This place is still amazing! I have done their curbside pick up due to COVID. However, when I went in February (before the mass hysteria) the older lady that cut my buns nails was extremely rude. She talked to me like I was an idiot, for asking if she needed me to hold my bun for her. Then she rudely said "okay, you need to move out of the light...or I can't cut her nails, because your standing in my light." I understand that she was frustrated, but she could have just asked me. It's not like I could tell I was in her light, I was just trying to make sure she didn't need my help with MY RABBIT. This lady is RUDE, I don't understand how she expects to get many donations after being rude to all of her guests. I have seen her on multiple occasions, and each time she is RUDE. My mom went there for me to pick up an order and she said the lady was just as rude. read more

I absolutely love Bunny Bunch! I adopted a second bunny yesterday to be friends with my first rescued rabbit that I adopted last December. With both adoptions the staff was very helpful and patient. They are very knowledgeable and we took nearly the whole late afternoon to chose the right companion for my lop. We were very well instructed on Bunny Bonding techniques and my two rabbits are thriving and happy. I look forward to years of watching their friendship grow. Caroline saved my bunny! After attempting to get my rabbit seen at a vet clinic for a reoccurring mandibular abscess for months, I had just about given up hope that I would be able to save my bunny. Due to the pandemic, vet clinics were no longer taking in new patients and I was turned away from every clinic I contacted. I contacted Caroline in a last attempt to save my bunny and within minutes she called me. She was able to get me seen with the Exotic Veterinary Center in Pasadena (a clinic that previously denied me because I was a new client). I strongly believe my bunny would not have survived if Caroline didn't get us in to be seen at the clinic. Despite having loads of other things to do, she took the time to answer my questions and helped me find a solution. Caroline didn't even know me or my bunny and helping us would be of no benefit to her and yet she took time out of her busy schedule to help us. I will forever be grateful to her for the kindness she showed us. My bunny is on the road to recovery and we can't wait until he's all better and ready to be bonded to a new bunny. This is one of my favorite rescues! Caroline and her staff are such wonderful people! I rescued my bunnies from another local rescue but found this place after. We have purchased our bunny supplies for a while from this place and we are happy that our money goes back into the rescue! The bunny pens are always so clean and are well taken care of. I've seen people complain about the extensive adoption process but they just want to make sure bunnies go to good homes. Many bunnies are rehomed often and I can understand their process. Overall a great place and they really do care well for all the animals rescued! read more

I got my boy bunny back in November 2017 and I'm sooo glad I adopted him! He brings me so much joy and he is the sweetest little bun I've ever met! Not only do they have the lots of bunnies to adopt but they also have treats goodies toys and every other kind of bunny supplies you need! I need to make a trip soon to stock up on treats and toys. READ BEFORE ADOPTING!!! I'm extremely disappointed with this rescue. I had been supporting them for almost two years, bought 90% of my rabbit food and supplies with them, took my rabbit there often for grooming, and even left her in their care for 20 days when I was abroad. I always trusted them with any advice. I finally decided to adopt another rabbit, filled out an application and sent pictures of my rabbit and her area/things to Caroline, the owner. Then, I received terrible treatment. At first, after submitting the application, I spoke with Ariel. I asked about three different male rabbits and was told immediately that they were all adopted out. Then I asked about any other ones and they left me hanging, never got a reply. My mother went there to get some food supplies and spoke to another staff member about what was going on and they said that all three bunnies we had asked about were still available (including one with special needs that we had asked about). Days later, I reached out to Caroline once more and she told me that she wasn't aware of any pending applications, but would get back to me soon. She never did. Days later after not getting any answers, we called again and we were finally told that we were not approved for adoption and the reason was because we didn't have enough space. This wouldn't be something unresolvable, however Ariel was very dismissive towards us. She did not give us any other recommendations or solutions, she just did not seem to want to work with us. She even said that no other place would approve us. The worst part about this is that we do have plenty of space for our rabbit, and a second one. She has the entire living room to hop around. It is incomprehensible that bunny bunch would deny us adoption when they keep ALL of their bunnies in what seems to be a one square foot of an area !! Also, often times, the areas were filthy with animal waste. I do understand that they must not have enough space or volunteers to care for all the animals, however, I don't understand how my home is considered too small or unfit when they keep their rabbits in such conditions. They just don't seem to want to adopt their rabbits out... Again, I am extremely disappointed in the way I was treated when all I wanted was to give love and a home to another animal. They refused to work with me. I will not be returning to bunny bunch to support them in any way. I feel sorry for their animals. read more

