I was recommend by the place where we purchased 2 slabs for our countertop. The employees are friendly knowledgeable and easy to talk to. No pressure and they scheduled me according to my contractors timeline. The install was flawless- clean and the measurement was with in 1/16 of an inch tolerance. The price that we paid for was worth it. "You get what you paid for" . Can't speak highly enough about everyone at Avalos. It was easy to get a quote (which was extremely reasonable), make an appt to take a look at remnants (there was no rush as I was looking), and then move forward with having someone come out to measure/create a template. We swung by the same day to confirm the part of the remnant we wanted to use, and they were able to fabricate and come out just a few days later to install (install was quick, and very clean). This was a small/simple project but because of its small size no one would actually agree to work with us since we were below a minimum until Avalos who took it just as seriously as a big remodel. I highly recommend this business and next time we have any projects requiring stone work I'm not doing any searching and going straight back to Avalos. read more

We were referred to Avalos through Rick at Jones Custom Cabinets to enlarge an existing granite cooktop cutout onsite. It's a small and unpleasant job yet Bob at Avalos was super friendly and communicative throughout our correspondence. He squeezed us in on a short notice. Bob said it was going to be dusty and to cover up cabinets with plastic beforehand. I read some discussions online regarding extreme dustiness of the job as well and was pretty nervous so my husband set up a makeshift plastic tent surrounding the cooktop area as extra precaution. The team showed up on time and perfectly executed the cutout enlargement within an hour and a half. They also cleaned up extremely well. I used Avalos for a high end home in the Santa Cruz mountains. They were recommended to me by a reference I called when checking out tile setters. These people are exceptional!!! They were extremely accommodating as to scheduling and working at the pace we had set. They did a beautiful job of fabricating our granite, onyx, limestone and marble. These people are true craftsmen. BUT, beyond that, they are very pleasant people with whom to deal. My wife has a crush on Leo, the most lovable of the lot. He even made a granite, table top turn-table (lazy Susan) and a trivet from left over granite as a surprise for my wife--as a gift. And, when flaws were discovered in the granite we purchased elsewhere, they "gifted" us some left-over granite slabs they had in their shop. And, their prices are very competitive. To put it succinctly, the Avalos family is a real find! We are so very glad to have had them as part of our build-team. read more

Avalos just installed new quartz counter tops in my kitchen, and they did a really fine job. The quartz was perfectly cut, after I went to their place to check out the layout of the slabs I had chosen. They were prompt, arriving at 8 am, and worked competently in every detail, finishing by noon. I'm completely satisfied and very happy with my new counters. I can't believe no one has reviewed Avalos yet! I got their name from a number of very good recommendations on the GardenWeb kitchen forums and those people know their stuff. We used another fabricator for our kitchen but weren't too happy with their honesty or their odd approach to templating. We used Avalos for granite counters in our bathroom and it was an all-around great experience. The people in the office were very friendly, the installers were very fast and professional, the price was competitive and they did a beautiful job on the counters, particularly in the caulking where the 4" backsplash met the (non-plumb) wall. Five years later it still looks great, and you can barely see the join where the counter deck meets the overhang piece. Love these guys and would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Great Experience working with Avalos. Alberto gets back promptly, provides any detailed info via email. The job was for fireplace front and hearths. Stone was cut properly and Sal and his crew did a great job installing going beyond what others would by doing difficult fireplace trim cutting as well as the limestone installation. Their stone cutters worked complete magic getting my entire kitchen to fit in a single slab with only the tiniest margins to spare. I did the layout myself prior to buying the stone, but, once it was templated, it was clear that there was smaller margins than planned. The stone cutter was not confident he could make it work the way I wanted it due to the incredibly tight layout. We made a backup plane, just in case, but, in the end, they were able to pulled it off perfectly. Completely happy and would recommend! read more

We had a relatively small job - two countertops for vanities of different sizes using pre-fab quartz that we purchased from a wholesaler. Scoured yelp and got a number of quotes, but the price tag on those made me expand the search to lesser "rated" vendors. Always hesitant about going with companies that are highly rated but have a low review count, which is why I wanted to make it a point to write them a review. They were tied with another vendor for the lowest quote (with the other being of questionable workmanship). I was impressed with their website, which laid out their company and fabrication process in a very straight forward way. The company was always prompt in their replies and proactively would call us for measurement/install appointments (we were not on a tight schedule, but their turn around time was comparable to other vendors). During installation they were very considerate in laying down tarps and cleaning up after themselves, and my husband was impressed with their attention to detail when they asked for our wall paint in order to match the caulking. We just had Avalos fabricate and install granite countertops for our house remodel - kitchen, family room, laundry room and bath rooms. It was a really fantastic experience working with them. Their prices were lower than other bids we had, they returned emails/calls promptly, the person in charge of fabrication was super-helpful and friendly and the installer crews worked efficiently. We also were able to save money by using remnants they had in their shop for the bathroom vanities. We just had Avalos Marble do our entire kitchen, bar, and laundry room. They installed a "waterfall" granite island and quartz around the entire perimeter of the kitchen and the bar. However, when the quartz was installed we discovered (after installation) that in two locations the color was a mismatch--one side darker than the other. They came right out and replaced the countertops. I could not be happier--the color is right and looks beautiful. I highly recommend them! read more

But Oscar, a granite cutter, in true customer service form, did a fantastic job on the granite, in very fast turnaround time for me, even though they had an extremely busy workload he squeezed the job in.
