I don't really go to Pentagon Row but I'd say the food selection is interesting here. So I'm here with a group of friends and we see Bun'd up close by. We were surprised that it's actually two places in one; the front is for Bun'd Up and the other is for Noonchi which is another Korean Street Food/Bar area. I was so intrigued by both places that I decided to check out both places. This review is just purely for what I got from Bun'd Up. Walking in, there's merch and instant noodles and many open seats that are really colorful. I went here on a Tuesday night so I guess it was just really slow that night. There's a kiosk where you can order your food and after deciding on what I want, I decided to get the pick 2 bun option. I think it's like 2 for 10 bucks which wasn't bad but kind of pricy. I mean I'm in Arlington so everything will add up at some point... I picked the Braised Pork Belly Bun and the Spicy Fried Chicken Bun. The Braised Pork Belly Bun had pineapple kimchi, scallions, and cilantro lime mayo. Very interesting taste as I didn't really taste the kimchi at all but everything else did come to my taste buds. It was still good none less. The Spicy Fried Chicken Bun was good too. Gochujang glazed fried chicken with coleslaw and scallions makes for a very simple yet effective bun and I can't really complain. Both were delicious and it did keep me from getting hungry so it did it's job. Would I come back here? Maybe but I think Noonchi was the better pick out of the two. Either way with how you have to walk into Bun'd Up to get to Noonchi I actually have no choice. Check it out if you like a spin on Bao Buns!
Bun'd Up is in a cute little area with an open grassy area and lots of other restaurants. It was empty when we walked around 1:30pm on a Friday. No one really gave us direction on where/how to order despite seeing us walk in but I noticed a QR code on the table saying you could order. We sat in the patio so we could talk easier (the music was a tad loud inside). I had the 2 buns & fries special and a side of the Brussels sprouts. I wish I could have swapped the fries for the Brussel sprouts. The Brussels were good, but they have a ton so maybe split with someone. The buns were good too. I will say, this was very filling. I wasn't even hungry for dinner.
This is a cute little spot located in a trendy food court. There is garage parking available within a reasonable walking distance and there are a few metered spots as well. The restaurant has a decent sized dining area with a bunch of tables and a very nice outdoor patio with seating as well. I saw a large area that looks like it could be used for banquets or private events located in the back of the restaurant. You will find a television in the restaurant that was playing some weird cartoon while I was there, and they also have neo-soul music playing throughout. The restaurant serves food that comes in gao bao buns. They also make them in the burger variety. They are kind of like tapas in a gao bao bun. It is very unique, and I am here for it. They also sell ice cream, some adult beverages, and have drinks in a cooler there. They guy working the counter was friendly enough, but I will admit, I only had limited interaction with him. Be sure to check out their daily specials. I ordered a spicy fried chicken and a spicy pork belly bun. It took about 7 minutes for them to prepare, and they were fresh, hot and delicious. I did not think that they would fill me up, but they did. They were very flavorful and tasty. I really enjoyed my meal here. I was not here very long, in and out. I highly recommend checking this place out. It seems like a neat place and has a unique/exotic menu full of very tasty items. I hope to make it back here soon.
Overall, food was great but had an odd experience, likely due to how early I arrived. Read summary below: Came here on Friday around 11:15am and had an okay experience. Firstly, the restaurant opens at 11am, so I know I was a bit early. It was a very rainy morning and I was running some errands so I wanted to stop here and dine-in for an early lunch. Upon walking in it appeared there was somebody in the back kitchen but no other staff monitoring the front dining area. I went straight to the order counter and begin putting in my order into their kiosk, however, the screen kept freezing then would start at the beginning. I messed around on it for about 10 mins before somebody came out to help but I just ended up using a QR code once I realized they were on the countertops facing the side of the restaurant. As I was doing all of this to order, I realized how hot it was inside, almost as if the AC broke. It also looked as if they were doing renovations of some sort so right away I kind of figured I wouldn't be dining in. Got my order through and waited about 15 minutes. As I was waiting and starting to sweat I was getting attacked by a few mosquitos on my legs. I moved a few times then decided to just wait outside in the sprinkling rain so I could get fresh air and not get a bunch of bites. I felt the wait time was fine but there was just straight silence in the main dining room (no music, no TV sounds) so it felt pretty long and awkward. Once I got my food, I left. Ate when I got back home and was pretty satisfied. Wish I actually ordered more since they had a lot of great options. I'll likely come here again so hopefully I can dine-in in the future.
Location is convenient and around a bunch of other options. We went for lunch and they had their doors open for the summer day. It was a little odd that there was no one out front. But we ordered at the kiosk and our food came out. We got one of their lunch specials: 2 buns, French fries and a drink, and another 2 buns. Miso chicken, sweet soy fried chicken, pork belly, and tofu. Buns were soft and they were filled generously with some veggies. I think I could've used less of the sauce, since it made it a little messy and could've made it soggy if we didn't eat it right away. Our favorite was the sweet soy fried chicken. Tofu was second, since it was lightly friend. Their fries were also good, crispy and freshly fried. There were a lot of bigger tables to eat at. And inside was interesting, they sell other items and snacks on the side as well.
