A little neat almost eclectic type of burger place that I came across as I had a hankering for an actual burger and not fast food. I ordered the standard Z Bunz. The price point is where it got me as I was not really expecting to walk out paying nearly $20 for a regular old burger and fries that was nothing special. Delicious! This time around I had their award winning crab cake burger. Extra large crab cake covered with tartar sauce and on top of crunchy tortilla chips, lettuce, and tomato. Mmmmmm good. Loved the added crunch of tortilla chips with the burger. No skimp on crab either, there was plenty. Stopped by for a speedy lunch at Bunz near work. I went pretty early and there was no one else when I dined in. I was seated right away and my order was taken. Our server Kevin was awesome and attentive. I got the z bunz lettuce wrapped and it was very good. The lettuce they use to wrap it was large and made eating it easy. The meat was well seasoned and the sauce that came on it was really good. The dining area floor was kind of sticky. The music was way too loud and made having a conversation difficult without raising your voice. All in all I liked my meal but there's a few details that need ironing out. I was pleasantly surprised of how good everything was here. The service was excellent. They guys even brought out our food. I had the beach Bunz burger and a side of fries. The burger was big. This newly opened location for the Bunz Handcrafted Burger restaurant chain is, in a word, excellent. They're still getting over a few teething problems with the register (it took a bit of plastic-wrangling to accept my card) but otherwise they're running smoothly! Ordered the regular Z Bunz (regular 7oz hamburger with toppings and cheese) and the Bunzai, which is the burger topped with chipotle mayo and shreds of BBQ Asian Pork Ribs. Both hamburgers were primo: done medium (a little pink at the center), great beefy flavor, the pork rib bits were delish. Of special note is that the buns are super fresh and were toasted perfectly to give a little 'crunch' to each bite. And don't get me started on the fries...wow, these little curvy things were half-chip, half steak fry, which is amazing in my book! Definitely coming back, highly recommended. I went to Bunz for the first time on a recommendation from another friend who manages their own restaurant. When i went in i was unsure what to order. The young lady at the front was very professional and kind. She took the time to recommend what she felt would be good for my first time. I took her advice and got the Ocean Bunz which was her favorite. The ocean Bunz was amazing it has a perfect balance of flavor. The french fries were also delicious. I regretted that decision. The customer service was lacking because it took twenty seven minutes to get my food. The manager did give me free drink to make up for the long wait. The food was lacking flavor in my opinion. They need to season the meat better. Both the burger and the chicken sandwich were just okay at best. They charge too much for the quality of food you get. The fries were good and I do think that they are uniquely shaped. I gave them two opportunities to impress me and they just can't. So on Tuesday they have a seven dollar any burger special after 4 pm and I happen to arrive 10 minutes before the 4 o'clock special mark so I over paid but everything was delicious. Fries were plentiful and you can even air fry them later whatever you don't finish. Absolutely love this place. Have come in a handful of times now and enjoy it every time. My mom was recently visiting and loved it so much she wanted to return to enjoy their burgers and fries one more time before heading home. We are big foodies and feel the quality here is excellent and very affordable which is hard to come by these days. As someone with a newborn and a toddler their drive thru is also very convenient and always fairly quick. Wow. The Beach Bunz (Crab Cake Burger) was extraordinary. It was made with real crab in a hefty well-seasoned patty. The bun tasted super fresh. Their French fries may be my new favorite. The burger was HUGE, but the flavor was nothing to write home about. The habanero cheese sticks weren't spicy in the slightest, guess the habanero took its PTO on this batch. The flavor was oddly reminiscent of a cheez-it cracker, not bad but not what I was expecting. The onion rings were more like chopped up slices, nary a ring was seen on these. Don't bother me tho it all goes down the same, maybe it was just my batch, if not they should consider a name change to onion nuggets or something... nvm that doesn't sound appetizing at all. My favorite sauce was the one that was kind of like a sweet chili, it was good on everything, not sure what it was called since it was complimentary. Definitely would get a pint of these if I go back. All in all the flavors are decent and portion sizes were big, you will definitely be full. They only have Pepsi products here, and if you order water, you have to walk all the way to the other side of the restaurant and get a tiny cup yourself. We shared it with my daughter she even enjoyed it. I ordered the mush Bunz it was yummy and has a big mushroom in the middle. I recommend! I also ordered the habanero cheese sticks. While the food is tasty, the ambiance and service was mediocre. We were buying individual items and the person taking our order offered the upgrade to a combo to include the soda which we accepted. However their soda machine was out... and they didn't have a tea prepared! We were offered ONE shake considering we bought 3 combos when questioned why one shake vs 3 I was told because the value of the shake is $6 so it was equivalent to 3 sodas. As a paying and tipping customer that is not exactly the ideal response. Bottom line don't advertise a combo if all menu items are not readily available. read more
