Fried chicken salad is always good but overall they made the salad containers smaller. I don't know why I get the fries, they always seem overcooked. The hamburgers are surprisingly very good. Better than the fast food competitors in the area. Beefs are ok. Johnnys in Arlington Heights and Mr. Beef in Mt Prospect. Mainly because there are more spices. I haven't been inside recently. But when I have they always are cleaning the tables. Although the bathroom is another story. But because they are nearby, have ease to order online so I'm not waiting, and somewhat better food than the locals, we order from them. read more

We love Buona and recently moved to Schaumburg. The Hoffman Estates Buona lives up to our high expectations. We've never been disappointed at any Buona. $6 any pizza is a favorite(thurs special), and no upcharge for gluten/free on ThursI always order the buffalo ranch chicken GF pizza , even though it's no longer on the menu, they will still make it. Consistently good food and friendly service. Best combo beef & sausage around. Get it baptized with provolone cheese, sweet & hot peppers. Fries always good too! When we first moved-in the area, we saw this restaurant was curious. We immediately took a liking to the interior decor, from the choice of pictures on the wall to the set-up of their tables. It seemed classy for the type of eatery, but it was affordable. Plus, the serve they bring the food to you after you order from the counter. I go there at least couple times per month for lunches because it's one of the few places that are located within a couple minutes away from my office. And almost every other time when I order food from them something goes wrong. I wouldn't write this review if it was just one time issue, but talking to their manager and seeing that nothing was done makes me unhappy. So, here is some stories: two times in a raw my order came without French fries, when it happened first time I mentioned it the guy who brought our food and he never got back with the rest of my order, so talked to the manager and he gave me my money back for the fries. Second time when it happened, it took them like 10 min to get me the fries. Just last week I ordered their BLT sandwich which supposed to be served with avocado, it wasn't there. If I ask for something extra like mustard, every other time I don't get it or I would have to go to the cashier and ask them for mustard. Last week, i went to get some napkins at the station where they keep all silverware and there was none left, so I asked of the guys if he can get some napkins into that station, the guy said that its not his job and left off without saying anything else. So, I went to another station to get napkins and a few minutes after that I saw someone from Bona filling up the station with napkins. Bottom line is, the food is good but service ..... read more

I've been to Buona several times in the past & have enjoyed myself each time. It's not on my top 5 list of go-to places for some grub but it hasn't disappointed yet. I was in the area & was on my way to Garibaldi's but decided against it as soon as I saw Buona. Their menu is very extensive & has something for everyone so it took a minute to figure out what I wanted, but I went with an angus cheeseburger with fries. Surprisingly, they don't have any meal deals, I swore they used to but now everything is a la carte so you need to order everything separately. When I ordered a cup of water, I was given the largest free water cup ever, must've been at least 12oz, so bonus points for that. The burger tasted a lot better than the last time I had one, which was more than a year ago, but the fries could've been hotter. My previous visit, I had the Quattro Formaggi pizza & it was one of the best personal pizza's I've ever had, so fresh, so good & so much to eat, just go already! read more

I always enjoy eating at Buona Beef. There's a good variey of items on the menu and I haven't come close to trying them all, but what I've had have been quite good. The Italian Beef is good. Different than Portillo's, but just as good, although not quite as good as Galto's. I also like their "Italiano" sandwich. What I really like here is their Angus beef hamburger. I think I'm going to step out on a limb and say it's my favorite hamburger in the area. read more

Food is decent but inconsistent. Regular customer, but the amount of meat on the beef varies a lot. When you order add-ons like sweet peppers or cheese, it's instead on meat instead of in addition to. Local taxes are outrageous (not their fault). Too crowded around the drink machine, due to table crowding. Staff is very friendly. Coupons and local businesses get a discount that makes it reasonably prices, but without that the prices are higher than competitors. Would be worlds better if they just provided consistent pricing instead of overcharging every other person. Despite that I go once a week, I don't get the discount that I would if I showed a employee badge from Allstate or Sears. Not exactly friendly to us small biz workers. read more

Very good. Meatball sandwich, beef sandwich, chicago hot dog and bacon BBQ hot dog are my favorites on the menu. Never had an issue here with the drive-thru even when it is busy it moves along at a decent speed.
