Chad Sample visited my home today and did an amazing job. He sent me a picture showing the heavy spray he did as I told him I had a previous tick problem which they also had taken care of for me previously. His service was great, very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure the tick and bug problem was taken care of. Bulwark Exterminating helped me when I had a real tick problem outside my home a few months ago. It was horrible, and after one visit it truly made a difference and I was truly relieved. I called them shortly after that treatment as I did encounter a few ticks here and there in certain areas, and they came back in no time and did another treatment. After calling them for an estimate, I was not impressed. The canned sales pitch of initial discounts, leading into automatic bi-monthly treatments just doesn't work on me. Since this rental property has NEVER had pest control issues, I only wanted a single treatment and then would decide if I needed additional treatments in the future. As soon as I communicated this to the estimator, the initial estimate doubled in price or else "they don't make any money". Okay, sure, that pitch may work for you but it doesn't work on me. I have friends that are exterminators and I know what the margins are. In my business, I always have several vendors to choose from and I've located an alternate who seems like a straight shooter from the initial call. After moving into a new place a couple weeks ago I found a roach in my driveway. :shudder: I have never seen roaches this big and this gross ever in my life since I moved to AZ. I lived in Chicago apartments for all my life and I was certainly no stranger to roaches and other creepy crawlies. But nothing like the MONSTER roaches here. I found this place on Yelp and and they are just the nicest and most professional people. They came out yesterday for the first time and sprayed inside and outside the perimeter of the house. Based on other reviews here I set up to have them come out every other month to take care of the perimeter, which they assured me will take care of any pest problem I should have. The best part of their service is that they will come out in between scheduled visits at no extra charge if I see any bugs at all. Eric was the technician who came out and he was so nice and understanding and didn't even laugh at me as I shuddered at the thought of these nasty roaches. I did see a couple dead roaches on my patio this afternoon, so I'm now even more grateful because those suckers would have been in my house. I'm sure my kitties are disappointed though, they like to play with them until they die of shock. yuck! read more

Had a year contract with them, they are famous for spraying in the so call electrical outlets and inside. They sprayed a total of 3 outlets and kind of just spray the can spray all over the place, no sense that they really knew what they were doing. I had 3 other pest control service and by far the worst. Blamed me for not calling them when my problem persist, I called them an extra 5 times in the first 8 months, just got tired when it amount to no results. Stay away from them, all hype and no results. I am sure the original company was good, but they have outsourced or are a just pest control that bought the name, since I know the people who do their printing. read more

These guys are AWESOME!! If you are looking for a good bug service this is definitely the place! We had absolutely no hesitation to signing a bimonthly contract with them as they did a GREAT job and were very friendly and knowledgeable! We had a real bad scorpion problem, and there really isn't much you can do about that, but they did it! They helped educate us on the fact that there really isn't a "scorpion killer" you can use, the thing that you can do though is get rid of their food supply which will essentially get rid of the scorpions! And that they did! They came out within a decent time frame and before the tech even left we already had dead "food supply" (crickets, beetles, spiders, etc...) lining our cement! I haven't seen a bug in quite sometime now! We have had a few scorpions here and ther but WAY LESS than before (and they're due back out in a couple days), it's going to take a little bit of time to get those suckers gone but we are well on our way of being scorpion free! They also sucked up all the spider webs we had all around outside! Wahoo....i hate webs! **shivers** The tech was quick and very respectful of our stuff and space, he even took his shoes off before coming in the house! We told him he didn't have to but he insisted! That's unheard of with most service places! The other really awesome thing is that we have 2 dogs, 1 of which has serious seizures even around "pet safe" sprays you can get in the store. So we made sure to inquire that their product would not hurt our 4 legged kiddos. They ensured us it's as harmless as table salt to them. We haven't had a problem at all with seizures! :o) read more

This company is basically harassing me. Used them for a year. 3 mo before my rental agreement ended I called to tell them I am cancelling service. They said ok. Few weeks later I had an invoice at my door. Called and apparently something was lost in translation and a tech came out for our regularly scheduled service (funny because if that's the case he wasn't in the right time frame anyways) but the dogs were loose inside so he didn't get to spray in the house (also funny because if they were loose inside, they were loose outside..thanks doggy door!). I said ok fine, scheduled to have them come back to do indoor and paid invoice but reinforced I am cancelling. Dude never showed for indoor. I got an email saying he tried to service but no answer at the door which is bullshit since I had rearranged work and was inside reading a book waiting on him when he was supposed to be there. Called. Complained. They sent someone else an hour later. Now I'm getting calls AGAIN that they serviced my house and there's a balance. I'm getting calls twice a day at least, I'm about to change my damn number. Fool me once, shame on you but fool me twice.. Gave 2 stars though because our house was bug free the first few weeks after sprays. read more

The techs were nice enough, but the product just doesn't work. Used Bulwark for years, at 2 different homes. Still so many spiders and scorpions....at both homes. Weed service is completely useless, took 4 tries to even get the correct truck out to spray weeds. And it didn't work. Finally cancelled both services after they backed into our pool fence. We are disheartened that after years of being customers, we were offered nothing to fix the damage. Not even an apology. We will take our pest needs to a company with some proper customer service and products that work as advertised. read more

These guys come out once a month and do a fantastic job. I have recently had some issue with scorpions and they have helped address that. Here is my point. If you want them to just come out and spray, they certainly will, and do a great job. However, if you actually want to talk to them about your particular situation, they will actually listen to you and tell you what they are going to do to address your concerns. I had Mr Cavett Richards come out for our last spray he made the wife and I feel like he did not have somewhere more important to rush off to. He took a great amount of time and attention to the details. Most if not all of the technicians at Bulwark are like that but this was a particularly positive experience. read more

Overall results are skewed. The technician gets a tip if you leave positive review. That, in and of itself, is shady and leads to skewed results, but that not really my beef with Bulwark. The technicians are great. Ive been a customer for 4-5 years. About a year ago, I called specifically for a pigeon problem. I left a message and got no call back. I had my landscaper help me block their nest (note: not a landscaper's job, but since Bulwark won't call me back, I did what I had to do at he time). So, the pigeons have found a new place to nest on my roof. So I gave it another whirl to see if I could get someone out to take care of the problem. First call, I was disconnected when transferred to "Brandon the bird guy"'s voice mail. Maddening. Of course I got no call back so I CALL BACK when they should have been calling me back, but whatever. The second person tried to get a hold of Brandon, but no luck. Shocking, I know. So she came back to me and told me she will text him and tell him to call me. He never called. I gave up dealing with this company. Its infuriating that Brandon the bird guy didn't call me back after years of using this company. I cancelled my service and signed up for a new service that is taking care of my pigeon problem tomorrow.... and as of the writing of this review, I still have not heard from Brandon the Bird Guy. They'll faithfully take your money, but no one will call you back if you need something specific. Moving on.., GOOD BYE. read more
