I have only had the tech from Bulwark come once, but so far the experience has been superb. When I first called for a quote the employee who answered was very polite and took down all of my information. I have recently just moved and in my basement I had seen at least 30 millipedes a day! I asked the gentleman how much it would be to get someone to my house and he told me for a quote, another employee would need to call me back, as he was on the phone. I wasn't in a hurry and the employee was so nice I was fine with that. Almost five to ten minutes later I was called by another employee. I wish I could remember either of their names because they were so efficient. They set up an appointment for the following morning, estimating between 8am-10am. I was called back once more less than thirty minutes later by a woman (whose name I can't recall) and she asked if they could change the appointment time to 7:30am! I said the sooner the better and the tech (Joel) arrived promptly between 7:30am and 8am. He sprayed everywhere that was required and then anywhere else I asked. I was very happy with the respect he gave to me and my home, how efficient and professional he was, and how nice he was. Since his visit I have only seen 2 millipedes total, even though he said it would take between 2 and 7 days to stop seeing them. Very effective! The company set me up with quarterly visits, as I live in a town home, and the price is very fair. I don't foresee anything happening that could ruin my happiness with the service I've received. read more

Gooopened up a new account with Bulwark recently. I was scheduled to receive my first service on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:30am. I scheduled my medical appointment and my pet care around this appointment with Bulwark. At 11:30am no one from Bulwark arrived at my house. I waited an additional 20 minutes and then called Bulwark at (919) 481-0007 and spoke with Jacob. I was let on hold while Jacob contacted the tech to see how much longer it would take for him to arrive. Jacob informed me that it would be an additional 35 minutes before the technician would arrive, putting the arrival time at 12:25pm! As a new customer this was such a bad first impression that I never want to do business with Bulwark again. Update: Since this post, I was vigorously pursued by Bulwark in an effort to earn my business back. They were very respectful and very apologetic about the situation and they were willing to offer the first two services for free to rectify the situation. I still declined because of the bad taste the first impression left me with however, I do have a slightly better opinion of Bulwark after their respect and generosity in an effort to earn my business back. read more

We've been with Bulwark for years and they are overall an excellent company with very reasonable prices. Especially comforting is the fact that they will come out between scheduled services to retreat if you want for any reason whatsoever. Today we had a service visit by Thomas Pulliam and it was our first visit since quarantine began so we asked for the FULL treatment for the first time in a long time. He was incredibly thorough, covering things I would have never thought of. I had forgotten that on our first visit years ago they did such a full barrier, even opening power outlet covers to spray in the walls. He educated us on all the things he was doing and why. He explained other options for visits in the future including what they could cover if we weren't home or if it were raining and how that would deter insects. We had lots of new questions because of a new crawling grandbaby in the house who wasn't crawling before and we felt very confident once he explained everything about that. Bulwark's customer service is outstanding. I had a need for someone to come out to my home right away to help with a pest problem, although they entered my information into the system, they did make sure to follow back up that day to let me know if I could be worked into the schedule (it was on a Saturday). They did set me up for the next business day, and the customer representative also made a few suggestions to get me through until Monday. Eric came out and has been great to work with - he explained what he was going to do and told me to call if I needed anything. I even called back the next day and he came back out, no questions asked. I think the biggest part was that we had a standing relationship with a pest control company, for the past 3 years and when I called them for help, they never returned my call and I had to follow up on different occasions. We have been a long time Bulwark customer. For the past couple of times a gentleman by the name of Steven Johnson has done our service and he is absolutely FANTASTIC! He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He doesn't do a rush job and he does a great job treating our home. I absolutely HATE bugs and he provides helpful tips on what to do in case we see bugs in between treatments. He is very honest and upfront. I was telling him about another company that was in our neighborhood advertising their services and they claimed that if they sprayed our yard we would never see another bug in our yard again. Steven was upfront and honest with me and said--ma'am I don't know of a company that can guarantee you will never see bugs again in your yard and if someone told you this it's not likely. He could have very well said--ma'am our company has a spray that can eliminate bugs in your yard forever too, but he didn't. Although I have been with Bulwark for years I only want Steven to do my treatments and I will be requesting him every time! read more

Eric Burgin has been our tech the past few times we have had our home treated. He's very knowledgeable and explained the process and what works best for the problems we were having (ants). I was very impressed as he even took off his shoes and left them on our front steps before he came in the house! We do remove our shoes when we come in the house but I wouldn't expect or ask an exterminator to remove their shoes when they will be in and out quickly as our areas that needed to be sprayed weren't very large. He also used a large brush to get down any exterior spider webs. Overall I've been very pleased with Bulwark Exterminating, I love that they send reminders via email so I can make sure to be home at a certain time. I've been pleased with Eric and the other tech that came once to do a retreat between treatments (though I didn't catch his name). I would definitely recommend Bulwark to anyone looking for an exterminator, and the prices are pretty much unbeatable. We are very happy customers. read more

We are long-time customers of Bulwark Exterminating....10+ years! Competitors have approached us to switch - but we haven't been interested. Why sign on with another company, when the one you're with (Bulwark) goes above and beyond to take care of your exterminating needs?! With all the rain lately, we've had 'unwanted visitors' in our home (cockroaches). I called Bulwark and they had a technician (Eric Burgin) come out for the 'call back' (in between our usual quarterly service) to take care of the pests. Eric was so kind and courteous, listening attentively to the areas where we had the pests. He then treated the areas, even removing the electrical outlet wall plates to treat behind those - plus treating the exterior areas as well to further enforce the 'barrier' to keep the pests OUTSIDE. We continue to be more than pleased with the technicians that come out (kudos to Eric Burgin!!) and with the excellent customer care we receive from Bulwark. read more