DO NOT EAT HERE! I just got to DC and was looking for something quick to eat to hold me over until my dinner tonight. Wrong decision! I ordered the 3 bun special off of DoorDash. One mushroom, one beef bulgogi, and one fried chicken. The buns were old and dry, the chicken was old and hard as a rock and the mushroom bun had the most DISGUSTINGGGGG clump of hair in my bun. It was long that I thought it was a rat tail. I'm quite literally gaggin right now. I've never experienced anything like this before. This place is filthy and disgusting.
Specializes in Gua Bao. Each one is $5, unless you order three, and you get $1 discount. I tried out their Bulgogi, Spicy Fried Chicken, and Fried Shrimp. They can be slightly messy as they're like a taco with sauce and other toppings on each one. I particularly liked the Bulgogi and Fried Shrimp the best. Pretty good spot to grab a quick snack.
Cute place in Pentagon Row. I think this used to be a Spanish or Italian restaurant before the pandemic. I came on a Monday evening where I was the only dine-in customer although I did see several pickup orders. Ordering is at the counter. Had the vegan dumplings and a mushroom bao. The food was not exceptional based on similar dishes at other restaurants. They have free play video games which is a plus.
In the area? Check this place out! Great deal and tasty Asian food! 3 baos for $13! What a steal for the DMV area. I came here for dinner, before I went to the speakeasy, Sparrow Room, in the Pentagon Row area. I had ordered the pork belly, friend shrimp, and beef bulgolgi. Loved how flavorful the porky belly and beef bulgolgi baos were. I would probably switch the fried shrimp to a different bao. It had a crunch and did taste like shrimp; however, it was uneventful.
Bun'd Up is located in Pentagon city right next to Mimi's ice cream. No reservations needed. It's a pretty casual spot that gives off takeout vibes but there are plenty of seats inside. You order on toastab and they bring out the food. Utensils and water cups are in the back of the restaurant. We got the cucumber salad, bulgogi bowl, bao bun, and loaded tots (additional add on you want meat on top). They also have a happy hour menu with discounts on some shared bites. The food was good but the bulgogi was not as flavorful or spicy as I had hoped. I'd recommend it for a casual hang out (and you can get dessert afterwards right next door!)
I love this place and the flavor of the buns. They're fun and delicious and I think it's worth a try if you're in the area. Just be prepared to need more food later because it won't fill you up. The down side: the chairs aren't friendly to anyone who has hips or isn't super skinny. But they sure are a cute aesthetic. $13 for three bao buns isn't bad, but they don't fill you up and I'd hope $13 dollars would go a little bit farther than as an appetizer. What we got: Soy fried chicken - 5* fat-freaking-tastic Spicy fried chicken - 4* nice flavor, the chicken was a bit tough Mushroom - 4* I do not like mushrooms so this rating/review comes from my partner. It was really yummy but mostly just mushroom. Pork belly - 3* nothing spectacular Bulgogi - 4.5* it's got a little kick to it and boy is it tasty!
It's a fun restaurant with tasty food and lots of seating. I got the pork belly, bulgogi, and soy fried chicken buns. I liked the pork belly the most--the meat was juicy and had a good balance of meat and fat, and the mayo and vegetable topping complemented the meat well. The vegetable was like a sweet pickled radish maybe? But very soft. I would get 3 pork belly buns next time, lol. Their bathroom has a changing table, so it's pretty baby friendly. I went during an AAPI creator event they were hosting, and it was quite nice. There were quality vendors and I would totally go to something like that again. Bun'd up was on my list for a while now to check out. I love bao buns, so a whole restaurant dedicated to them sounded like an A+ to me! We came on a Tuesday evening around 6:45/7pm and the place was a little different than I expected. It was pretty dead - but I suspect it being a Tuesday had something to do with the lack of people eating in. This restaurant is in a court yard like area with a lot of other restaurants and places to sit outside, so the area was pretty busy with people. We sat at a table inside at first and ordered everything through the app. Personally, I love and hate this. It's super convenient and you get to pay up front, without having to wait on a server. However, part of eating out is interacting with other people in my opinion. So this makes it feel more like a to-go pick up restaurant. I wouldn't necessarily go for the environment. We ordered several buns: beef bulgogi, braised pork belly, spicy shrimp, sweet soy chicken, and spicy chicken. All in all, I was happy with the buns. They had a decent portion of filling and I liked most of the options. My favorite was definitely the braised pork belly. It had a really tasty pineapple salsa on top, which I loved. My least favorite was probably the sweet soy chicken - it was just too salty for my taste. We ordered a couple more buns after the first six because we were still a little hungry and they were pretty good! However, this location closes at 8pm /(on Tuesday) and we were running up against the clock but got our order in beforehand - around 7:45pm. I don't usually like to do this, but we drove quite a ways to try these buns and enjoyed them, so we decided it was worth it. The staff was starting to close up before 8pm and it was making me feel even more guilty. We were sitting outside at this point and a few more people were trying to eat here, but quickly were dissuaded by the appearance of staff closing up. I honestly know the feeling, I used to work in a restaurant too. However, it just makes people uncomfortable in my opinion and if you close at 8pm, I really think staff should avoid cleaning up sooner if people are still there eating. It feels like a nudge to get out the door asap - which I'm sure it is. The staff was friendly when they spoke to us, I just didn't like feeling like I was being pushed out when they weren't even technically closed yet. Giving this 4 stars because I enjoyed the buns and would return, but I didn't love this particular experience. I'd also try out different locations too to see how they compare. read more

