Me and my boyfriend were there yesterday night at 6pm . We were discriminated against by this lady bar tender . I was not intoxicated but am on meds from the doctor and have a disease. I was accused of being under the influence wrongfully. She said she didn't feel comfortable serving me . I was in no way intoxicated but I have an intellectual disability and social disorder and am a small woman that weighs 90 pounds. This bartender wrongfully judged me !!!! I'm enraged me and my boyfriend left and found a nice bar with a nice bar tender and nice people. The bartender at the next place has no issue with me I told her what happened at bungalow joes plus I only drink 2 drinks !!! I was wrongfully judged by my mental disability!!! I dont drink so sometimes act as designated driver. They have free pool on sundays as well as 1/2 price pizza all sizes ,the pizza is AWESOME by the way, great sauce and hand made there, not frozen then cooked like others. Only thing that bugs me is the $2 soda, no refills for what looks like under 12 oz glass half filled with ice, and bars make a killing on soda. We have been coming here for years and have been increasing our group size each year. No longer! The horror stories from the bartenders about the owner are crazy! Last night was the 2nd time we were told by a bartender that the owner observed them not charging us correctly. Once was .25 not enough for a long island and last night the bartender came up to me to let me know 2 weeks ago the owner saw he undercharged us 18.00 on our last bill. We go there all the time and in some cases tip 50% (or more) because the bartenders are actually pretty awesome. We have been told several times by the bartenders how grateful they are when we visit. (Most of us are in the industry). Last night after several hours and about 300.00 later (among the 6 of us), plus gambling and juke box, this ended up being our last visit! What a way to crash my 1 year anniversary party! The crazy lady is watching the cameras, micromanaging and does not appreciate the customers she actually has left. Ungrateful! Karaoke is rather fun here. I didn't really drink, but the bartender was very friendly. The crowd seemed to be regulars. They have really great deals, like 99 cent hamburgers on Tuesdays. There are more, I just don't know them. Everyone seems really nice, except the bouncer is really adamant about having an ID, even if you're not drinking. read more

Oh Joe's...my buddy introduced this place to me 2 weeks ago and let me tell you...it's growing on me! It is not sitting in that spot for its looks, sweethearts...its still there because of its great waitstaff, bartenders, and drink specials. The crowd? Hahahahahaha, dont you worry about the crowd okay? Just dont make eye contact, drink your beer, talk to your friends, and mind your business. I came to this bar two weeks ago after a terrible experience earlier in the evening at a 'popular' club elsewhere in the suburbs and my night completely turned around! The drinks were excellent, the people were fun and friendly, and the band playing that night rocked hardcore. It wasn't too crowded, nor was it lacking people -- had just the perfect atmosphere. My review will be a little limited. Coworkers and I usually frequent this spot as our own happy hour. Haha we're night shift nurses nearby, and this is where we get our "liquid breakfast." There are numerous specials, drinks are cheap, and the food is decent! I tend to go for the garbage nachos, and those never disappoint. The grilled cheese was forgettable. Sloppy loss were meh. I feel like my bill is never under $50, usually having about 3-5 drinks and a few shots thrown in. The bartenders, dan and Janet, have always been great and personable! Great to chat with, and they have a good sense of humor. There's a pool table, darts, a boxing bag, and a jukebox for extra fun. The interior itsself is a bit outdated. There have been times someone's been vacuuming while the bar is open, and the other crowd of people who come here seen to be older and quieter in the mornings.. Maybe my crowd is just a little crazier though! For me, it's all about the affordable drinks here, and that they're open at 8am. read more

The first and last time I went the bartender harassed me and my friend all night with his rude, obnoxious remarks. Biggest UN-entitled d-bag I've ever encountered. This bar is bad. Bartender ignores you unless you are in a group. The food is just cheap andf over priced. It is small and on an ugly street in an ugly town. The parking is pretty bad and the crowd sucks. The bathrooms were filthy and the Tv's were tiny. I thought I was back i the eighties with the TV and the decor of the place. This is the best dive bar around! Great food & Cheap drinks. They have daily specials through out the week. I love Thursday nights .50 cent drafts. Bartenders are the best, always very nice, esp Katie, Amy, & Angie. I suggest getting a seat at the bar if you can, they usually only have 1 server at night and it can get a little busy after 9pm. read more