I just adopted a pair of sweet, playful, and adorable bunnies from the Bunny Bunch yesterday. The volunteers there are amazing. I didn't have much contact with Caroline but she seemed nice too, though I thought she would be more involved when some of her bunnies were getting adopted. Anyway, the volunteers talked to me the whole time and were able to address every question I had. They accommodated my every need and helped me know everything I need to in order to give these bunnies the best life possible. They all really went out of their way to help me. I was really surprised because their shop is very reasonable!! I didn't buy a ton of toys but now I wish I had so I don't have to go back. I thought I'd be able to find similar prices on amazon, but this was not the case. They do online and phone orders but then you have to pay shipping.. and I guess I'd rather just drive back up there. If you're looking to adopt, this is really your one stop shop. When I first walked in I was overwhelmed with the amount of bunnies (sad really how they just get dumped because they lose their entertainment for children after easter).. but that means it's easier to find your perfect match because you have more selection. They had all ages and breeds. I'm so happy to have adopted a bonded pair, and I'm so glad they refuse to break up bonded pairs... they are incredibly happy together and after one day they've already started running around my house doing happy bunny dances.. and they've shown no interest in my cords. And yes, they are litter trained and fixed! I'm excited to take advantage of their bunny sitting and grooming in the future. All of the volunteers asked me to keep in touch if I have any questions so I know I will never be left alone. Also, can I say that the person who gave a one star review below clearly has no idea what they're talking about? yeah, they're limited on space so their bunnies can't live in ideal conditions, but at least having these extra spaces (while not ideal) help save more bunnies from high kill shelters and very bad situations. This is actually the first place I've been that had many large pens around as well. They have as many as they can fit in there. They're seriously packed wall to all. And trust me, I can tell these bunnies get top care from the many volunteers here who are passionate about bunnies. They're a non-profit doing good work so they're doing all they can. Excuse them for being strict about the appropriate life a rabbit requires LONG TERM. I'm sorry for the bunny from the pet store that has to be tormented by your 4 and 6 year olds. Sorry. I want to preface this review by saying that I drove 40 miles to this place because it looked legit from what I saw on the internet. I needed to get my bunny's nails cut and I also wanted to adopt a bunny friend for him. I called ahead of time and they said no problem, to come on in. For the nail clipping, the staff turned my bunny upside-down so that he was in a trance-like state. I know that this is not good for the rabbit and can be a very scary experience for him since this is like being pinned down by a predator. I would expect this from someone inexperienced in rabbits, not a place that seems knowledgeble and borderline preachy about them. Bringing me to my next point... The lady on the phone told me to bring my rabbit to make sure that he gets along with the rabbit that we adopt...but there was so much more than that... After the staff said that my rabbit looked healthy she explained that they simply could not allow me to adopt a rabbit because my rabbit stays in a [big] cage. They don't let people adopt if they plan to keep the rabbit in a cage, even though my rabbit runs around my apartment for hours everyday. And how do they know the living quarters of perspective parents? They do a home inspection before allowing an adoption. If you have a rabbit, they do dates as well. Are you kidding me? Do they want these rabbits adopted out of the cages that they keep them in at the Bunny Bunch? Furthermore, how can they judge whether a rabbit should live in a cage or not when they still think that it's okay to put a rabbit in a trance to cut their nails? Besides that, the store itself had some good stuff. Got a big bag of hay for $11 and some treat for less than $5...better prices and selection than the pet store. read more

