What I love most about sending my daughter to BumoCare is how flexible they are with my schedule, how easy they are to book, and the quality of care my daughter received. My daughter did a half day at the Pasadena location while my husband and I went on a much-needed date. I love how their classes are 10 students max, for ages 2-11, and they have different lessons and curriculums they switch up. For example, my daughter made a little shaker instrument when she was there. I also didn't have time to pack her any snacks or food, so I ordered a Little Spoon meal from them, and she ate it all up, she loved it! If you do pack your own foods, be mindful it's a nut-free facility. While we did have to sign a waiver beforehand just in case something happens, my mind was put at ease immediately when the staff sent photos and updates, and they do so often, which I appreciate more than people know. Hubby and I just knew our daughter was in caring and capable hands, and we know that trust is hard to find. When we came to pick her up, she had a big smile on her face, and they sent her home with a Bumo Brain Box, so there were many more goodies for her to enjoy in the comfort of her home too! read more

We LOVE BumoCare! When our regular daycare closes on random days (non-holidays) and we have no family in the area to help look after our kids, we turn to Bumo. It is a little pricey but It is not just a regular babysitting service - I see it as an enrichment program for both my kids. On days they were there, they were continuously stimulated with lessons and activities. My older one didn't even want to waste time on naps. There were just so much to do! They hire the most caring, gentle, and patient staffs. My daughter was having a tough drop off one time and all 5 caregivers working that day each took their time to comfort and console her. When my son's drool rash flared up. They made sure to communicate that to us right away through their Procare app. They go above and beyond in making sure both our kids felt welcome and well attended to. The last time we used their service, they sent us a total of 36 pictures and videos within a span of 8 hrs! I have no doubt they were under the best care and I wish this is their regular daycare. read more

I take my son to this daycare whenever I need to go into the office, and I always leave knowing he's being well taken care of. The staff are so kind and respectful of all the parents and kids that come through, and they accommodate earlier drop offs if necessary. Overall we had a positive experience here for what it is, but I also wouldn't choose to return unless we were really in a bind. They were generally very patient and kind, but I do wish there were two things I knew going in to committing to several days here. The first is that there is no outdoor space, the office is more like a series of cubicles like one you'd rent for a temporary office. It's well decorated, but my kid LOVES to be outdoors and that makes this spot immediately a last resort for us. (It also looks better in the photos than in real life.) But the biggest challenge we had was there's not a way to accompany your child back to the area where they'll be taken care of. That's always really strange for me and a deal breaker for care. They say it's because there are other kids there, but my child regularly attends preschool (that is currently on break) and we are able to walk her into the classroom and make transition nice and easy. Because of this, she really struggled with drop off and in the end on the final day I decided to keep her home. I know many parents deal with dropoffs where you have to try your best to let go of them while they are melting down and they'll be 'ok'. But in the end, if it doesn't have to be that way then it shouldn't be. It seemed like the expectation was that I would drop her off crying and she'd forget about it (which really isn't how a toddler operates, they continue to feel that stress even if they don't show it). My kid is very independent and secure, so to see her like that was a deal breaker in the end for me. The staff are kind and seem to like their jobs, which is always a huge benefit if you are in a bind and need childcare (and can afford the rate!) I don't think any fault is on them, more on the choice of location and the policy decisions. read more