Pork belly is a must! Perfect combination of flavors. The pork belly is just fatty enough without being overbearing. The mango is ripe enough to have that sweet twang with a slight tartness. Bulgogi is marinated well. Blend of the spice and cucumber is spectacular. I enjoy spice, but sometimes the spiciness level over-power the flavor, but not in this case! I'd recommend this to those that enjoy a bit of spice The spicy chicken was flavorful but my least favorite of the 3, but that said it's tough to compare chicken against pork and beef. In my opinion the spicy chicken was a tad bit dry, but enjoyable nonetheless. The bun is amazingly light/ fluffy with a mild sweetness that goes perfectly with the meats and condiments. read more

Ok so the food is alrightttt. It's deff season-less super bland like literally little to no flavor! As I was eating the loaded tots and saw the oil I got sick immediately, Inserted a pic. Apparently it's "stu grease" as the cashier stated....? (To me it's oil/grease) that should've been drained as you top the fries (imagine this arriving to your home after sitting in oil to delivered for a Togo order ). I threw away the entire thing bc my tots were drenched and it just tasted like I was eating tots soaked in olive oil. Yuck Also, The service could definitely be better super awkward and unwelcoming by staff although the cashier was nice this day. I explained my concerns with my food and was ignored. So delicious! I finally decided to check out Bun'd Up in Pentagon Row. They definitely did not disappoint me. I came for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the place was empty. I ordered ahead for pickup and decided to sit outside. Everything was ready when I showed up (right on time). They have three tables outside with umbrellas. Perfect for a cool afternoon or evening out with friends. I had some trouble finding the place in the shopping center, but once I did, I dug right in! Their 3 baos for $13 deal is such a great idea since you're able to sample all of their exciting options. A great variety too, ranging from tofu and mushroom to fried chicken, bulgogi, and more! I ordered the shrimp, bulgogi, and the fried chicken (after reading the reviews, this sounded like the best combo). The shrimp was fresh, cooked just right (crunchy, not soggy), and dripping in sriracha mayo. Scallions for added flavor. The bulgogi bao comes with pickled cucumber and chilli with just the right amount of heat. Nothing too overwhelming as to overpower the juicy, tender beef. Great portion of meat too. You can really dig in and enjoy. Last but certainly not least, the soy fried chicken! Everybody said you gotta try the fried chicken so it was a no-brainer. I really enjoyed this one and it came with fresh cabbage and again, a generous portion of chicken (two stripes lined the bao). Overall, I would say this is a great spot to meet friends for a casual dining experience. They're also working on construction for a larger room (coming soon). Ambiance: The restaurant definitely needs a lot of work. The air conditioning wasn't working when I was there, but it was overall clean. Food: I ordered the three buns, two Bulgogi and one Pork Belly. The food was very good. Staff: The staff was nice. The girl the front was very polite and helped us with our order. The food came out quickly as well. Conclusion: I had an overall good experience and will return. read more
Yum! A modern Asian fusion place for delicious bao buns. It is a great spot if youre looking for a quick bite to eat. The 3 for $13 buns is such a great deal. I got the Korean spicy chicken, bulgogi, and shrimp buns. All 3 were delicious although I may have liked the shrimp and bulgogi ones the best. I also got the fried tots and chicken wings which were soooo good. Perfectly fried, not too greasy, crispy outside and tender inside. The miso ranch dipping sauce that comes with the tots is to die for. I'd put it on everything if I could! Nice picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy your food as well. I give bun'd up a 4.6/5 stars I loved the food here. They recommended the bulgogi spicy chicken and the spicy pork. I think they were all really well done. The flavor and combination in the buns was really solid. I also ordered the crab Rangoon dip and thought it was really really awesome. It paired well with the buns. If you come here make sure to get the bulgogi and try some of the appetizers. My total bill for three buns and an app was $23 not terrible for pentagon city. read more
Hubby and I decided to go here after a recommendation. We're got a few buns, tots, and the vegan dumplings as they were out of the pork dumplings. It was fairly quiet in the place considering they had the patio door open and a bunch of people and kids were outside. Everything was good just not boast worthy. And not worth the decent drive we took. But if we are in the neighborhood would definitely go again. read more
The fried chicken bao (had at Something in the Water) was positively delicious. Texture was crispy and just right, loved the contrast with the soft bao. The mushroom one was good too, just wasn't my favorite compared to the chicken. I will note I had this at Something in the Water, and it was prepared well in an outdoor festival setting. Service was friendly with a smile, and I look forward to checking out the sit-down location in the future. read more
Fantastic buns!!! Their 3 for $13 bao buns feel like a steal, they're so delicious and filling. The bulgogi one tasted kind of dark with legit kimchi-cucumbers on top. Their chicken and spicy chicken Baos were my favorite with crispy, cool coleslaw on top. Their pork bao is more like pulled pork than slabs of pork belly like I expected, but still good. The bread of the baos is also cushy soft and adds a lot to the experience. The crab Rangoon dip is loaded, yummy, and great to share. read more