First of all this Bunny Bunch place had REALLY BAD customer service. Honestly if I could give it a 0 star review I would. The owner Carolina something or whatever that name is kept asking me questions and I understand, I answered honestly but she had every excuse for each of my answers to not let me adopt a pet. I'm disappointed and I know I was ready to have a pet but this human didn't let me. Anyway I went to a different and better adoption center and actually adopted a pet. So anyone who's reading this I strongly suggest not looking into this place because in the end they will refuse/excuses to not let you have a pet. Not really sure how much I can say about this business. I filled out a 50 question online application to adopt a bunny and was sent an email asking me to call the next day. I called and the recording said they'd be closed for the next two days. Okay... Gave up calling after a few days and texted the number. You can also adopt bunnies or let your bunnies stay here if you go on a vacation. The owner is very awesome. Can't say enough good things about the staff here and the cause they support. We went to the new Fountain Valley location yesterday, interested in adopting a bunny. We decided that before we make a decision, we wanted to visit the main location and see potential other options, so we made the hour drive to Montclair. They have bunnies everywhere. It was really sad to see that so many of them were either mistreated, surrendered, or left to die outside (these are domestic breeds). The Bunny Bunch really has opened a lot of bunnies to good foster homes as well as the rescue locations. They have all different breeds and all different conditions. In addition, they have guinea pigs, some cats, and chinchillas. For the most part, they adopt bonded pairs (or singles if they will be bonded), but they also have bunnies for single adoptions as well. The stories of the animals at this location are so heart melting. At first, we were interested in adopting one of two healthy bunnies - they were adoptable as single bunnies, had been litter trained, and were so mellow and not at all uncomfortable about getting picked up. While we're still thinking about one of them, the adoption staff asked us if we were interested in adopting a special needs bunny. We had previously adopted an older bunny of 8 years (he passed away when he was 13) from the SSPCA who picked on by bunnies and cats alike in an outdoor hutch and had eye/ear infections and sores on his feet. He was the best pet that anyone could ask for. Thus, when we were asked about being interested in caring for a special needs bunny, it struck a familiar cord with us. There were two that we were looking at: one who wobbles when she walks (pretty sure that it's a cerebellar defect, but I'm not sure), and another who is blind (we had eyed her from the website for a good week or so). To be honest, we're now torn! We went there wanting a young, spritely bunny, but having the opportunity to care for a special needs bunny is so close to us, that we might just go that route. I've heard a lot of good reviews about this place from others as well as I constantly use their website's threads to help me care for my bunny Artemis. But when coming here, I felt so appalled and it was definitely not what I expected. Anyway, getting down to the chase. My baby bunbun recently passed away and I was hoping to fill in the void that's left behind by adopting a new little guy. When my girlfriend and I came, the place was cramped and had a very distinctive ammonia smell. As we approached the location where they had most of the bunnies, it looked like a small prison. Over crowding of bunnies and there were cages everywhere! The poor animals had room to run but not to the point of comfort. For a place that loves to lecture about comfort and not caging bunnies, they sure don't live up to their word. Now if only that was the end of it, you're sadly mistaken. So in order to adopt a pet, you have to fill out an extensive application and on top of it, the proprietor demands a "house check"; show her pictures of the place the rabbit will be staying and the pen/toys/stuff it will have. Oh, and if you have a cage for the bun to go take care of business in a litter box, it's a big no no to them. How dare they tell me I can't have an OPEN CAGE for litter when all they do is cage their animals. What a bunch of hypocritical individuals. To top if off, the lady with the British accent is highly condescending, speaking to me as if I have no idea how to care for a rabbit. She is knowlegable, but micromanaging an adoption situation is not going to get the rabbits adopted. Oh and did I mention? They wasted 2 hours of our time because the British lady is a tough lady to get a hold of by phone or text. And even if we paid for the bunny, they wouldn't let you take it home immediately. Now I can go on and on about how horrible this place treats you, since all they care about is lining their pockets with donations instead of adopting out animals who needs a forever home, but nonetheless, I shouldn't, all the other bad reviews will cover what I have not on mine. As for the pros of this establishment, it has bulk items for cheap which is nice. I giant bag of hay or toys/treats are very inexpensive. They do have nice staff when they learn to get their heads out of their asses and leave the condescending attitudes at the door. Now go ahead and adopt a bunny here if you like to have a headache and being lectured to as if you're stupid, but I would rather adopt from other locations like Foster Army; we ended up seeing them and adopting a cute Harlequin/Dutch bunny for half the price and none the headache. read more