This place is the quintessential dive bar of all time that I've been to. From the great bartenders, to the awsome owner, and the cast of characters that frequent this joint; it's always a fun place to come in for a beer after work. Decent menu as well. One of the only places I know that serves tall cans of High Life, Pabst, Bush, and I think they still have Schlitz, but 100 percent sure on that on. Also one of the only places I know in the area that has a cigarette machine. Brings back nostalgia seeing one of those. Great jukebox, fun video games, pool table, video slots, karaoke, and live music on Saturdays makes this my go to place a few times a week. read more

some of the amazing specials (like .50¢ drafts) and great tasting thin crust pizza are worth coming to this little place...other than that 5$ bottles and otherwise somewhat high prices across the board prompted a three star rating. the atmosphere is small town style with a tiny stage for random events and a collection of video gaming staggered about. I had a half off a large pizza coupon so the wife and I came here twice to use them, with half off- a large pizza costs 9.04....I honestly wouldn't want to pay 18$ even though the flavor is good and the thin crust is nice. This is your basic dive bar and does not claim to be anything else. Not a date place. Bartender was friendly and he made recommendations. Parking is kind of tight. Did not try food. It is great that they have bands but unfortunately there is always just a few people in the audience watching. The few times I have been there they cannot seem to draw a decent crowd. read more

This place has some of the best Buffalo wings around---I tell them to make them extra crispy and they come out perfect! You get a lot of them for a great price. The pizza and other food is alright---bar food. I heard the nachos were pretty good. The service is good as well and the owners are pretty cool. It's a pretty good size place, with booths / pool tables toward the back, and tables with bar stools and seats at the bar near the stage / front door. There are bathrooms at each end. Normally there are a decent amount of people, not too dead, not too packed. On some nights when they used to have karaoke on Saturdays, it could get packed with singers. As of right now, I don't think they're currently offering karaoke on the weekends which I am deeply saddened by......... :0( They used to have Jedi Entertainment running karaoke, and the host was cool----great radio voice / personality! They didn't have the greatest song selection though, but I heard they were updating it........then they tried Stars & Bars, whom I loved! A ton more songs, and enthusiastic KJ as well.........I heard they had "BillVis" doing karaoke before, but I've never been to one of his shows. Please bring karaoke back! :0) read more

So I heard about this bar so I decided to check it out. I have heard good and bad things. I went on Karaoke night which was a Friday night with some coworkers. I liked that they had a full bar and a late night menu. I am originally from the south suburbs and last call for bars is at 2 am. Not here. It is 3am which i like. Especially if I get off late. ( prarie station, time out west, Brachts place...) I literally watched someone puke in the corner ..i came back a week later and it was still there! There's a horrible bathroom in the back do NOT go in there seriously ...ants everywhere ..and it's like 15 ft from the kitchen. $4 bottles of domestic beer? Haha..like I said u can go almost anywhere within 3 miles and pay 40% less and not get hepatitis...bulldogs right down the street on the same road has SEVENTY beers on tap...and u can get a pint for 2 dollars! THIEVES. That's all I can say about their "upper" employees. The owner obviously won't do anything about it, I've tried. But the owner doesn't know that they are stealing from the bar ALSO. I've sat there at shift end and watched the drawer get shaved by the "favorite" bartenders. Maybe that's why all the prices went up last year. I'll take my money where I won't have to worry about the staff stealing it, thank you. I'll bet if the owners knew what was going on there (ie; actually BE there sometime), they would clean house on the thieves there. But no, another flash in the pan bar that will go out soon. The only reason I gave Bungalow Joe's 1-star was because this site does allow for anything lower. Worst bar/dive experience I have had in my life. Not only is the parking situation bad, but the service staff is rude and dare I say racist. This was my first time visiting the place but I was singled out from a group of first timers to show my ID. Not a problem, them problem I have is when I'm 35 and they need to see a 2nd form of ID. Again, I was the only person of color and the only one singled out. So if you are looking for a horrible time, this is you place, otherwise head to City Loop for a great experience and cheap drinks. read more
