You can find them Next to the topless club "cheeks" LOL

This place is amazballs. We call it the "chickin shack" on Cerillos road. It's a permanent little one/two man shack in the parking lot of the topless strip club on Cerillos road, you can't miss it. LOL The owner BBQ's the chicken out back his little humpy "chikin shack" you will see his van parked next to it filled to the top with charcoal. He just hangs out there all weekend barbecuing the most incredible freakin chicken you ever had this side of the Mexican border. Get there early or he will run out! One weekend he ran out of the beans & we had to get double rice. Durt durt durrrrrr, apocalyptic tragedy. GET THERE EARLY !!! You have been warned. You must get the BEANS!!! Omg :)... We have had the tacos, burritos, half & whole chickens. All of it is 2.die.4! The burritos are YUGE! Warm flour tortillas stuffed with that smokey BBQ Asado chicken, melted cheese & veggies, Hubby can not even finish one. Makes great leftover too. YUM! :)' I like the tacos better bc they are loaded with the succulent chicken & then topped with super fresh lettuce, tomato & fresh Oaxaca cheese on corn tortillas YUM! :)... Everything comes with the most incredible smokey, lardy, beans, real Mexican style rice cooked with chicken bone stock & Chiles Toreados (fried whole jalapeño) AKA "chili Toreado just say no" as hubby says, bc it's devils dungeon degrees hot. If you do not like spicy do not attempt the Chile's Toreados. Speaking of spicy, if you want some spicy salsa to go with it, ask him to give you some of his spicy chili sauce on the side for dipping. Holy baby Jesus is that stuff HOT & HEAVENLY !!! Very smokey red chili sauce with a KICK! Amazing smokey salsa! I LOVE IT! :)... The sides & sauces are just as amazballs as the chicken! The whole & half chicken comes with all the same sides with corn tortillas. Prices are listed on the menu. You def want to take some extra home with you! There are no tables or chairs or nothing. It's to go only. CASH only. You can walk up or call your order in & go pick it up. It comes pipin HOT fresh made, we can't even leave the parking lot b4 we start cramming it in our pie holes! Lol If you dig pollo Asado your going to LOVE this little chikin shack. This dude & his homies are seriously makin some authentic Mexico-Magico BBQ up in this joint & dishin out some super fresh flavor packed yummy sides & sauces made with professional Chef flair. YUGE. FANS. HERE. We don't usually eat in the titty bar parking lot, or any parking lot for that matter, but for this chikin, for those BEANS, for THAT sauce?! Make tracks for the strip joint "chikin shack" with CASH. IN. HAND. Make. It. RAIN. Highly recommend.

Cash only food truck with a limited but excellent product. They specialize in chicken and they do it very well. I had to wait 25 min because they were cooking more chicken. That's as freshly cooked as it gets. It appears they spatchcock the chickens which is why it's cooked so evenly. 4 stars because the breast was a bit dry. Dark meat was juicy. Flavor great and not overly seasoned. I might have liked a little more but that would have made it more salty I'm sure. Minor quibble. The accompanying rice and beans were tasty as well. I've included a photo of the menu with a slight price increase over time. Still an excellent product for the money.

Check your containers of watery Beans, Rice and Salsa. They only fill them half way. Seems this place is getting cheaper and cheaper

Would never come back again. ============= This review got flagged by Yelp HQ, let me rewrite this and be clear of what happened. I walked into El Callejon Taqueria and Grill, located on 208 Galisteo St Santa Fe, NM 87501 on Aug 22 2026. It was on a Saturday night, right before 9pm. This was my first weekend in the city of Santa Fe, on both Yelp and Google this location shows the restaurant closes at 11pm. When I walked in the bartender told me that it was closed. I wouldn't care that a business is closed before the listed hours; it was the way the bartender went about it. He could have politely told me that the kitchen was closed, and I would not have had any problem with it. He walked up to me within arm's length and continuously repeated "sorry we are closed" multiple times while getting closer to me. It was one of the worst experiences I have had to get escorted "asked" out of a restaurant. The experience was not good. To be clear I never get to try the food here.

Kind and quick - Parking: onsite lot, gets very crowded Came to Tomasita's on a Monday night while visiting my friend in Santa Fe. They don't take reservations and although it was very busy we were seated within 10 minutes. My friends raved about the "swirl" margaritas (Santa Fe classic, apparently) so we got a frozen margarita flight. We were able to adjust the drinks in the flight- they even made me a frozen spicy margarita although that wasn't technically on the menu. Very helpful wait staff. We shared the flautas and loaded nachos. Both were rich but fantastic. We asked for both with a side of green chiles (highly recommend). The flautas came with sopaipillas which were fresh, soft and YUMMY. (They even brought two more when we asked!) This is a vibrant place to come for special occasions or even a nice family dinner. Highly recommend especially if you're visiting!

Another pretty great find…read more.. An unforgettable dining experience at Sazón in Santa Fe with the legendary Chef Fernando Olea, a James Beard Award winner. Meeting the chef made the evening even more special! We enjoyed the incredible Pulpo, the famous Sopa de Amor, crispy Pork Belly, the unforgettable Enmolado de Pato (Muscovy duck with sweet potatoes and Chef Olea's signature mole), and ended with the iconic Dulce Sinfonía dessert. Every dish was a masterpiece of flavor, artistry, and passion. If you're visiting Santa Fe, Sazón belongs at the top of your list. Wonderful Ambiance! Hmmm...food was not as impressive as the first time. This…read morewas our second time at Sazon--my partner brought me here for a surprise birthday dinner. The atmosphere is upscale and beautiful--love the decor and artwork. The service was on point; our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food this time was just ok, except for the Sopa de Amor: Chef Olea's signature soup--that was heaven in our mouths. The steak (Popocatepetl: spicy black pepper crusted aged angus beef tenderloin / red cabbage and snow peas in cilantro vinaigrette / jasmine rice) we shared looked nothing like the description. Either our server was clueless regarding gluten-free, because this wasn't up to our standards for a high-end restaurant--the flavor wasn't the same as we remembered from several years ago, and the steak (medium rare) inside was colder--not room temperature, so I ended up not eating all of mine. Plus we had to ask for rice--which should have come with our meal since there isn't flour or any ingredients that would have made this harmful to me. Also, the side of asparagus it came with wasn't bright green and crispy--it was yellowish and flimsy-looking and tasting. For the price, this should have been more on point than what it was. We had split a steak, shared a soup, had a bottle of wine, two glasses of champagne, and a dessert--oh, and a $12 split change (something they suggested--even though my partner and I were fine eating from the same plate)...the bill was almost $400 with tax & tip. The dessert however, was presented beautifully with mixed berries and a liquor which was then lit on fire--a festive dessert option since I have a gluten allergy. There are so many wonderful restaurants. Unfortunately, the food did not leave us craving to come back for more. If the service and decor wasn't so impressive, Sazon would have received one stars.