We haphazardly purchased two baby bunnies from the swap meet. The Bunny Bunch was a great help to us as we had no idea how old they were, and couldn't even verify their sex. They are VERY YOUNG boys, one is a Dwarf, they are affectionate, sweet guys and we love them! Bunny Bunch has lots of supplies and we were able to get some supplemental grasses that will boost the boys calcium intake until they grow up and a nice rubbery brush. They offered a free nail trim and checked the nails with a little flaslight. the lady there seems to genuinely care about the buns and was a wealth of information. The place is guarded by a very chilled out cat that the buns seem to know, it's a cute little "Bunny Hotel" we'll bring the boys in for a stay when we travel. read more

I went to the Bunny Bunch today for the first time to get some hay. I didn't know that I would also get such an education. I realized when I got home that I didn't get the lady's name who was helping me but she was amazing and so knowledgeable. I normally go to the vet to get my bunny's nails trimmed but when I returned home I picked up my bunny and went back for a nail trim. Not only did she trim his nails but she checked his teeth, his ears, cleaned up some extra fur, and expressed his glands. I didn't even know that was a thing. This was a more thorough check up than the vet had ever given my rabbit. She recommended a better vet than where I currently go and I'm going to definitely switch vets. The bunnies, chinchillas, and guinea pigs are extremely well cared for and you can see how much the staff care about these animals. I'll be buying my hay and bunny supplies there from now on. I love bunny bunch. I come here every month to buy supplies for my 3 bunnies, and every other month to get their nails trimmed for free! Bunny bunch also offers a full grooming service, which you do have to pay and ask for an appointment in advance. I also adopted all three of my fur babies from here. I had to bond two of them and they get along great. (The other one doesn't get along with the others, so he is separated from them.) The workers are friendly and knowledgeable about bunny care. Stopped by to see what treats I could find for my bun-buns. They have a good selection of hay, treats, toys and many other items for the bunnies. I purchased a nice big bag of Timothy Hay mixed with marigolds for only $8. I also found some peach delights- dehydrated peach slices- as a tasty treat for the buns. I also got some delicious smelling pumpkin pie cookies and our bunny Snowball loves the toss rings we purchase as well! Customer service was good, answered our questions and made some good recommendations. She also recommend some tasty crunchy mix of twigs, pinecones and other chews for our chinchilla! They have many cute rabbits, chinchillas and a Guinea pig available for adoption. I don't know about their adoption process because that's not the purpose of my visit, but I did browse their little critters and they were adorable! For those complaining about how they ask for pictures of where the rabbits will be living, and how difficult it is to pass the adoption background... I don't see why that is a problem. I recently adopted a guinea pig from BB, and I have to comment on the lengthy process others have mentioned. I completely understand the point that, if they want their animals to be adopted into loving homes instead of staying at their facility, they shouldn't make it such a difficult process. However, you have to keep in mind that the Bunny Bunch ends up with rabbits and guinea pigs because people rush into buying an animal that they aren't ready for or can't care for. People buy a new pet without the knowledge of how to care for it, then decide it's not a good fit and drop it off at places like this. I can only imagine that, being on the receiving end of that for so long and seeing so many animals dropped off like unwanted, used goods at a consignment shop, they must want to make darn sure the people who adopt their animals aren't doing the same. Yes, I had to fill out a page-long application and wait for it to be reviewed before I could adopt a guinea pig, but I was happy to do it. I was happy to do what I needed to convince them that my chosen guinea pig had found his forever home and he would be well cared for and loved. :) read more

I'm super bummed because I really want to like this place. They offer great items for our pets, at a great cost too. But today we took our bunny for a grooming and I understand that we can't enter with everything going on right now but the communication was 0/10. No one let us know really what they did. I'm guessing they just trimmed his nails cause that looked somewhat done. But nothing about his glands. He definitely did NOT look groomed and the only communication between us was to put him in the crate and that he was ready, so grab him. I also reached out to ask for whoever groomed our boy to call me and let me know how it all went and if there's anything I should know and I still have not heard back from anyone. Like I said, it's a cool little spot. I really had high hopes but communication was just super ughhh I truly wanted this experience to be better for my other buns. read more

