In addition to her impressive expertise, I found Denise to be a most patient and caring individual - rare based on my visits to many other tile shops. Denise even recommended that I visit certain competitors before I finally returned to complete my puchase there. The prices are reasonable, and Tileshop promptly credited my account for an unused bag of grout and for unopened boxes of tile, the latter subject to a restocking charge of 25% which I think is reasonable.

We had an impromptu refresh of our kitchen after our water softener dumped water all over our…read morekitchen floor. We were looking around for backsplash tile and weren't really finding anything we liked. A contractor suggested that we check out Superior Stone. We brought a sample of our granite countertop as well as paint chips of the wall and cabinet colors. Karen was very helpful and gave us a few suggestions. One detail we really needed help with was how to end the tile along one of our cabinet walls. The previous backsplash ended vertically with the edge of the cabinets. I never liked that look. I also don't like the look that many people do where they extend the tile along the wall horizontally from the bottom of the cabinets. I don't really like that look either. Karen suggested we go all the way up the wall from the edge of the countertop. That's what we did and I absolutely love the look. So now we have a "new" kitchen that we really enjoy. We never spent time in the kitchen before other than cooking. Now we tend to hang out in the kitchen much of the time I guess because we like the look and it feels inviting. We had been considering engineered hardwood but that would have cost 4 times as much. Today the installation was completed. His crew was fast, hard working, professional, and pleasant. After they left, I realized that some of the furniture was not where we wanted it and we were unable to move it ourselves. Even though it was a Friday afternoon with miserable traffic, Jerry and his son came back and moved the furniture for us. That was above and beyond. The floors are beautiful. The price we paid was terrific. We highly recommend Five Star Floors to anyone in the bay area who needs expert flooring installed. They live up to their name!

Additionally, Noe and Mario were skilled craftsmen and installed the carpet in our office, spare bedroom, and dining room. Our house looks brand new. She explains everything in detail and with great patience. We were mostly focused on bathroom vanity and she explained a variety of options for how to mix and match the countertop with vanities since we were looking for a not standard size. Filler, bullnose, toe-kick, prefab, all these foreign terms became easy to understand after Terry's explanations. They carry mostly factory made inventory, so if you want a standard size item, Granite Expo is not a bad choice. Bathroom is clean with plastic seat cover, free coffee machine and a good size showroom for kitchen and bath. We ended up buying a vanity and since we picked up the same day, we got the month discount. Everything was up to satisfactory, but the item we bought did not come with warranty. Terry warned us to examine the product carefully before acceptance and to their credits, the delivery team brought 2 items for us to choose since the first one had some color stain. They carry American made brands and European brands, so the vanity has the American shaker style as well as the European flat panel styles.
