Took a few trial & errors before I found my boys designated groomers! I couldn't be happier with the service here. If they find concerns during the process, I receive a text message asking if they may proceed or not. He comes out looking like a complete model . Definitely a groomers you can trust. I have had no issues. Would recommend!

They did a great job with my boy, he came in very bad from being on vacation, hair was clumped, thought it would take multiple hours but it was fast about 2 hours total. He came out looking great and very happy! It was my first time here, I'll definitely come back.

I first discovered Ironmaya through their Arcadia location, where I used to take my mom's dog. On a whim this past September, I decided to see if there was a location closer to me, and to my delight, I found their new spot. From the very first call/text with Michelle, everything was seamless and professional. They've taken incredible care of our 93-pound Goldendoodle, Maui. Not only do they listen to exactly what you want, but their attention to detail and quality of work is outstanding. Since Maui is a certified therapy dog who interacts with people often, it's important to us that he always looks his best- and Ironmaya delivers every time! One of the standout aspects of their service is how well they handle ear cleanings and plucking- they truly do the BEST job! A huge thank you to Michelle and the team at Ironmaya for consistently taking such great care of Maui and for being so accommodating. If you're looking for a groomer that provides exceptional service, look no further- I can't recommend Ironmaya enough!

Great experience here with Samantha and Michelle! I took in two of my dogs in for a non anesthetic teeth cleaning and haircut/trim/bath and they came out so nice and fluffy! So glad we took our anxious little dog here! They communicated with us every step of the way and were very patient with our nervous dog! They even called to let us know they had to modify her haircut and confirmed it was ok for them to do so! They really do genuinely care about your pet and the service they provide!!!

Update on my old post! I came in for Michelle and the communication went south! My puppy came out looking like a whole different dog! Instead of her fixing the issue she charged me more to fix the problem which STILL DIDNT'T FIX THE PROBLEM! Whoever comes here make sure you draw a picture! Because showing a pic of what you want is still not good enough!... I have 2 Shih tzus that won't be returning to this place...

When I brought Mika in the staff was so kind and helpful & made my pup feel right at home. The staff went over what to be expected with their grooming services & cost. I love this place! The only groomers that I can trust that will cut my dog's hair exactly the way we want it to be and will take great care of him throughout the process. Never thought he would trust the groomers again after having a bad experience but Ironmaya has changed his mind‍. He comes back happy and looking fresher than ever. Process to check in your pet is very simple. They do keep a record of your last visit so if you want the same cut next time just let them know. Parking is plentiful. Located in the corner of the plaza. 10/10 will recommend Michelle to all pet parents out there.

They did an awesome job on grooming my dog. She hasn't been groomed in awhile and she is an older dog. They took their time gave her breaks and on way home she was relaxed. The cut came out amazing and they explained to me everything they did and I felt they took great care of my dog. Highly recommend this place. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I thought this was a local groomer. They are not. They are a chain. My dog was dropped off happy and healthy and was picked up with both eyes bloodshot and a vein protruding from under his eye lid. Luckily our vet was able to see him asap after the grooming. The vet believes it was from excessive trauma. My other dog looked very stressed as well. The receptionist at the groomer implied I dropped off my dog with damaged eyes which is silly. I would never. We did get a call from their HR department but have NOT heard back since. We racked up 100's of dollars in vet bills. I don't know if that same groomer is still there. A good groomer should be able to identify stressed dogs and act accordingly. My poor dogs have been super stressed since the incident. This will likely take them time to recover from. read more

Taking our Murphy to Ironmaya was the bestest decision we've ever made. Everyone is welcoming. The waiting area is tidy and clean.The open floor plan allowed us to look in while Murphy is being groomed One thing we value the most is costumer service starting from the very friendly and professional front desk to the back. They make sure to correct the problem and note it down for future reference. Parking is not a problem. Tap to pay is available. Texting as a form of communication is also being practiced. I chose 3 stars because the interaction between myself and the person in front just felt disingenuous. This was my first visit keep that in mind. There was a dog in the front desk climbing on the desk table where the dog was friendly to people approaching the desk but the moment they had taken my dog to the back past the front desk that dog barked aggressively and lunged towards my dog and the only thing saving an incident was the dog was hooked on a leash to the wall. My dog tucked his tail and lunged away when this occurred. This happened both at drop off and pick up. Definitely will find another place. Plus my dog did have an accident which is fair can be frustrating but accidents happen and I felt there was a tone of irritation in the person's voice over the phone when notifying me. Grooming was subpar as well. read more