I've been coming to visit the Bunny Bunch with my boyfriend for quite some time now, before with no intention of getting a rabbit because my college apartments did not allow it. We would spend our time looking at the cute rabbits and only wishing we could take one home. Years later, with our new place, we decided it was finally time to adopt! Everyone at the Bunny Bunch is so welcoming and are always eager to help give the rabbits to a good home. I've talked to many of the volunteers about adopting, as well as Caroline. They were all so helpful to us in educating us about how the rabbit's home should be like, what their diet consists of, etc. They were also very helpful in having us choose which rabbit to take home - we ended up choosing the perfect little bunny for us! Usually, adoption fees are $85 (all rabbits are spayed/neutered and have been well taken care of, so totally worth it), but there was a deal in February so we got $10 off the adoption fee. We got most of our supplies here, and like everyone says, the essentials are a BARGAIN here. We got a huge bag of Orchard hay for like $10 (still hardly made a dent in the bag, totally worth it, and FRESH!) and a bag of pellets for $10 as well (which would last a whlie). We also got a couple of toys for our new bun. I was also told that they do free nail clippings and scent gland cleaning for the rabbits on certain days, which is great! This will be the one stop shop for all of your rabbit's needs. Overall, the Bunny Bunch is a great place to go for adopting a bun as well as getting supplies for your rabbits - as well as guinea pigs and chinchillas! The staff is very helpful, the prices are great, and all the rabbits have been well cared for. Definitely come here and you will not be disappointed. read more

We have adopted several pets from them and they really care for the pets they save. Caroline and Tim are the owners and they go out of their way to take excellent care of all the animals they rescue. Have personally watched them and can confidently attest to their true love and care for animals. Facility is clean as can be for rabbits. It is pet heaven for a rabbit facing being put down at a shelter. Just FYI - I buy as much of my products from them as I can because "all the funds" go to support the shelter! Don't waste you money at Petco or Petsmart the shelter uses it to actually help the pets! read more

If I could give no stars I would. These people seem to not want to adopt the rabbits out. I took my niece to pick one out for her birthday and had already gotten everything the bunny needs. I explained this to the lady over and over. I've had rabbits before and know how to care for them and I would be the sole caretaker of the rabbit. She continued to jab little hints that I wouldn't be taking care of the rabbit properly. But having a hoard or rabbits in a closed room is? She insisted not to take the rabbit outside because it could get raccoon ringworm. Which I'm sure may be a possibility.. But how likely? Not to mention we went on Sunday for their "hoppy hour" which claims its only a $5 donation for a rabbit. After I had spent close to $200 on supplies for the rabbit I thought how cool they do only $5. That's a lie. I ended up paying the full $85 for the rabbit my niece picked out. And we couldn't take her home that day. I needed to go home and take pictures of the set up and area the rabbit was going to be in. My niece was so upset but I told her we would do it and you can get your bunny in a few days. Her father ended up taking her because I was out of town for a couple days. The lady then seemed to con him into buying all of the same supplies that I had already bought because she didn't believe we had them. Even though they were all in the pictures I provided. And she insisted on needed more pictures! Thankfully her father complied just to be able to take the rabbit home. I thought it fishy to want more pictures of the house. Don't waste your time, breathe, or patience on this place. I was trying to do the right thing by adopting a mistreated rabbit and give it a good home. They don't want that. How can a place preach about rescuing animals and making them happy when they keep their animals caged up and seem to want to make it as difficult as possible for wanting owners to take bunnies to loving homes. As someone who has had bunnies my whole life, I must say this place is a big disappointment. If you want to adopt a rabbit, be ready for a laborious process. I had an easier time obtaining a government security clearance than adopting one of their tortured animals. I made the mistake of coming here on a weekend with my kids, thinking we could adopt one of their rescued bunnies. The one we wanted had been in the facility in a tiny cage for almost a year! You think they would be eager to get this bunny rescued, instead they said we had to wait a few days while the application was reviewed and the facility owner was back in the office. Try explaining that to a 4 and 6 year old. They also wanted to investigate where the rabbit would be kept, by doing a "home visit". The application was lengthy and I couldnt help but dwell on the fact that, while I do have a sprawling estate in North Claremont, if I lived in a shoe box I could give the bunny a better lifestyle than this place. Ironically, they are "against cages" and require that if you adopt, you don't keep the bunny in a cage (hmm, like the one it's been in for a year at the Bunny Bunch?) Very Strange place. I decided to just go to a pet store, with my upset children, who needless to say, didn't understand why it would take so much time. They should practice the philosophy they preach. I believe they must have some financial incentive to keep this place cooped up to capacity with rabbits. Maybe there is a sponsorship or some donation scheme involved. I've never seen an alledged rescue shelter so completely ambivalent to getting the animals rescued. Well if I can I would give this place a zero I wanted to adopt a bunny since I always loved them and I came here and decided to get one myself unfortunately that is where things went bad I answer a survey over 60 questions and afterward I was told that I would receive a phone call or text and it had been one week and I haven't got nothing worst organization ever plus they don't pick up the poop or pee that is on the floor it is nasty don't come here go buy a different animal don't waste your time or gas I have a job and a good place to stay and they don't even care about that!! read more

