so you kinda expect that though. View is great and the pool looks awesome! Like most places, they are short on help so we try to be patient. However, this service experience was worse than most and a little shady. Our server, Marteen, was a quick talking guy that you had to try and catch as he was flying by the table. When he did return, you better be ready because you only had about 30 seconds before he left again. Then he'd come back and toss stuff on the table for you to participate in passing around. Pretty inattentive and his "shtick" got old quick. So time came for the bill which was all on one check because that's the way he asked us to do it, to be "easier". Well, I was paying so he came over and flashed the total ticket at me and told me the amount. Handed him my credit card and away he went. I figured I'd get an itemized ticket when he returned. Nope, got the total charge card ticket to add tip and sign dropped in front of me and he was gone again. Suspecting something wasn't right I chased him down and asked for an itemized ticket which I was told he'd bring in a minute. However, he never returned. So, I had to go inside where one of the other waitresses was nice enough to print out the itemized ticket. Just as I supsected, a 20% tip was already included on the bill and he was trying to double dip the tip by not letting me know that little piece of information. Needless to say I was a little pissed. So my recommendation is the food is good, view is awesome, just don't get Marteen as your waiter! read more

I think my server was possibly stoned out of his mind and I get that when you have to deal with the public, but still. Very slow and un to nonattentive. Another server or manager maybe stepped in and delivered my food finally and put in my drink order. It's probably a fun place to go if you have all day and part of the night to spend there and the lakeside location is sweet, but my chicken Caesar wrap was terribly devoid of ceasar dressing and super bland. Let me start by saying Allison was our server and she was very nice and served us quickly. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer- it came out quickly, but that was the ONLY good thing about it- it was watery and bitter- the chips were stale- it was absolutely the worst we have ever had. The photo is exactly how we left it after trying a few bites. After that we ordered the coconut shrimp as pictured- the shrimp was hot, crunchy and flavorful- I liked the Pinapple aioli, my husband requested cocktail sauce, but said it had too much horseradish. The does were not good and the slaw was like just cabbage- even the ketchup in the bottle was more vinegar than ketchup. We ate the shrimp and left the rest. I am very sad to say I would not recommend this place- there were only a few people there and I can see why- most people were drinking not eating. When we walked in we were greeted with a server who had us direct him to where we wanted to be seated, which felt very weird as it was as soon as we walked in. We had the same server the entire time and he was probably one of the worst servers I've had. He wasn't rude or disrespectful to any of us at the table, but he would hang around the table for longer than he should have without saying anyone or he would awkwardly ask us if we wanted things that we clearly didn't need at our table. The server situation made the dining experience really uncomfortable. The food, on the other hand, was nothing other than mediocre. We have gone to Landshark Bar and Grill a few times now on different occasions and always enjoy ourselves. This time we started with the beach chips and fried pickles for appetizers. The beach chips are such a neat concept, crunchy fry chips with cheese and bacon and sour cream, super delicious! The fried pickle chips also hit the spot and were thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good and everyone is kind and helpful, but be prepared for it to be very busy on weekend days. This can also make parking difficult if your driving here, make sure to wear walking shoes!