I ordered on DoorDash and got the shrimp, spicy chicken, and beef bulgogi bao buns and the crab rangoon dip. The bao buns were pretty good. I personally wasn't a fan of the beef bulgogi, but the shrimp and spicy fried chicken were great! However, the crab Rangoon dip was terrible. I'm not sure if this is how it's always made, but I only took one bite and the amount of seasoning/garlic made my eyes tear up and completely overwhelmed my senses. First time here for the Wife and I. We found this place on Instagram, and overall we were not disappointed. The service was nice, the woman Paris taking our order answered questions to help us with our decision. The place was quiet and had nice decor, and the outdoor seating was nice as well. The buns were delicious, not spicy as advertised but flavorful. We ordered the 2 Buns for $10. We both decided to try the Soju beverage which does contain alcohol. They taste like whatever flavor you purchase but nothing to rave about. All in all we enjoyed our first experience here. read more
I had the chance to go to Bun'd up with my Project Manager and it was awesome. We got a solid amount for two people. They have indoor seating and tons of seating outside as well. The whole vibe is awesome and the wait for food was not that long. Highly recommend. read more
I can't believe I haven't checked out bun'd up earlier after living in this area!!! My boyfriend and I both got the 3 baos for $13 and hella worth it. I got the crunchy shrimp, bulgogi, and the shredded pork. That is also my order of ranking. The crunchy shrimp had a delicious sauce of sweet chili mayo - so the blend of flavors were the best to me. The bulgogi had wonderfully tasty marinated meat filling the bao to the brim and the cucumber kimchi was a good balance with the strong sweet marinade of the meat. The pork bao was still amazing, don't get me wrong. It had more fresh flavors with the cilantro, lime, and pineapple kimchi flavor. Also got an order of the tots which was very crispy and fresh although it was basically tater tots with furikake sprinkled on top. The miso ranch dressing was not bad though, although it tasted pretty similar to simple ranch. Was still a good side. The baos were SOOOO fluffy and fresh and yum. Made a quick stop at Bun'd Up today and the food was good! Flavor was good and everything tasted fresh although the rice bowl was a little on the small side. I wish there was more rice and veggies in my rice bowl, had so much bulgogi left over! Staff was friendly. There was also a mahjong class/event going on (Wednesday) in case anyone's interested. read more

