This is not a real location. Actual place is a cafe with no bagels. Don't expect bagels.

Re: NO. 19 (corned beef) & Potato Salad…read more Wow. Great sandwich!!! I've been looking for a place in town that delivers the same type of meals I'd find in Katz's (nyc), and Wise Sons is good!!! The bread was on point, not soggy at all even though this particular sandwich comes with coleslaw inside (I loved the sweetness of the slaw with the Russian dressing). The corned beef was spectacular. And I also liked their potato salad very much. You can bet I'll be ordering again from this place.

I think I only came here four times when I lived in the neighborhood. It's one of the many places I…read morewish I had frequented rather than occasionalled. Weirdly, I often have egg-salad sandwiches on my mind, even though I know they can be gross. I've had plenty of egg-salad disasters, sandwich and otherwise, and I'm normally a very gun-shy person, but if a place has egg salad on its menu, I'll probably order it. Wise Sons always has egg salad on its menu. The problem is that it didn't have any egg salad on hand the first two times I came here.* Whatever I had instead, both times (and I had something different each time) was delicious. I don't know why I haven't tried the latkes yet. I guess I'm not a very wise son. The place is old school and feels perfect inside. It won't transport you magically to the past like many killer authentic interiors will, but it's very easy to imagine what the inside of this store looked like in 1941 or whenever. There was never more than one other person dining in each time I came. Maybe it's because I came so late in the day? More people would make it feel like a convivial breakfast destination. Empty, it feels like a good place with good food. Yes, it's overpriced, especially with all the delicious food you can get for cheaper within a few doors of this business on 24th Street in the Mission. But Wise Sons. It's a thing, a thing I'm glad I got wise to. *Did they sell out? Just didn't bother to make it? Who orders egg salad in the 2020s, anyway?

Great Reuben Sandwiches!…read more This location is very convenient to BART (24th Street / Mission station). It is only a three block walk from the station. My wife and I were meeting someone in San Francisco in the afternoon and we wanted to eat lunch beforehand. We were interested in trying Wise Sons Deli since we have heard so many people praising it. Since we were coming into the city via BART, this location was great. The ambiance is pretty basic; ordinary tables and chairs and only some photos on one wall. You order and pay at the counter and then someone will deliver the food to the table. If you want coffee or water it is serve-yourself. However, the food is fantastic! My wife ordered a corned beef Reuben sandwich ($18.50). It was thick and very tasty. I ordered a House Special Pastrami Reuben that had a smaller Reuben sandwich, french fries, a side of cole slaw, and a drink ($19.50). While it had half as much meat as the regular Reuben, it was still a good size. They make their own Pastrami and Corned Beef and it tastes great. My wife normally doesn't like Pastrami but loved the taste of Pastrami made by Wise Sons. The meat is thick, tender, juicy, and DELICIOUS!

There is both indoors and outdoors seating with plenty of lighting and space to for customers staying around to enjoy the scenery. Wait time: There was a little line but it moved quickly and service was quick while standing in line. Two registers and lines to check out from as well. Service: Quick and friendly staff when going through check out queue. Food: The spinach and feta croissant was extremely well made with a slight hint of lemon to boost the flavor of the feta inside the croissant. I personally would have preferred a little more color on the croissant and crispier exterior but overall very tasty. Mexican Chocolate muffin was a nice size for the price of the muffin. However, I felt that the level of spice from the cayenne was a little overpowering and drowned out some of the chocolate notes. Overall, A very delicious bakery with good pastries and a lot of options to choose from. Staff extremely friendly and service quick. An easy to get to and plentiful option bakery for everyone.

We arrived around 11AM and sadly they were sold out of a lot of their bagel flavors already. FOOD: I ordered a toasted Poppy bagel with lox cream cheese and tomato. I had really high expectations for the bagels here given all the hype on social media, especially being a New Yorker looking for something just as good as home. Boichik doesn't skimp on the cream cheese - it was a very generous amount! However, I agree with some of the other reviews, the bagel itself was hard. The bagel was a bit flat and the texture wasn't as fluffy as I was expecting. Overall, I think I'd stop in again if I were in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back again.

I should note that they make bagels the way they need to and that all their sandwiches are done the right way. I remembered I had an…read moreapp sign-up reward for Schlok's, so I hurried over before they closed to pick up some lunch. Having read a bunch of other reviews, it seemed the best bet was the classic combo: a bagel with cream cheese. I added a toasted poppyseed bagel with vegan schmear and a plain toasted everything bagel to my cart. I'm a true minimalist and purist, so I figured I'd play it safe and first try the bagels in their simplest form. I bit into the poppyseed sando first. The Kite Hill almond spread was a bit tangy and added an interesting flair to the bagel. It was a pretty dense yet soft bagel, definitely something I could get on board with. Next I tried the toasted everything bagel. I was pleasantly surprised it had a very mild onion flavor. Most everything bagels I've tried had an overpowering onion essence, but it was toned down here. This is honestly probably the best everything bagel I've ever had. It's still not my favorite flavor, but if I were to get it anywhere, it would be here.

There isn't too much to say…read moreabout this bagel spot: if you're looking for great bagels, quick service, and a friendly team, I'd definitely check this place out. Okay... I guess I should elaborate a little more for all y'all faithful Yelp readers. I tried a couple of different bagels at Noe Bagel. The sesame and everything bagels are both generously coated, with a beautiful outer crust that has just the right texture. The inside is soft and chewy. It's a classic New York-style bagel that will satisfy even your strongest bagel cravings. The mini bagels maintain that same excellence, just in a smaller form. Because of their size, the crust-to-center ratio gives you more of the micro-blistered snap that I love about bagels. Personally, I'd choose two or three minis over one regular bagel. The cream cheese is also excellent--well-balanced and smooth. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese. It has just a hint of sweetness that brings out the richness and creaminess of the cheese. And, like many spots in San Francisco, they offer a sourdough bagel. It's quite different from their sourdough bread, but I enjoyed it. If you're visiting, I'd recommend giving it a try. For my everyday go-to, I'd stick with a classic sesame or plain bagel, but Noe Bagel has enough variety to keep things interesting if you want to switch it up regularly. As a bonus, they sell day-old bagels by the bag for $4. You can freeze them, eat them as-is, or repurpose them into bread pudding. You'll end up with an interesting dish thanks to all the different bagel varieties mixed together--but that's part of the fun!
