First of all, this is a walk in and order at the counter and pick up at the counter type place. Staff was super friendly and nice. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was so delicious. One thing I didn't like was that we were there a few minutes before 11:30 and were only allowed to order lunch. The lunch menu is very limited, and they were out of some items. We had soup, and it was really really good. There are only a few tables inside and more tables outside on the patio, so we sat outside. They have no bathrooms. That was a big bummer. Had to go somewhere else and make a purchase at that other place to be able to use a restroom somewhere else. read more

Quiche it up! Should you have the opportunity (it's not always on the menu) order the quiche. Today was bacon rosemary-forward quiche with a light and. Flakey crust and a plenty of bacon. It's a special and not available everyday. The friendly staff suggested that we ask after it so they know if there is demand. We were told to check this place out by another couple. It a transformed automotive garage trans formed ( in our opinion ) in to this nicely located restaurant. Seating outside available and it was a sunny day. This is a bustling restaurant filled with locals and visitors. It so interactive that it just feels so homy and invigorating. We ordered biscuits and gravy and the Clyde burrito. The biscuits and gravy were awesome and my dish came in a bowl with potatoes, topped with scrambled eggs, green chiles and cheese. Very very good presentation and very tasty. The coffee's were excellent as well and beans freshly ground. There are also a lot of other options of food from smoothies; fruit cups; desserts, baked goods, salads and soups. Many in gluten free or vegan styles available. I visited on Thursday at 11am and I was told they weren't serving breakfast - huge bummer. It was unclear if breakfast stopped at a specific hour, or they served it until they ran out. I ordered one of the vegan bowls instead and it was tasty! Their food (or their vegan options at the very least) definitely caters to the healthy side of food, with mounds of vegetables in every dish. I wasn't a big fan of the vegan burrito because of this, but it was a good option nonetheless. A few days later, I was able to order breakfast. The vegan biscuits and gravy were incredible. My husband ordered the vegan bowl and it was great as well. I prefer their breakfast to their lunch, but you'll have a good meal either way. read more

There seemed to be a lot of staff but still they seemed hurried with minimal attention given to customers. I think most customers were regulars who didn't need attention. Stopped by on our way out of town and we got handed our breakfast burritos as we ordered them. They were piping hot and we had to let them cool down for a while before we could dig in. They were pretty good and I'd go back for another! We were so hungry we didn't take pictures. Absolutely delicious and healthful, real food, that's quick to boot! Unfortunately we arrived too close to closing to be able to order the Indian dishes so we settled in with (surprisingly spicy) breakfast burritos served with an incredible tahini sauce, and the veganized breakfast bowl, which was DEVOURED within seconds of tasting the rich and creamy vegan gravy. Finding perfectly roasted veggies underneath all of that delicious slop was just the cherry on top. Salida is a a lucky place to have this delightful cafe amongst its breakfast scene. read more

I ordered the Flower Child, and added the green chili for a spice up -it was just a table spoon for $1 You are asked to tip before you even see your meal and there's zero service. Tables are filthy and not wiped. Every part of this bowl was heavy, greasy & over-flavored with who knows what, b/c I couldn't make it out. The mushroom gravy was "broke" and not at all creamy - terrible appearance, texture and taste. Potatoes were ok, but I couldn't get the mushroom gravy off of them -bummer. The veggies looked like they were made two days ago, and consisted of mostly Brussel sprouts (some chard black), white cauliflower, maybe a yam and there musta been a beet in there b/c red color ran on all the veggies. I picked around 4 bites and was done! I went to throw it away in the bus station some else threw their dish away too...looks like the curry bowl. Why wouldn't they notice this trend everyday? The breakfast burritos are pre-assembled. As a result, your product quality will vary based on how long your burrito has been sitting. For us, the tortilla was drying out so it sat too long. The upside is that if you are stopping in to grab a bite to go, you are in and out with no nonsense even if there is a line. The burritos are large and filled heftily with proteins and potatoes so it satiated our needs as we headed over to Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Note that this is more of a gringo type breakfast burrito, it is not Colorado Mex. The green chile was not discernible and it likely was a piece of green chile as opposed to a gravy. read more

Wow! I have been on the road for a few weeks and heading home. I stopped in this cute little town just getting out of the mountains. The coffee shop has a homey feel. The staff is very friendly but more importantly the food is delicious! I appreciate a business that takes pride in their food. They also have a quick prepared food to go if your in a hurry.