I really like this place, especially the baos. Loved all of the baos I got (pork belly, fried shrimp, & spicy fried chicken). My favorite is definitely the spicy fried chicken, as the crunch of the chicken skin with the texture of the bread was amazing! Definitely recommend- I could eat this every day. read more

Not impressed, or may have had different expectations. *Review is specifically for the bulgogi bowl* For a little over $14, feeling a bit deceived with how much of this "small" bowl is rice--close to 3/4 is rice and pickled veggies. Taste: the beef used is not the typical bulgogi cut of meat, which did not compliment this take of dish. It's a bit tougher/thicker, very salty, and on the dry side. May try another item next time read more
Bun'd Up serves a modern twist on bao buns! Tried the Pork Belly, Fried Shrimp and the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken. Also got the loaded tots on the side! Everything was delicious, though I do favor the fried chicken one. The Loaded Tots came with Miso Ranch, which I thought was a pretty interesting flavor combo. There was actually a surprisingly good amount of pork that came with the tots too. Three were enough to fill me up, so even though they look pretty small, they're surprisingly filling. The loaded tots were a little pricy, so if you're looking to save, I'd skip those. I'd definitely recommend the pork belly, but you can't go wrong with any of these! read more

In DC for a few days. Got food delivered to the hotel. Wonderful satisfying Korean style buns. I ordered the Trio which seemed good value for money. Chose 2 fried tofu and 1 mushroom. The buns are soft and squishy but somehow have a decent density to them. I preferred the tofu to the mushroom but it was nice to get different options. The tartar like sauce on top added a nice flavor to the bun. I also ordered the cucumber app which was alright. Nothing too special. It had a nice crunch and was refreshing. Certainly added some texture to the meal. Overall getting an app paired with the trio of buns was a perfect amount for 1 person. Glad I got to try this place out. read more

The restaurant is in the main Pentagon Row square and is currently just a table with a cash register and drinks on it. Very easy to order online and then pick up. I've ordered the buns/baos and the rice bowl with all their vegetarian options (tofu, mushrooms, and spicy eggplant). My fave is the spicy eggplant rice bowl topped with an egg (extra $1). The egg comes out just right, with crispy edges and gooey yolk. I really appreciate a vegetarian option *other* than the typical tofu or mushroom you find at restaurants. They're good (the tofu is small fried cubes, and the mushrooms are chewy and lightly seasoned), but when was the last time you saw thinly sliced eggplant, battered and deep fried until crispy, then drizzled with sauce (the chili and gojuchang mayo are both flavorful) on the menu? The rice bowl is large enough for 1.5/2 meals. The baos are good (pretty much what you expect from, say, an Asian taco: sweet *and* savory), but I'll always pick rice over bread. The sauces add a lot of creaminess and flavor. read more

I stopped in for a quick bite at then Pentagon Row location and ordered the bao bun trio (spicy friend chicken, friend shrimp, and bulgogi). The bao buns are generously portioned, so three was plenty. All three were actually quite good, but the bulgogi was my favorite. I also ordered the cucumber salad, which was okay. I should have ordered the brussels sprouts. read more

I was really excited to hear that PCity had a new Asian restaurant. The menu seemed awesome but perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. With the abundance of options nearby serving Korean Fried Chicken and bbq flavors, it's hard to give this place more than a 3 overall for food. The ambiance and experience were great though, and I just wish that they could up the flavors just a bit or tweak the prices. When paying more than $40 for a meal for 2 people, there are flavor expectations to be met in an area that has high standards for Asian food. - Food - 3/5 - My order of the 3 Bun Deal came back with one wrong order and it was puzzling to figure out which one it was. I had originally ordered the Korean Fried Chicken (4/5) solid flavors; Fried Shrimp (3.5/5) subtle flavors that was lacking a little on quantity; and Pork Belly. I didn't realize I got Korean BBQ until I was a bite in (because there was no hint of cilantro lime) and unfortunately, I have to rate it a 2.5. No distinct flavor, dry meat, and the flavors didn't gel. We also got the potato salad (4/5) which was good, reminiscent of traditional Korean restaurants serving this dish. The smoked cornish hen (3.5/5) was a little off. As a rice platter but having the bone-in chicken served on top, I wasn't sure whether to eat the rice while dipping the chicken in hoisin sauce (which is difficult with the bones), or as a bowl (where the ginger flavors were a bit too strong and didn't mesh well). It was maybe a hair too overpriced but if it had boneless meat that was easier to eat as a bowl or with more consistent flavors, I wouldn't have minded the price. - Service 4/5 - The server was nice. I wish I would've checked the order for the mistaken bao. - Cleanliness 4/5 - The place uses disposable boxes and doing its best to distance people. - Ambiance 4/5 - This place would be great as a happy hour or a spot for a quick bite. Had their food truck location at a brewery and it was delicious. My husband couldn't stop talking about how pillowy their bread was and their beef was seasoned really well. We got 2 Korean beef bao buns and 1 chicken. Absolutely loved all their food! read more