I am very pleased with Bulwark Exterminating...I am a loyal customer of 13+ years and the customer service is outstanding, the service techs are knowledgeable, professional and helpful with tips, and their treatments WORK (plus the treatments are kid, pet and eco friendly)! In my 13+ year experience, I only needed to call 3 times ("in 13+ years") for additional application for ants due to excessive rainfall (my neighbors and friends that do not use Bulwark have had many bug issues - I always recommend they call BULWARK!!!)! We considered many pest control options and companies before we decided on Bulwark in Raleigh. We had never heard of them before, but a technician came to our door advertising their service. Normally I'm not interested at all in anything being marketed door to door, but Derrick was pretty convincing and not pushy. After he left, I looked the company up online and found great reviews. There wasn't as much information about their pest control products, pricing, and treatment plans as I would've liked online, but Derrick was happy to explain everything and answer all my questions after a quick email to him. Today, our area technician, Kyle, came out to do our first treatment inside and outside the house. He was great, very polite, happy to work around our pets, and thorough at explaining what he was doing and answering our questions. I've been a bad Yelper...Bulwark has far and away exceeded 2 other local providers since I moved to NC 6+ years ago. Daryle Gee is knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I know I should have spoken up before, but it's never too late to recommend a great service. When I moved into my home in Clayton 6 years ago, the builders used a service provider that turned out to be super expensive with rather rude employees. Fortunately, I found Bulwark and their services have met my needs at a reasonable price. I have people knocking on my door hawking their exterminating services a few times a year, but I see no reason to change what ain't broken :) I don't know what the other independent Bulwark companies are like to work with, but I can promise that the office with Daryle is thorough, courteous & dependable. I am a new customer with Bulwark and I have had nothing but excellent customer service from them. Randall is our designated technician and he is always punctual and responsive. He even waited for me one day because I got delayed coming home and was late for our appointment. He called me up and said not to worry, he'll be waiting. He did a thorough job to service my home. I have had experiences with several pest control companies in the past, and Bulwark surpasses the others in terms of price and quality of service. I was going to do a one-time treatment but I'm glad I signed up for a subscription because if I need follow-up in between regular service, they have no qualms with sending a technician over. We were very happy with our first visit. Orlando Council was really nice and knowledgeable, and took care of all our bugs for us! We have had tons of spiders in the windows, roaches, ants, wasps, you name it, and were getting sick of it, so decided to take care of it this year before it got too bad. Orlando sprayed around the outside of the house, knocked the webs out of all the windows, got rid of some wasps nests, then came in and sprayed around windows/doors as well as exterior baseboards, and we have not seen a bug since (well, we have but they have all been dead!). He provided us with all the information about what he did, and even offered to come back and set traps for the mice (along with tips on how to keep them out of the house). Really pleased so far, and finally feel like we don't have to keep an eye out for pests in the house anymore! Great job! read more

Quick review for Bulwark Exterminating. We had Bulwark at our previous house in Wake Forest, NC. At one point we opted for a cheaper company, but realized that you get what you pay for. We have since gone back to Bulwark and have kept them even as we moved to our new home in NE Raleigh. Since we live in a rural area, it's not uncommon to find some ants from time to time. If needed, all we do is make a call and they get someone out within a day, or so, to take care of them...and they [the ants] go away. Paul is our guy! It's nice to know that we have consistency from visit to visit. He's learned what we need, and what we want. He takes it a step further and asks about the family and takes the time to listen. I know this because he follows up about previous conversations on different visits. I trust him. In my book that goes a long way. read more

My family just recently moved into a new house and we were finding different types of pest. The backyard is heavily wooded and was bringing different spiders, roaches, and frogs into the house! When I called, I spoke to Jay who thoroughly explained the process, we were able to schedule someone to come out to the house within a couple of days. Randy P arrived within the scheduled window and was fantastic! I would definitely request him again for future business. Randy explained everything he was doing and let us know what areas in the house that the pests were coming in from! We treated both the inside and outside of the house. He was quick and efficient and made sure we understood what he was putting down/spraying and the time frame to be cautious with pets outside. (The inside was not a risk for the pets). Chris McMiller from Bulwark Exterminating came to my home today and I am forever indebted to him! He introduced himself and right away began to listen to my problem. He listed attentively, explained the treatment he would perform and reassured me that this would take care of the issue. He showed me the areas that needed to be treated, and went above and beyond to ease my fears. He is very experienced with pest control, and knew the type of pest and habits that could be counteracted by my attentiveness. This is a first! Awesome is an understatement! - I was having a problem with roaches and to say that I was frantic and beside myself is an understatement. Bulwark Exterminating sent Randall Griffiths to come treat my home and he took the time to listen to my phobia and then explain what he was going to do and how he would be back in a week to make sure I had no issues and to treat my home again. Mr. Griffiths did not judge, he put me at ease and took extra steps to treat my home so that I would have peace of mind. Christopher Robidoux was our service tech and he was wonderful. In additional to doing the perimeter which is what he was assigned to do, at my request he also did the interior of my garage. He was very helpful and courteous, taking the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel like I was keeping him from his next appointment or that the questions were ridiculous. I was impressed with how thoughtful he was, in addition to the spraying he went around the exterior of the house and removed any spider webs. In the years since I have had them I have not had any problems with pests. The times I have asked them to come in between regular appointments they have come immediately and at no extra charge.
