    New Jersey Italian Sausage

I ordered the New Jersey Italian Sausage, it was only $6.99 which is a really good price point for a food truck. The menu says it comes with charred jalapeños, the jalapeños were practically non existent. I could count maybe 2 entire slices. I love jalapeños, I was hoping it would be loaded with them like in the picture on their menu. Despite this I still really enjoyed the sausage, everything was cooked perfectly and the dogs are very flavorful. Definitely worth giving this place a try.

Everything about this was so good. I can't even find words. I was feeling overwhelmed and so cold already. The menu was easy to read. The environment was warm and friendly. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. 5 minute walk from work 10/10 will be back without a doubt. Best Philly cheesesteaks and Chicago dog we've had. But most of all giant shout out to the man who sacrificed his own comfort for mine and without question or doubt offered his heater for me. Only regret was I didn't catch his name but thank you so much

3.5 stars Twas hungry so I grabbed a quick and easy snack from this food cart which was conveniently located near our hotel. Everything from Buns On The Run is relatively cheap. For around $10 bucks, I got a Philly cheesesteak. The Philly cheesesteak comes with steak, grilled onions, bell peppers, jalapeños with melted Swiss cheese on a toasted pioneer roll. Was this the best version of this sandwich I've ever had? Definitely not, though I do suspect it had something to do with the toasted pioneer roll and lacked the girth of other Philly cheesesteaks. Despite all these minor quips, I did appreciate the addition of the jalapeños because it packed some heat into each bite. Well Downtown Portland is still in the process of recovery, so many of the renown food pods cease to exist anymore. Buns on the Run isn here for your sandwich needs.

This review is for their hot dogs only. I got two different hot dogs, all beef and their polish dog. I'd get both again anyday. What made it above average is the grilled hot dog bun, the hot dogs are cut down the middle and grilled and their grilled onions.

The best Philly cheese steak sandwich and chili fries I have had in a long time!! It was delicious and well seasoned! I highly recommend!

    Nachos

Came here with my boyfriend and ordered s nachos and a burger. The nachos were the nasties thing I've ever eaten. All the chips were STALE and He literally dumped crumbs into the container. I'm so annoyed. The burger was okay. Not great. Not delicious. Just okay. I could've saved my money. Save yours and don't eat here.

Philly Cheese Steak add lettuce and mayo-so damn good!

I ended up getting a delicious burger slider, but while we waited, we saw Hawthorne Asylum still open and decided to get a drink. We walked in and the decor was sooooo cool. The old plane parts. The lighting. The seating. I absolutely love it. We walked up to the bar and were greeted by a friendly bartender. I asked her for a couple recs between ciders so I got the drier one. They had heaters outside to sit and have our drinks and food. I'm just sad I couldn't spend longer there. Excited to go back!

All food trucks small stalls, serving only to go orders. Prices varied, some had decent prices, under $8 for appetizers and under $15 for main dishes, but some were also expensive. When we arrived at the location, we found street parking across the street. At the entrance there's a cafe store that is actually in a front quarter of a plane. There were plenty of sitting space with benches and table. At the back there was a bar as well, with all gender bathrooms adjacent to it. The location was popular with both tourists and local, as I saw many co-workers groups were out here for lunch. We got burgers and lobster rolls from two different truck. Food was good. Loved the sliders from Slide Hustle. But they take time to prepare the orders. We have to wait about 15 minutes to get our items. Despite the slowness I'd still recommend this for the food truck festival like experience.

It has a decent variety if you're taking a couple friends. We unfortunately came on an extra cool and rainy day. It's nice if you're snuggled up to a fire pit but the other tables not near fire are pretty chilly and you're probably going to get rained on. NOTE: There are NO BATHROOMS here. They have the Honey Buckets in the back corner which felt kinda gross with two food carts right next door. How exactly do they empty the Honey Buckets that close to food? Hmmm. No reason to let that impact the overall 5-star rating... maybe better planning next time? We'll likely go back if we're in the neighborhood. It was decent.

I can't believe I've never been to the market before and I don't know if it's always that busy. Once inside, there is a lot of space so it's not too crowded. There are loads of small local vendors then a food cart pod with a stage and music. It's like all the things you ever wanted in one place! We arrived late, around 9pm (mistake number one), and parking was extremely tough to find. After looping the area for a while, we finally snagged a spot a few blocks away. When we walked up, the line wrapped around the corner and stretched far back--and it moved slowly (mistake number two). There is a fast-pass option, which definitely seemed like the way to go if you don't want to wait forever. Once inside, I actually loved the concept of featuring local vendors--everything from small-batch alcohol and food to handmade clothing and earrings. The variety was impressive, and the atmosphere had potential. The bar area also offered cocktails, beer, etc., and wandering with a drink in hand was a nice touch. However, the crowding made it hard to enjoy. It was packed to the point where I couldn't really browse booths, and at times I had to skip ones entirely because there were simply too many people squeezed in. Outside, there were additional food vendors and a DJ tent, which offered a fun vibe and a place to eat or hang out. Bathrooms were available both upstairs and outside, which was helpful. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving early--not just because of the crowds, but because the air became smoky. We later realized someone had started a dumpster fire across the street, and the Portland Fire Department was putting it out. Overall, the night market is something worth trying at least once, but I'd recommend going right when it opens if you want a better chance at enjoying the vendors without the overwhelming crowds.

I could see it in my family's eyes -- if I made them stay, I might be eating that khao poon alone.
