The staff is friendly and quick with their service. They specialize in bun bo hue so you know it's good. I ordered a medium bowl and it was the perfect size when you're hungry. They filled up the bowl with plenty of broth, also comes with a side of veggies. The broth definitely hit the spot. Full of flavor. This is the wife's preferred bun bo hue place. I preferred bun bo hue duc chuong 2 not far from here, now known as BBH Noodle House. They changed owners or management and I don't think it's the same. We usually eat here on the weekends during lunch. I can get pretty crowded (max capacity 50) on Sundays when the church crowd from the near by La Vang church lets out. The tables are set up with tables with 4 seats in the sides next to the wall and 8 seat longer tables in the middle. The food usually comes out pretty quickly, and the broth is on the spicier side even though I always add at least two spoonfuls of ớt sả tế to ít. Probably the best on on the northside unless someone can suggest a better place. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, and the service was incredibly fast and easy (as most Vietnamese restaurants are). I wasn't expecting a lot when I ordered the BBH dac biet, but I was blown away with how delicious it was!! The broth is so delicious, and each table has additional chili paste, shrimp paste, and fish sauce you can add to enhance the flavors. I didn't find that I needed to add a lot, since the base was already so rich! I also got the medium, and normally have a hard time finishing pho bowls this size, but I ate everything here without fail because it was so delicious! Finally I found a bun Bo hue heaven spot . It's been awhile that I have that loving feeling of bun Bo hue again . This place is amazing and it's a blessing to find it . Before you come if you have a baby or infant make sure that you will be carry your child the whole time while eating, or leaving them home cause baby car seat or stroller are not welcome. They rushing us when we haven't even finish our food, snatch a bowl when my kid are still eating. And we barely got less than 20 minutes of eating. I think it's one of the best places in Houston but unfortunately you can only have it for breakfast or lunch, I usually work everyday so I can only come by every few months because they close at 3 pm ish or when they sell out. I think the prices has gone up pretty high too if you are price conscious. I feel as though they cut some of the portioning with the food through the years. At certain times when you see lines out of the door you will know that this is definitely the true stuff. There is another soup Place almost exactly like this with very terrible service and over salty broth that can rot in hell because here is the new kid on the Block and it's here to stay. The bun Bo hue here would probably be one of the best that you have ever had and pretty much the crowd here would pretty much indicate the truth and what I am saying about this place. The service is not stellar but when it is not packed up the buttocks with customers, you will at least get refills on your drinks. The people are even friendly here, you do not get that at places like this mark my words. When you find out that your kids are eating here twice a week for about two months in a row, you know you're pretty much hit home run on where they want to go when you come home and want to take them out to an inexpensive place and be able to make everybody happy the same time. They do not have an extensive menu but guess what that means? They can concentrate on what they do best! Parking is a little on the undesired side during peak hours and even with that it is pretty much a task in itself to find when it has not peaked at set for maybe 3 in the afternoon. If you have a friend or relative that has never had one bowl way before, introduce them to the one that they make here, it's an addictive Gateway that they will give a thank you or curse you about it later. read more

So glad they opened their second location up in the NW side of town. In a nutshell, their Bun Bo Hue is fairly good, actually better than most other BBH places around town. They only serve Bun Bo Hue or Pho, so don't come here expecting rice dishes or anything else. The staff seemed hard-working. I noticed most of them wearing gloves and hair nets when cleaning tables and bringing out food. It was refreshing to see. The service was also very fast and friendly. The BBH was good. Food and service is okay... not really a favorite or top choices to come here, however it is conveniently close to home. Recently came here with my family and my husband and I ordered the ice tea. Both of us literally did not feel well after lunch. We both felt like it could possibly be the tea as we were the only ones who ordered that as our beverage. He mentioned it might have been a detox tea as we spent most of that Sunday in the restroom. I felt that the tea did in fact tasted like a detox tea I've tried years ago... Hands down the best Bún bò Huế I have ever had. They only serve this and phỏ, so the service is always fast. One thing that sucks is if you want extra satế for your to-go order, they will charge $3. Otherwise, eat there and smother yourself in their homemade satế. I tried to order limeade (Đá chanh Tươi) from there and specified that I didn't want the salted limeade, but they brought me the salted one anyways... Then I was like ok what about the strawberry limeade? Is it made with regular fresh limes? I just don't like the salted limeade, and she brought me salted limeade with strawberries muddled into it. Mind you I spoke Vietnamese, so idk how there was miscommunication. I'm not one to request refunds/returns even though they do specify they do not take returns. For a Vietnamese restaurant somewhat located in Cypress, this place does the trick. Service was quick, and we got our food super fast. There are tons of seats available, and the parking lot is huge. They have food and different boba drinks there. The drinks range from milk teas, to fruit slushees. Overall, this place was a really great Vietnamese restaurant. Bun Bo hue is the best I had in the Houston area so far since moving here 18 months ago. Lived in Denver metro for 25 years prior and it definitely is better there. The key ingredient that was missing is the spicy sauce. Many of the places in Denver make their own and Bun Bo Hue Co Do 2 either uses the bottled chili sauce or if it is homemade it is definitely not as good as the places in Denver. My personal experience so far is that all the Vietnamese food in Denver is better than the Houston places I have eaten so far. read more

Came twice in 2 months to try the famous bbh noodles. The soup tastes fairly good. Small bowl ($8) has only 1 piece of pork hock so tiny I can swallow the whole piece in my mouth. Medium bowl ($9.50) still has only 1 piece of pork hock but is a slightly bigger piece. I ordered an extra piece of pork hock for $2.50. The size of all the pork hocks i have had is relatively small and quite tasteless. They also charge a 2.6% charge card fee if you don't pay cash but by credit card. With small food portion and having customers pay for their business expenses (card fees), i wonder if they will turn customers off. I don't plan to return for a 3rd time. read more
