Food was so good, great service and cute restaurant. Recommend the chicken and beef with rice. We would have some pics but ate it all before we took a photo. We will definitely be back soon!

This place is really good, I got the Vietnamese fried chicken with rice and the fried chicken is really good and crunchy and fresh and the rice is so good with the fried onions. Then I got the Vietnamese coffee and it is very refreshing. The place is really clean and the staff is really kind. I recommend coming to this place.

We spotted Phu Xuan Restaurant across from the vietnamese grocery store and decided to stop by and give it a try. My mom ordered Mi Quang, while I went with Bun Bo Hue. The beef noodle soup was delicious and loaded with toppings. My mom really enjoyed her bowl as well. The service was great, and we're definitely planning to come back to try some other dishes next time.

I love how I don't have to drive all the way to Bellaire to get my fix for authentic Hue specialties. For me it's only about 20 minutes and I wish I was able to try more. The restaurant was clean, well organized, and had instrumental soft pop playing. The service was polite, quick and efficient. The walls were decorated with rice paddy hats near the entrance. They were also offering 10% off for Thanksgiving. I ordered the banh canh and a plate of banh beo with shrimp and pork cracklin. They came out in only a few minutes. As some other reviewers mentioned, the banh beo was served at room temperature, I would have preferred it to be steamed fresh but I understand that logistically it's more efficient to have them prepped and ready for service. The nuoc cham was a wonderful complement, slightly sweet, with thinly sliced jalapeños. The banh canh was a different style from what I've had growing up but it was still delicious. It's a thick broth type of soup, with thick chewy rice noodles (similar to udon). It was garnished with lots of green onion, cilantro and black pepper that provided a nice contrast to the soup. There were lots of ground shrimp and pork cakes (cha) throughout the soup, like nearly every bite I took had this delicious morsel. I will return, to try more specialties like com hen, banh nam, and others. I'm looking forward to it.

In general, the food here is all a bit too sweet, but still pretty good. Service was great and the food came out quickly. The restaurant is pretty spacious as well. The Banh Beo was really yummy and it came with a lot. We also got the chicken wings which were alright. Too sweet, but super crispy. The bun bo hue was flavorful, but again a bit too sweet. The egg rolls were good and pretty big. The salty coffee was delicious.

Their signature soup. If you're going for PHO you won't find it here served with lemon grass & perfect amount of spice

Very chill quiet , keep in mind they don't sell soda. But our food was delicious. They do not have Pho but they do have a delicious signature soup. The sausage spring rolls were a 10/10. The sauces 10/10 / my soups 11/10

I drove 45 mins from Richmond to Phu Xuan Restaurant. My first experience was this restaurant is too far lol.. The foods were ok.. I liked the BBH.. It was more Hue's style, i liked lemongrass fragrance alot and less dầu diều. My most disappointed was bánh bèo chén. It was too cold for me .. Their fish sauce wasn't that great. Bánh bột lọc lá wasn't my favorite neither, shirmp was too dry. I liked the bánh nậm. It was tasty and fresh. It was a decent size restaurant, service was just ok. I might come back to try the other dishes.

This place has been on my radar because of friends telling me about it. It did not disappoint. I wanted to treat myself to a little after work dinner. So I stopped by here a little nervous but the service was nice very simple. I already knew what I wanted haha... ambiance was welcoming. I wanted to try an appetizer too but I was by myself. The bun Bo hue I ordered was super delicious, it came with this ball of meat which was new but I thought it was different and yummy. The variety I got from the bowl was exciting and the broth wasn't too heavy. I would come back to try the other food items because they sell dishes that other Vietnamese restaurants don't have all the time.

Ambiance is relaxing and they play some calm dinning music too. Our server was a little shy lol but he is nice and quick to get us what we asked for like extra limes and extra sauce. The food here is delicious and it hits the spot when you're craving Hue food. Bonus point to the chillis sauce on the table, which has thick consistency and balance spicy flavor.

