I'm a little late in starting service this year. I received a courtesy call reminding me of service and of course I said yes. Joel showed up and took care of business. He heavy sprayed/fogged every tree and grass. He added the mosquito traps all around the huge yard. Before leaving he explained everything he did. What great service. What a nice guy! read more

Strangely, all my prior reviews for this business going back to 2017 have diappeared. I'm not very happy with that. Having said that, this review is focused on our most recent service on 2/25/2026. Renzo (Lorenzo Prude did an excellent job within the somewhat odd changes in business practices concerning prior notification on the date and the time window a technician is scheduled to service our property (hence the loss of one star). We noticed this during our prior service on 12/29/2025 and was told those coukd be supplied on request. So I requested. From email correspondence with Bulwark on 12/29/2025 "I have updated your account. Moving forward when we schedule an appointment for you we will have a time window given to you. However in practice this far this was lip service by Bulwark. We've had multiple prior issues with lip service with Bulwark which is why I'm not happy all my prior reviews have disappeared. This service again gave poor notice despite what can be seen. Here's email correspondence with Bulwark on 2/24/2026. Bulwark "We have removed windows with all our services, and our service pros text or call when they are about 30 minutes prior to arrival. However if you would like a window we will make sure that is noted on your account moving forward." My response "Yes I would like a window" We will see what transpires on and before our next scheduled service. If this simple service can't be provided (as was done previously and changed without any notification to us) I'm serious about taking mying term business elsewhere. There's plenty of competitors in sunny San Antonio for this to be a more chronic issue beyond what's already started. read more

We had a couple of hives outside our home and store bought sprays weren't doing anything for them. We were getting quite a few spiders and other creepy crawlies inside too. Living in the hill country, only on an acre, still invited plenty of pests. Pedro Soto was sent to our home and he did a great job! He was very thorough, and went the extra mile. He explained what he treated , what he found, and answered all of my pesty question. ;) He pointed out some fire ant hills that he treated, that I didn't even know were out there, and proactively set up a follow up appointment to check on the status of our initial complaints of a hive. I recently moved into my home in the beginning of April. Being a new community, many homes in my area were constantly being solicited for new services. I had the option to go for Orkin for a discounted price. We decided against it. As we signed for the home, we discover that we get a free treatment with Bulwark. We were told that new homes often have pests due to the disturbance with the land, so we went ahead and scheduled with Bulwark by a nice gentleman by the name of Blake. Scheduling was a breeze as we were able to get out first appointment in. We were told that the serviceman would open outlets and spray the inside and check for crevices where bugs could hide, as well as treat the outside. Not bad for a free service, right? Unfortunately, when the day of the service came, the appointment never happened. No one showed up and nothing happened. We had to go again and reschedule for yet another week out. Finally, when the appointment happened, the exterminator came and did a quick walk of the outside before heading inside. Remember when I said we were told they would spray inside the outlets in the home? Nope. He sprayed a large ring around the outlet and spent only about 5-10 minutes inside. I understand that you get what you pay for on a service, but if you're expecting to get people's feet in the door, you have to provide an exceptional service for people to understand the value in the service you provide. It's not that he didn't do any work. It's more so that the work seemed so halfway done. To top it all off, we were told that the amount of bugs will increase for 2-3 weeks because of the treatment. It's been more than 2 months (and they never reached out for schedule a follow up) and I'm seeing just as much bug activity as when we moved in! Bottom line is, great customer service, great scheduling availability, poor execution of services. read more

Years ago we used Bulwark on a previous home and as new puppy owners we wanted to treat the yard and home proactively against bugs/ ticks etc We called a couple of companies for quotes and liked them all but having worked with Bulwark in the past decided to pick them. He went above and beyond retreating the areas involved and actually looked outside our home and treated a few other potential problem areas without being asked. Terrible service and unethical practices After 1 year of pest control service, I added weed control to 2 of my homes. I was forced to cancel all three contracts.This company is unethical, lacks leadership and training. There is an obvious breakdown in communication, procedures and customer service. I was quoted a price for weed control that consisted of services that I didn't need. The technician arrived and stated that I had paid more than I should have since I have zero scape and no grass to treat. This meant that I paid for 5 products to be applied and the technician applied ONE. He literally sprayed round up and that's all. Nearly 1 week later, the treatment has done nothing. The weeds are still standing strong. Did the technician not do his job correctly or was I gouged? The manager could not answer this question. She stood by the price and offered no resolution. My second home was an even bigger disaster. The technician didn't want to treat my grass because they had only quoted to treat the graveled areas. So he called in and had the office add $300 to my bill with out my consent. Mind you, I stressed to them that I wanted all 5 products applied at this location. I signed a contract for each of these services with prices and products mentioned through out the paperwork. Then they switch it up with out warning. Management argued for over 20 minutes, despite the fact that it was their mistake. I stand by what we agreed on to begin with. I was not confused and the breakdown in communication is on their end. I wasted my time, energy and money. Steer clear of this crooked company. I hope this review reaches the owners because management is going to run the company into the ground. read more

He even used a shoe cover when he entered my home. I highly recommend Robert and Bulwark for providing an excellent service on removing and preventing bugs from entering my home. I originally signed up for a three month rodent treatment plan for a great price. It was too good to be true. They set up traps, the first two weeks were successful. The technicians would come pick up the traps and reset them. I always got a text message with proof of visits. We caught a few babies. After that, they would show up unannounced and claimed to do treatment inside the house, even though I wasn't home, which isn't possible (without breaking in.) I keep getting letters in the mail and phone calls threatening me to pay or get turned over to collections. They claim I used the service for longer than a month, even though the technicians would text me with pictures after each successful visit. A guy who claimed to be a manager contacted me recently and was extremely rude. His records didn't align with my text message proof. I even have cameras outside my house with footage of everything going on. No one ever showed up when he claimed they did. The last time a technician showed up I was leaving for work and I had to shoo her away. At that point I was already fed up with the company. This place is a scam and a rip-off. I'm not going to pay a dime for a service I never used! No wonder why they had a cheap price special. They lack quality, lie, and bill you anyway. read more

He came and did our initial spray when we first moved in a couple weeks back. There have been very few Unwanted guests trying to take up residence since that day, except a scorpion. He came back out today and resprayed the exterior and gave us more "sticky traps" since the spray treatment will sometimes draw pests out. His company is legit.
