Would recommend! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because they gave us only a 12oz cup of soda in a clear cup. Service was slow, facility was hot and we had to clean our own table. Had the nerve to ask for a tip starting at 22%. Nobody brought food, nobody cleaned the table, we had to clean our table. Move out of the way Chris Madrid's! The burger here is over the top delicious. There are so many options for toppings everyone should be happy. This is the best burger I've had anywhere in San Antonio. They offer a nice variety of appetizers, too. The burger is huge and the bun is not your typical bun. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars but not only do they ask for a tip when using (electronically) signing your debit card there was a tip jar by the register. First time visitor today, the restaurant was not too busy but tables and floors visibly dirty. I overlooked that fact, maybe they just finished a rush. My husband's burger was delivered to the table but my daughter's meal and my burger were not. We had to go up to the counter to ask about the rest of our order. It took over 40 minutes from the time we placed our order for all of our food to arrive. I received the wrong burger but had waited so long, I didn't complain. Staff was not very welcoming or helpful. Meat patties didn't have a lot of flavor. My daughter's little chicken sandwich tasted old. I don't think I will visit again. I was really excited and had great hopes for this place. We arrived and the staff was great. Very friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food and it was served quickly. I wasn't excited about the burgers. They were so salty and the flavor combinations weren't cohesive to me. We got the Mush Bunz and the Cow Bunz. The fries were great. Onion rings weren't actually rings but more like pieces. Which is fine. The breading was too thick for my taste and overly salty. Because of the thick breading it also made them very greasy. This is an update from my 3 star review. I was able to try Bunz today and let me say, the burger was delicious. The service was great and the food was served promptly w/ a 5 min wait. This is a gourmet burger in a fast food setting so expect to pay $10 for a regular thick gourmet chuck burger not including fries. Two burgers and fries came up to $30. For this price, I would prefer a step up ambulance than a fast food environment. I definitely will return and try other gourmet burgers on their menu. read more

It is a nice clean place and the people at the counter were very nice and helpful. She wanted the grilled chicken again but they said it was not available - only fried chicken. They were also out of the crab cake sandwich. She settled for a cheese burger. I tried the Cheek burger. On both burgers the bun was good but the meat was dry and grey. It lacked any sear on the outside or juiciness on the inside. She did not like the Z sauce (whatever that is that came on it). I liked the cheese and grilled onion on mine but the bacon seemed like pre-cooked kind and did not look like the pictures on Yelp. Our two burgers (came with small fries which were good) and I ordered a fountain drink - $37 with a small tip. Food was not bad but not outstanding and certainly not worth that much. I'd say it's a little pricey for a burg but everything is pricey these days so really can't hold them to that (you'd be paying the same at Whata so why not get a niche small biz burger for once yeah?).