So cool to see a Vietnamese restaurant that specializes in Hue cuisine on this side of town! I love Hue food so this place was on my radar for a while. I tried the Mi Quang, which is one of my favorite dishes of all time. It was one of the best I've had at a restaurant in Houston. Usually I prefer this dish when it's homemade but theirs was just as good. I loved the wide, thick noodles and all the nice textures coming from the fresh vegetables, peanuts, and roasted rice paper. The addition of a hard boiled egg was a nice and welcoming surprise! The broth was super flavorful which is the most important aspect. The pork was also very tender and delicious. I tried my mom's Bun Mam Nem and thought it was delicious and authentic as well. The mam nem sauce was very pungent and flavorful. Loved all the protein in this dish. The thap cam special was great as well. I loved the banh beo the most out of all the different tastings. The fish sauce was sweet and slightly spicy from the jalapeños which paired well with every item. Phu Xuan does Hue cuisine justice and I hope to see more people discover their delicious dishes!

The filling is placed in a pan and then a thin layer of batter made with tumeric and coconut milk yellow batter is poured on top. You wrap the lettuce around the bánh xèo/bánh khọt and dip it in the fish sauce. I got the bánh khọt and the bò né. Bánh khọt is like a mini, thicker version of bánh xèo and came with nine pieces. Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

Upon arriving, every table was taken except our table w a reserved sign on it. The restaurant was bustling, but I could still hear my husband over the music and noise. The menu is huge!!! I didn't know where to start. But our server, Vanessa, helped us make a few choices. We started off w bánh xèo tostadas, bánh béo, & carpaccio. Then we had calamari and their steak special. I asked for a side of papaya slaw for some veggies. My favorite dish of the night was the carpaccio. So many flavors perfectly melded together. Loved the crunch of the fried onions and peanuts. 10/10 dish, in my opinion. Authentic banh xèo usually has an airier, crisp crepe, but theirs was more crunchy - great for their tostada take. Very flavorful. Each piece had one shrimp, but plenty of pork belly bites. The nuoc mam drizzled on it was tasty. Fried calamari - this is a big dish for, I believe, $'19. I prefer the dipping sauce on the side so that the batter doesn't get soggy. This did happen here, but it didn't stop us from finishing every last bite. The green sauce was good, not the usual dipping sauce for fried calamari. Steak special - they have another steak dish on their menu, but this one was pepper crusted w smashed potatoes. The potatoes were super crispy and flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked - a beautiful pink medium rare. The portion was huge and justified the $39 price point. The staple steak dish came with a papaya slaw and I had to have it. It was bright and limey - I can see why they serve it with their steak. Bánh beo - my least favorite of the night. A bit thicker than I like. Still good, but there were a lot of other great dishes that I could easily pass on this one. Try their hibiscus artichoke tea.

Late review of this little gem in the heights. Went here to try the food and drinks with my ex gf…read moreand we had so much fun. The wings are exceptional. Try them, I love a good Asian style wing sauce and this hits the nail on the head with what I am looking for when I think of Asian style. No notes. Would order just these 9.3/10. Beef carpaccio is not something I would order again. I don't really care for carpaccio to be fair. 6/10. Shaken beef had great flavor, but it was less beef cubs and more big beef chunks. Flavor was excellent, but the beef should be in smaller bites. 7.7/10. The stuffed crab pocket was unlike anything I have ever tried. Great seafood taste in the inside, crispy shell. 8.7/10. The calamari squid dish was nice. Flavor was good. Fresh ingredients. 7.2/10. Drinks and services were really the standout here. Super friendly staff and fun Thai drinks. Cute location and seating. 9.6/10.

This is a higher end fine dining restaurant so you should expect the portion sizes and price to be pretty comparable to a lot of other finer dining restaurants. Overall the food's flavor was fantastic. I ordered the king salmon clay pot. I thought the salmon was so tasty! They added pepper and sauce to the salmon - It was tender and flavorful and paired nicely with white rice. The quail (not pictured below) also was super flavorful and was cooked so well it tasted like beef. The soup was also light and refreshing, similar to a west lake soup. It was thicker consistency and had cilantro and chucks of lobster. The drinks served were also super balanced. We ordered the mojito and the dragon fruit cocktail. The mojito was the right balance between minty and sweet with just a hint of alcohol flavor. For the dragon fruit cocktail, it was very fruity, on the sweeter side but not overpowering and was topped with egg whites to give it a little bit of frothiness. I will say, we are slightly underdressed to enter this establishment. Everything seemed so luxurious and many people were in formal business wear! Keep this in mind if you go! There is a parking deck right next to the location as well, both self parking and valet!