This place is riddled with problems. I was looking to adopt a chinchilla so I came here. I saw one and asked a lady if I was allowed to hold it. She said, "You don't want to. They bite" and walked away from my boyfriend and I. So, we pet him through the cage. We later found out neither staff dealt with chinchillas- and pretty much just didn't want to help us. We came back and adopted a chinchilla later without much fuss. But the process was an unorganized mess. Maybe it's better now. It was essentially the same price to get one at petsmart or Petco. But I wanted one that was older. We've had him for a year now with no problems but our dogs have cause some issues. Long story short he doesn't get out of the cage much anymore and it made me feel bad. Why should I horde this sweetheart when I KNOW there are others out there who could spend much more time with him? So. I tried calling. Nothing. Voicemail full. Texted the number in the voicemail. No response for days. Keep calling. No answer. I find a different number and get a response. It's the owner (the women with the accent everyone speaks of so fondly). I explain to her I want to put him back for adoption. It's a hard choice for me and she makes me feel like absolute GARBAGE about it. Like it's not already hard enough? "Why would you CHOOSE aggressive dogs?" ??? My dogs aren't aggressive and I never said that. But they're energetic and five times his size. Of course they could do some damage even if it is on accident. It only takes one accident to hurt the little guy. "Well you're required to bring him back here." Well that's fine and dandy I wasn't fighting it but maybe don't make people feel like crap about it. On top of that they couldn't promise the supplies I brought with him to go with his new owners. But the required I brought it all with him to avoid environment change stress. I get that the new owner might already have a cage- but then you just take my $250 cage as a donation? Sorry, I just don't feel that generous to you after all this. At the end of the day, I'm keeping my chinchilla for the sake of I don't want it going back to that bunny-pee filled room with no windows with staff that caters to rabbits. I still feel guilty because he doesn't get out as much- but I guess that's what the lady wanted after that phone call. read more

Absolutely amazing service! A girl named Sumaria helped my son and I. I adopted two guinea pigs from the shelter and don't know much about them. She was so informative and so helpful. I will now be coming here for all my supplies. Excellent customer service and they really care about animals. I have three dogs so this is a new animal to us. I am happy to know I can shop at a place that supports a local rescue. I am all about adopting from shelters and rescues only. Thank you again for all your help! I really like the bunny bunch because I kinda think of my bunny as my baby and so I am always looking for ways to make her happy and I love that the bunny bunch people are so knowledgeable and I can always go to them for advise. I am never pressured to buy things from them and they genuinely care for rabbits. I can go there whenever I need to get my bunny's nails trimmed for free and they know me and my bunny, Ihop. They are really great people and know so much about bunny care. I would totally suggest it for all your bunny care needs or just for general info. read more

Don't ever go there if you want to adopt. It's just straight a business entity. Adoption fee is competitive compare to Petco or Petsmart. It's a solely owned pet store (but called non-for-profit). These animals are like products. I thought the adoption fee would be around $20- $30 similar to the county animal center but no way! You gotta add $100-$150 if you want to adopt one or two chinchillas. It's ridiculous! Might as well just go to Petco. read more

If you're thinking about adopting a rabbit I'd seriously reconsider. They are extremely destructive creatures no matter how much I bunny proof my house I always find chewed up cords holes in my clothes and carpet. They love to tear up carpet ruin rugs. One of them even ruined my pergo floors. I find it very difficult to live in harmony with these animals. If you really want to adopt my advice to you would to volunteer a few hours a week at the bunny Bunch cleaning up their pens and then make your decision.
