#41 comes w dipping sauce and side of broth

Me and my daughter come here once a week. Quick service and everything is always delicious. We always get a large 41 to share. The pork is so crispy and flavorful, the dry noodles are a nice alternative when you don't feel like pho, and the broth is tasty. We love this place so much.

This used to be where the Pho Danh used to be next to the Hong Kong Supermarket. I'm usually a person who doesn't order the pho bowl but another noodle soup, however, this time I wanted to go back to my roots. Portion was good! Broth was delicious! Service was good! Che Thai was delicious! I'm actually craving for it now while I'm typing this!! Overall, it's been a while I've had a good bowl of pho. I usually don't put the hoisin and sriracha in the broth until I've tasted the broth. I know it's good pho when I don't even have to put it in at all and this is one place I didn't! That's saying a lot! I give a Truc-a-Licious rating of 5/5 stars!!!

    Pork with. Veggies and noodles.

Went here yesterday for lunch after picking up a few things at the Hong Kong Market. Walking in through the front door I knew it was going to be good. The place was spotless, quiet music playing in the background, clean tables, and staff attentive as soon as you walked in. I ordered the spring rolls and were stuffed with pork and shrimp. They came with a good peanut sauce. As for the main dish, the #34. A noodle salad loaded with veggies and pork. So very good and large portions of pork. This place is great and highly recommend it for a good quiet lunch.

Not Just another PHO place don't get me wrong I like Veit PHO but the owner here is Thai so they do Thai soup too. So this is why we travel about 30 minutes here about once a month the boat noodles are the best but also Yen da pho is delicious:)'

Awe I loved my to go experience here . The staff was very sweet and the older woman behind the counter is probably just the most adorable thing you could ever meet . I ordered the # 17 with extra tendon for $2 because I'm a greedy little bird and love love tendon in my pho . The broth was pretty tasty nothing super interesting as far as flavors go but it was a tasty classic beef broth which I enjoyed very much . The meat servings are very generous & I was satisfied for how much extra tendon I got for $2. I haven't had pho this enjoyable in a while I wasn't feeling super great upon pick up so I appreciated the prompt and kind service along with the delicious food I will definitely be returning .

    So fresh and so clean.

Clean, attentive, and delicious. Fresh veggie plates for our bowls of happiness was the winner besides the authentic flavors of our food. Surely will visit again to try their Thai boat noodles.

Nothing like one on one with my daddy with Pho. I wanted to share a priceless moment on yelp.

Daughter and Father occasional brunch spot! My daddy and I have been coming here for years! This place is nice and spacious not to mentioned perfect for that intimate talk as ironic as it may be in a large place. Their Pho has to be one of the best in the North of Houston and my ultimate fave is #24 Pho with chicken, pork and camaron (shrimp) like our kind server said. The flavors are always consistent and a significant bowl size whether you get the small or large bowl. Not only their amazing pho makes this spot the place for the obvious reason but I admire that eventhough it is a Vietnamese establishment the server went out of her way to speak Spanish to us since my dad speaks primarily Spanish and she did not have to do that but I think that experience made me love this place even more! p.s. I love their Spring rolls, they actually taste fresh!

The got nice wall art too, depicting the popular dishes from the north so I had my expectation and hopes up. Service is ordinary, she speaks little English but can get by ordering, we order first at the counter the sit anywhere. Braised egg is 2 for $3.50, salty but expected since it's marinated. Came out steaming hot, and yolk was not overly cooked and dry, not bad. Starting with the Chinese hamburger I felt sad and know not to expect too much from the other dishes we ordered. First the meat look different than what others have posted before, and it was kinda dry and too salty to eat. There was no other spice, only the meat juice flavor. The bun they use was stale to eat. Traditional way of making this should be the flaky oily pancake, or at least make the buns softer to eat. The mutton stew was clear and very heartwarming to drink on a cold day. But the portion is super small for the price. The glass noodles were gone in literally two bites. I had none to share with my boyfriend. This dish come with the burger bun too that you can soak them in the soup so I guess this is the extra carb make up for the less noodles. Oil splash noodle is their specialty? It was good but didn't wowed me. Noodles are chewy and well cooked, came with lots of bean sprouts. The sauce is flavorful and actually not too oily which I enjoyed more. You can add the beef for an extra charge, it's the regular braised beef, was just ok. I find it funny that their all food arts on the wall look nothing like the actual way they serve it.

We also loved the pork and leek dumplings and Chinese breakfast items (sweet soy bean milk, deep fried dough). Don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu--homey, authentic Chinese food. Self order at cash register area, self seating. Awesome prices. Limited indoor seating.

The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. This place is definitely a go to if I'm convincing a friend of Houston's great food scene! Rating: 4.5/5

No complaints here since we were starving from an 8 hour road trip. The Dan Dan Noodles...I had high expectations but sadly this dish fell short. I recommend Hu's Cooking to use a bigger bowl and more sauce because it was difficult to mix the noodles and the sauce wasn't...saucing, unfortunately. I wish there was more flavor in this dish. The Scallion Pancake was super over-fried and oily. See image in my review. The outer parts of the pancake were fried to a crisp and only a small circumference in the center stayed chewy. I know Chinese tends to be oily but this pancake soaked up way too much oil. Half a Peking duck: super great price for so much meat. The difficulty when eating this dish is gnawing the meat off the sharp bones of the duck. Mapo Tofu with white rice: pretty easy staple, no complaints here. Dinner on a Saturday was packed but we got seated quickly and food arrived fast.

The restaurant is located inside Jusgo grocery store. The seating is quite limited so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties. And it's pretty mom and pop, so if that's your jam, go for it. Chairs are mismatched, drinking water is somewhat self-service in small cafeteria-style plastic cups, and tables are small. Like I said - mom and pop, and that's not a bad thing.