The staff is very helpful and provide so much value for their services. I have a medium size rottweiler mix and was concerned if he would adjust well to being groomed for the first time. Good communication but took 5 hours to groom our puppy. It was not even an actual cut but just a puppy cleanup. Waited to write this review until trying other groomers and our doodle was in and out in 2 hrs. The waiting process in between for pets is too long. read more

I have been looking for a good clean grooming salon to take my furry baby I've been taking her to petsmart their groomers are average-good, but the lengthy caging time is insane, between 7 to 8 hrs by the time she is ready for pick up she is already very ananxiously and stress. I'm so happy I found Ironmaya Pet Grooming, Ironmaya is by far the best and my only grooming salon to go to from now on, its very clean Michelle is very welcoming and pet friendly the groomer very precise to follow grooming instructions, the best plus +++ Daisy was very happy and relaxed when I picked her up after only 2 hrs. Such an amazing spot for your pet! I took my little Pomeranian here and was very impressed. The staff are wonderful and the services were top notch! My little guy's coat was extremely matted and unkept due to the previous owner, but came out of Ironmaya looking absolutely amazing. They truly care about your pet as well, which was a must for me. This grooming facility was very clean and well maintained. I was able to get same day appointment and they made sure my dog was rabies vaccinated! I really liked they had a "menu" to keep track of how I wanted her haircut. The whole process from booking to upon pick up was very organized. The groomer also didn't miss one of her back dew claw (this was always missed at other grooming places I've been to). I could just tell the groomer was very attentive. My dog came home smelling very nice and her paws are so soft! Hazyl will definitely see you guys next time! read more

We took our two year old pitbull female and three year-old corgi male for Grooming. The Female was pretty nervous going in, but did really well with the staff. The corgi was a little difficult, knowing how dramatic he can be, but the staff worked really well with him and gave him an amazing haircut with peach trim! Both dogs came out so fresh clean, smooth and smelling great! We are really happy with the quality and the affordability of this grooming service. We will definitely be bringing our dogs back regularly. read more

We've been going to that other "smart" store for over five years to have our dog's nails trimmed…read more Ever since, they've told us that we can just walk in and they will do the trim. The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. I think that's reasonable, fair enough AND smart! "Thanks, Good Dog!"

Original Review: This is the first time I've been to this location and decided to go here due to the large number of good reviews. They were able to fit my appointment in very last minute, less than 24hrs notice, super friendly staff, and lots of merchandise. Also great cut options avaliable for someone new, trying to figure out what a new groomer can do with a new client. Asked them to brush his teeth and grind his nails, to which they accomplished (at least his breath smells better). With that said, I was told they would contact me 20 minutes before he's ready for pickup, they did not. They messaged me when he was done. No big deal. When I picked him up, immediately noticed the uneven cut job. As we're driving home, noticed A BUNCH of dirt left in his coat. Makes me question if they bathed him, and if they did, they didnt do a good thorough job. Also started to notice the uneven cut throughout his body, from his stomach where they left bunches of fur, to his back, which seemed as though they used two sizes for razors. They cut him (most likely by accident) but just reinforces my suspicion that they rushed through his entire "grooming". For the $100 package, counting $15 for dental/nail grinding, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, will not be coming back. Sincerely disappointed :( I will have to bathe him again, give him a complete haircut, and finish areas they didnt even attempt too, such as the hair under his nose going into his mouth.

