This place is now completely separate from the shuttle company. It's own coffee shop / breakfast place. Food was great! Good quality breakfast sandwiches and burrito. The people working there were great. Chai latte and London fog were lovely. There is a great kids area with coloring books and toys, so we enjoyed breakfast while the kids played woohoo 10/10. We're always on the hunt for breakfast places in and around Salida and this one surprised us. We will be back! Tab for feeding two adults three kids was about $55 which honestly is as good as it gets these days. Only potential negative was it's a little slow to get the food which makes sense because it's just one person back there, but we weren't in a rush and it wasn't crowded so no big deal. read more

Not bad. Small menu. Biscuits and gravy... I think the gravy might have been a tad under cooked. Not terrible, but something to note. They did get my sons order wrong but made him a new burrito quickly. The patio was more like an extension of the dirt lot. This shuttle service completely ghosted me. I spent my money, time off, time away from my 3 kids to get here to do this shuttle to Monarch Crest. I booked on 9/26/25 for a shuttle service to the Crest on 10/17/25. A full 3 weeks in advance! I get there and the coffee shop people said it's closed. They try to help me out and call the person that runs the shuttle and he says yea. no dice. I'll refund his money. The guy has no remorse or balls to call me or reach out to me saying he messed up!!! Don't book this shuttle service. Book with Absolute Bikes instead. This place should go out of business and just might with how it's being ran. read more

Finally pulled in here before a hike. There was a mini rush of customers right before me . The two guys handled the rush great and got my order out fast. But they really nailed the biscuits and gravy. Probably some of the best I've had (very rich). And the coffee, though a bit pricey, was great! I don't make it out to Poncha much from Salida, but this place definitely deserves some more attention. read more

This place has it all! Food, service and ambiance. This is a small coffee shop that has adequate seating and also tons of food. Good options vary between pastries, sandwiches etc. they also serve mimosas and beer! I got the mocha americano and it was delicious! read more

A quick stop for snacks and treats and beverage lead me to High Valley Center Sinclair convenience store in Poncha Springs, Colorado. I noticed a full service Deli inside. I love the delicatessen craft. And Frizbee golf accessories on the cheap! Quick and speedy service. Clean bathrooms. What more could someone want? I would like to suggest a fresh brewed iced tea nook with all the condiments including fresh lemon wedges and mongo 72oz cups. That would be delightful. Try the delicatessen craft. Traveling between the Front Range & southwest Colorado, you'll pass this place either just as you come down from Poncha Pass or just before you begin heading earnestly upward. Take note: clean bathrooms for the kiddies & yourself, friendly staff, munchies and hydration of all sorts, deli sandwiches made to order. It'll be more than a few miles before you pass the confluence of those things in the same establishment again. read more

Worth the stop! Lovely coffee shop with lots of seating and very clean restrooms. Friendly staff, our drinks were flavorful and refreshing.

I always stop at this convenience store for one of the big bags of tamales from the freezer. One day, I stopped on the way to go camping, and I saw these frozen beef patties right next to the tamales. Turns out, those aren't for sale, but somehow the clerk accidentally let me buy them anyway. I have never, before or since, tasted a hamburger that good. So my point is, stop here for food. Use the restroom if you must. I see they have a "password" for it now, so I'm guessing it's a little cleaner these days. (I've seen some nightmares in there.) Hang around for a burger, and maybe a beer, and be sure to grab a bag of those tamales for later. The chicken ones are the best. read more

This is a very strange place. They run the popular mountain bike shuttle for the monarch crest. The owner was very unhelpful, even though we were spending money, when he learned that we didn't plan to ride his shuttle. They also have a bathroom donation box and a long plea in the restrooms about how many people use it and how it is a hardship to them. I'd say that's part of own a gas station. read more