I heard about BumoCare through Instagram. I was interested in the concept of paying as you need. My 3 year old has not gone to daycare yet and I'm sure parents can relate how nerve wracking it is to find an establishment that you feel comfortable leaving your child in. I reached out through the website to get more information and was contacted via phone the next day to schedule a tour. I really like the layout; there are rooms for different play activities, napping area, eating area. They were able to answer my questions and I really liked the texting option to continue the conversation even after my visit. After much decision, my husband and I decided to try it out. My daughter was greeted so genuinely and I was able to meet the teacher for the day. She also was able to grab a cute puzzle as a gift for her first time visiting. I was able to ask more questions; I don't think I can ever run out of questions I was just so nervous but they were very patient with me! My main concern was my daughter's ability to go to the bathroom on her own as she is used to having Mom or Dad support her. I also didn't want her to not be able to vocalize that she had to go if need be. They assured me that they do potty checks every hour and send me text messages when she goes. That for me was such a huge relief. Anyways, my daughter completely left me with no problem, I downloaded the app so I could receive messages and photos throughout the day. It's safe to say that all my worries were gone, especially seeing how happy she was. When I picked her up, she wanted to stay (great thing) and babbled all about her time there! We will definitely be back! Also to note, their doors are locked (you have to be buzzed in), you have to scan your personalized QR code to sign your child in and out. I wanted to write a review because today I was a first timer! I've never dropped my kids off at a day care as they are both young and it's always been a concern, but today I needed help with childcare and came across Bumo. The gentleman at the front was very kind and helped walk me through the sign in process. A lot of it is digital (on your phone) and the ProCare App! I was able to go to work and enjoy a nice lunch because I felt that my babies were in good hands. Specifically, Shavonna, a team member was incredibly sweet and nurturing with my babies. They were asking to go back immediately when I left. Although the price is a little pricey, the value I felt as a mother, was WORTH it!! Thank you Shavonna and team! Bumo was a lifesaver for our family. After staying home with my son, from his birth through age 2, I went back to work for an employer that had a start date sooner than I had planned for. Since my son was born during Covid, Bumo was his VERY FIRST drop-off experience. There were two key factors that made Bumo so helpful: 1. The"text-first" nature of the company made communication very easy and clear for me. From scheduling, to real-time updates and photos, having quick access to a Bumo employee gave me incredible piece of mind. 2. The Pasadena location has a destinated - dark and supervised - nap area for young ones. My son still struggled a bit trying to nap in a new place, but this setup - and support from caregivers - was the best case scenario. Speaking of caregivers, those at Bumo are very personable, good with the kids, and trustworthy. I felt confident (as confident as I could be for his first drop-off) that my son was in good hands. BumoCare exceeded my expectations in every way possible. As an anxious, over-worried mom, I wanted to make sure my son was close by in case anything happened since it was his first time being in this type of facility. BumoCare proved to be the perfect choice, situated just a short 5-minute drive away from old town Pasadena where my husband and I had date night. My favorite part of this facility was that it was SUPER clean and modern. The staff also went above and beyond by sending me photos of my son during his time there, giving me much needed reassurance. They have multiple rooms with lots of activities for kids to do so your little one will definitely not be bored. They also give you the option of purchasing food, which you can pay for in the app. The only con I can think of (which isn't a big deal) is that you must book a minimum of 4 hours even if you don't plan to keep your kids there the entire time. First time using Bumo as my daughter Emmi has a two week summer break from her Montessori school and we were without care. I was so worried about the transition with new teachers and kids but all my anxieties melted away the moment she walked through the door. I really loved and appreciated all the photos and updates that were provided throughout the day, it really helped to put our minds at ease and see for ourselves that our daughter was having such an amazing time. My daughter only went to Bumocare for a few days when we were in a childcare pinch, but I was reminded to leave my review recently when I found myself at an indoor playground that was temporarily hosting Bumo while their space was being worked on. Seeing the teachers doing their thing as a fly on the wall made me certain I'll be bringing my daughter there again. They were very warm and kind with the kids, and obviously very skilled, including with a special needs child who had some triggers and needed special attention. I've been following BumoCare since the very beginning and recently decided to try it out for my two boys (7, 4). I've been hesitant because they're a wild bunch and I wasn't sure how they would like it. We're now two bookings in and I could not be happier with the care and fun they have provided for my boys. They come home super happy and excited to share their day with me and asking to go back again. I don't know what kind of magic they do there but it works! I also love that they send tons of photos of their day and the different activities they do. Not only has the boys made new friends there, they have also run into their own friends there which is an added plus! This is the 4th(!) summer camp that I sent my son to this summer. I had been meaning to try this place out for awhile having seen it on Instagram and online, but always thought of it more of an emergency or 1-day spot and wasn't sure if my son, who is on the autism spectrum would be too much for them to handle. However, a friend said she was trying it out, so I thought I'd try it, too. I was quite impressed. Really clean facilities. They ask children to take off shoes. There are little rooms that are themed, and the children can explore freely. Throughout the day, the staff (who are super nice!) take pictures of the kiddos and make updates on the mobile app ProCare so you can see how they're doing. Only bad thing for me is that you can only book in 4.5 hour chunks, but I understand the need to do that for on-demand services. Joan, the co-founder, was kind enough to give me a brief tour at the beginning of the day, and the space just had a really good vibe. It isn't huge, but has a very cozy feel. They have a 15 kid maximum and the ratio of child to teacher was quite low. Based on my positive experience, I will probably check out other schools in their network which have been vetted and approved. Price is a little high if you need all-day care ($19-25 an hour), but I plan to send my son half day when I can to balance out the full-day cost. I'd have to say, though, it's worth it for the quality. read more

Very pleasantly surprised at how attentive and organized this location is. My son is 2 years old and usually has a hard time when I drop him off to his regular daycare, but our first visit here at bumo tots in Pasadena, he ran right in through the gate and didn't even look back! When I came to pick him up, he didn't want to leave! He had so much fun and I would definitely recommend to any parents needing a date night, or just relaxation time. They will be greatly taken care of and no need to worry, they send lots of picture updates. Very safe location, locked doors to ensure safety and you can tell they really care about the children. Bumo has truly been such a gift for our family! It's not easy to find quality and trustworthy childcare, but with Bumo you can rest assured that your little ones are in great hands. My 1 year old has attended sessions during the week and both my 1 year old and 4 year old have also attended "Camp Sleepy", which they lovingly call Saturday night Bumo childcare (While mom and dad enjoy an evening out). Both our kids have loved the location and everyone since we first toured it. They feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable when they are there which speaks volumes. Everyone that we've come across there is so friendly and accomodating. We absolutely love the app that makes everything so simple and streamlined from sign-in, updates throughout the day, to sign-out.