It's a quick bite in a nice plaza with lots of seating outdoors with lots of other restaurants nearby. I got the fried shrimp (two yummy pieces), pork belly, and spicy chicken baos. 3 for $13. It was good! Solid for what it is. read more
This is a hard review to write, and I will be back soon to see if they have worked out problems at their new location. For two years, I have loved Bun'd Up's food truck at Georgetown University every Wednesday. I was excited when this new location in Arlington opened. Union Market is just too far for me. I ordered a rice bowl with fried chicken and pork belly as well as two pork belly buns. Fried Chicken and Pork Belly Rice Bowl (3/5): Their fried chicken was essentially just a mediocre chicken strip. It tasted like something I would get at McDonald's. There was almost no sweet soy glaze on them. The pork belly was good but not as good as what I'm used to getting at their food truck. Finally, there was plenty of rice but very little meat and kimchi in the bowl. For $13, I expected more chicken and pork belly. If they had provided more chicken/ pork belly, sauce for the chicken, and kimchi, this would have been a much-improved experience. Pork Belly Buns (4/5): This is what I've almost always ordered. I've always found Bun'd Up pork belly to be some of the most flavorful in D.C. This pork belly was good, but the bun was too oily. Grease was practically dripping from the bun. Their condiments were good, though, and the buns themselves were great as always! I hope to be back soon with a better review. So glad that Bun'd Up has opened in Pentagon Row! We've been hoping for something like this to open in Pentagon City and now it will be one of our go-to places. This place is huge! So much seating. Great location with a paid parking lot right next door. Or if you are at the mall already it's just a quick walk away! Right by DSW and TJ Maxx. We ordered a couple things to try: Pork Belly bao & korean bbq beef bao ($10). These are the "original" flavors and they were pretty good! The bao buns are fresh made and were dense yet fluffy. I didn't love the bao since they got soggy and broke while we were trying to eat them, but the flavor was very good. They were too hot to hold to eat right away and by the time they cooled down the bread had soaked through. Fried shrimp rice bowl ($13)- the fried shrimp is amazing! So crispy and not greasy at all. Comes with plain rice and a side of pickled onions and cucumbers. Even though I loved the shrimp I wouldn't get this again because it was kind of bland other than the shrimp. I would give the fried kimchi rice a try instead! Bulgogi Cheese Steak ($9)- this is what gives Bun'd Up 5 stars from me- this sandwich is AMAZING. The price is really reasonable for what you get- a ton of perfectly flavored beef stuffed into a crispy bun and paired with onions, shallots and delicious cheese. So good!!! I'm probably going to order this every time I come and would definitely recommend that you give it a try. It comes cut in half so it is easy to share too. Overall, delicious food at a great price point for the area. They do have very limited hours right now so I would call to check before you show up to make sure they are open. They have a corner of drinks and some asian snacks too. read more

The food was pretty decent but it felt like they were trying to compensate the quality by dousing the buns with sauces. We got 6 bao buns ($26) and kimchi fried rice with pork belly ($13). Our least favorite bao bun was the beef one because it was very average, there was nothing special about it... also a lot of unnecessary sauce on it. The best bao bun was the shrimp one because it was crunchy/sweet and unique. A close runner-up would be the fried chicken... well because it's fried chicken . I wouldn't pass on the mushroom one either. It was fun being able to mix and match the bao buns and try the different items together. The kimchi fried rice could be a bit more kimchi-y though because once you fry it, the original taste gets lost. The ambiance felt a bit weird; they kind of just threw the tables together in a big wide space. There's so much room for growth though so if they included some games or anything else, it'd really put this place together! Overall, I would go back if I had the time but it didn't blow me away. If I could give this place a 3.5 stars I would. read more
The food is really good! I regret not getting the buns but I really wanted to try the bulgogi cheesesteak. It was filling! I wish they used different bread, but the flavors were in point. My boyfriend got a rice bowl and liked it, but thought it was 80% rice and not enough protein. The bulgogi from the second half of my cheesesteak I put in his rice bowl because he was still hungry.
