He was a great coach and had a good sense of humor. It takes a while to get the hang of axe throwing so don't give up if the first half hour doesn't go as well as you'd like it to go. I felt we both really hit our stride during the second half hour. My hubs and I both hit the bullseye three times each! And this is only our second time throwing axes. Axe throwing typically involves a qualified instructor that helps each person perfect their throwing skills so that they can hit the target over and over. This was a teenager that ran over the rules and left us on our own. There were no games, instructions, or any encouragement. The setup was cheaply made, the axes were small hatchets that were incredibly dull, and rather than having two people side by side it was a single lane. I would not recommend this to anyone, and would highly recommend the company re-evaluate this part of the business.
