Bacon, rosemary and cheddar quiche with a flakey crust.
    Jon L.

Quiche it up! Should you have the opportunity (it's not always on the menu) order the quiche. Today was bacon rosemary-forward quiche with a light and. Flakey crust and a plenty of bacon. It's a special and not available everyday. The friendly staff suggested that we ask after it so they know if there is demand. Add to that the fun vibe of an old garage (these should all be bars and restaurants IMO) and it's a great way to start your day.

Enjoyed Greek bowl and my friend the Bandit bowl as we sat outdoors and enjoyed conversation with locals! Thank you. Easy to bike over to this place from the bike trail. Cold brew was a treat too! Pretty fast service for all the people that were here!

Very welcoming atmosphere with a unique feel to it being a garage in the past! Friendly people. Fresh fast food, no joke. Quality ingredients and so much deliciousness. The coffee was pretty good too. I would come again.

We were told to check this place out by another couple. It a transformed automotive garage trans formed ( in our opinion ) in to this nicely located restaurant. Seating outside available and it was a sunny day. This is a bustling restaurant filled with locals and visitors. It so interactive that it just feels so homy and invigorating. We ordered biscuits and gravy and the Clyde burrito. The biscuits and gravy were awesome and my dish came in a bowl with potatoes, topped with scrambled eggs, green chiles and cheese. Very very good presentation and very tasty. The coffee's were excellent as well and beans freshly ground. There are also a lot of other options of food from smoothies; fruit cups; desserts, baked goods, salads and soups. Many in gluten free or vegan styles available. Definitely a place to stop and enjoy your foods! The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated and festive

I visited on Thursday at 11am and I was told they weren't serving breakfast - huge bummer. It was unclear if breakfast stopped at a specific hour, or they served it until they ran out. I ordered one of the vegan bowls instead and it was tasty! Their food (or their vegan options at the very least) definitely caters to the healthy side of food, with mounds of vegetables in every dish. I wasn't a big fan of the vegan burrito because of this, but it was a good option nonetheless. A few days later, I was able to order breakfast. The vegan biscuits and gravy were incredible. My husband ordered the vegan bowl and it was great as well. I prefer their breakfast to their lunch, but you'll have a good meal either way.

All selections were fresh and eccletic. The homemade offerings were delicious and wide. Friendly patrons and friendlier staff. A morning in Salida is made better with this local business. Decent Americano. Water available. Local flair.

Cute coffee shop with small menu of hot food items with a couple of vegan options. We ate here twice during our stay in the area. The turmeric lentil dal was a bit dry and plain but a little hot sauce made it better. We went back for breakfast and had the Bunny burrito which was very tasty. Coffee was excellent. Wifi available.

Vegan bowl with gravy instead of eggs, 2 vegan breakfast burritos, and a green machine

Absolutely delicious and healthful, real food, that's quick to boot! Unfortunately we arrived too close to closing to be able to order the Indian dishes so we settled in with (surprisingly spicy) breakfast burritos served with an incredible tahini sauce, and the veganized breakfast bowl, which was DEVOURED within seconds of tasting the rich and creamy vegan gravy. Finding perfectly roasted veggies underneath all of that delicious slop was just the cherry on top. Salida is a a lucky place to have this delightful cafe amongst its breakfast scene.

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.

Pulled into the parking lot and electric vehicle chargers were like towers of hope for the power-deprived traveler. The menu looked limited. Was there for lunch. Breakfast menu looks extensive and good. Ordered a burger and turkey club and iced tea. Overall it's great. There were so many people with dogs or multiple dogs that sitting peacefully in the exterior seating area wasn't that peaceful as bickering alpha dogs tried to act dominant by whelping and arguing with each other. Wasn't a fan of the barking and screeching and loudness that lasted the entirety of the meal while observing the dog owners either oblivious to the mayhem or ignoring it while swiping on their janky iPhones. I won't dock points in this review due to the dog drama. It is what it is. Salida is a wicked dog-friendly town. I will return for breakfast. You should also. You'll be glad you did.

We come up every other weekend to visit family, and this is a place we keep coming back to. The sandwiches are really good and consistently high quality every time. They are on the pricier side, but you can easily split one, which makes it a great option to share. The menu has a ton of options--it can feel a little overwhelming at first--but honestly, you can't go wrong. We've tried quite a few, and every single one has been great in its own way. Pro tip: during the summer, the line can wrap around the block. If you don't want to wait 30-40 minutes, ordering online is definitely the move. Also, don't skip their bars--they're absolutely amazing. Perfect to grab for later if you're heading out on a hike, or just enjoy it right there. Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich and taking it down to the river--that's honestly the best part of the whole experience.