I brought my dog Bentley to Hair of the Dog after being referred by a friend when my regular groomer was temporarily unavailable. Bentley has been professionally groomed his entire life and never had to be shaved. He has been groomed consistently since he was 8 weeks old and, in the year and a half I've had him, he has never once been shaved down. From the moment I walked in, the experience felt off. The staff was rude and dismissive, and after I arrived, I was informed that Bentley had to be picked up by 1:00 p.m. because they were closing early that day. This was never disclosed when I booked the appointment. I specifically told them I was driving to Irvine and would have difficulty getting back that quickly. Frankly, if they had special hours that day, that should have been communicated before the appointment was accepted, not after I had already dropped my dog off. The groomer then told me Bentley was matted and needed to be shaved. We actually argued about. I explained that he had been groomed regularly his entire life and had never needed that before. Even so, I tried to compromise and told her that if some shaving was necessary, I absolutely did not want him shaved all the way down to the skin. About 20-30 minutes after I left, they called and said he was ready. Think about that. After insisting my dog was so matted that he needed to be shaved down, they somehow completed the entire groom in roughly 20-30 minutes. Because of the surprise pickup requirement they imposed, I wasn't even able to pick him up myself. I had to arrange for someone else to leave what they were doing and go get him because I was still in Irvine exactly where I told them I would be. When I finally saw Bentley, I was shocked and upset as was he for months. It definitely affected his demeanor he walked around depressed and seemed like a completely different dog. They had shaved him almost completely to the skin. It was nothing close to what I requested, nothing close to what I expected, and completely ignored the concerns I expressed beforehand. To make matters worse, his nails were not properly addressed, and within a couple of weeks I had to take him to the vet because of issues with his anal glands which they never even asked me about . Whether those issues should have been identified during grooming or not, it only added to my frustration with the overall quality of care. The worst part was feeling like no one listened. I trusted them with a dog that is a member of my family. Instead, I felt rushed, dismissed, pressured into a decision I wasn't comfortable with, and then ignored when I specifically asked them not to shave him down. Months later, his coat is still growing back but no where near what his beautiful coat was he has been growing since a baby I will never bring Bentley back, and I absolutely cannot recommend Hair of the Dog based on my experience. Steer clear of these mean people!!!!!

This will be the last time we will use this business as phone calls and email to talk to management yielded no response, so I guess they have enough clientele that loosing us will not be a big deal. As a pet owner of two lovely rescue dogs, finding a grooming spot that suits their needs and makes them comfortable can be quite a challenge. However, my visit to Ironmaya Pet Grooming on April 18th turned out to be a delightful surprise that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance of the place and the friendly staff made us feel welcome. Michelle, who manned the front desk, was exceptionally hospitable and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain all the procedures in detail, which immediately put me at ease. She highlighted the use of hypoallergenic shampoo which was perfect for my pups to avoid any skin irritations, considering their sensitive history. The true highlight for me was the viewing window that allowed me to watch Pumpkin and Prince as they were being groomed. This transparency was reassuring, and it was evident that the groomer was incredibly gentle with both of my dogs. It was amazing to see how well Pumpkin and Prince adapted to the environment and the grooming process; they seemed very calm and at ease, a testament to the groomer's adept handling and soothing demeanor. The bath and de-shedding services were thoroughly done. Both Pumpkin and Prince came out looking fluffy and vibrant, and the amount of fur removed was impressive. Not to mention, they smelled absolutely divine! It was clear that high-quality products were used, and the attention to detail in their grooming was evident. Overall, Ironmaya Pet Grooming delivered a stellar experience. The combination of skilled grooming, excellent customer service, and a caring environment made it a perfect choice for us. I highly recommend this grooming salon to any pet owner who wants a worry-free and comforting experience for their furry friends. I can't say enough great things about Michelle at Ironmaya Grooming! She has been grooming my dog, Casper, and every time we visit, she does an incredible job. Casper always comes out looking neat, tidy, and happy, with his coat perfectly trimmed and soft to the touch. One of the standout services Michelle offers is her non-anesthesia dental cleaning. Not only is it reasonably priced compared to other places, but it's also such a stress-free experience for Casper. His teeth are now sparkling clean, and I love that he doesn't have to go through anesthesia for it. It's clear Michelle really cares about the well-being of the animals she works with. I recently rescued a wonderful dog/furkid but sadly he had been abused and was fearful. In time, his has gained some confidence but I was hesitant to take him to be groomed. The staff at Ironmaya in Upland, were fabulous to him! I periodically peeked through the window and could see how gently they treated him.
