Went for a family dinner. Located in a strip center - clean but small interior, wonderful service. We arrived around 8 and were rushed into ordering hurried out toward the end as the restaurant closes at 9 PM - just factor that into your plans. The menu was extensive - food arrived promptly and seemed freshly made. Ordered Taste of Thai platter as appetizer (spring rolls, fried rolls, crab meat fritters, shrimp, etc.) - good start to the entrees age easily fed the 7 of us. Mains/Entrees easily accommodated the vegetarians/vegans among us and consisted of Thai Tofu Panang and Red Curries, Thai Basil and Chicken Fried Rice orders, Vegan Spicy Noodles, Chicken Pad Thai, etc. Portions were plentiful, however the Curries lacked depth and flavor. Spice levels were customized from mild to fresh chopped Thai chilis on the side. Dessert was Mango Sticky Rice - nice and not too sweet. Overall, a satisfactory experience, although not something to be amazed about. Again, flavors were too muted - a pity, really. Staff were very friendly and solicitous. The entire meal for 7 persons (no drinks, but with taxes and generous tip) cost approximately $170 - quite reasonable in this day and age. read more

Everything was top notch. Appetizers super crunchy, but not oily at all. The crab Rangoon was maybe the best I've ever had very nice filling. Our server was super competent and made all of the alterations we asked for perfectly provide provided a lot of information. The Thai iced tea was really great not super sweet like it sometimes is at other places. The entrées were really enjoyed by both of us. I had extra to take home to the wife. I got Lad Nar which is a wide noodle rice noodle, and a broth super delicious with shrimp, beef, and chicken, also had the lamb shank Mooseman curry. Just excellent. Brought home the leftovers to the wife and we ate dinner again tonight. Remarkable how everything was so good. Can't wait to go back. I hadn't been here in probably two decades cause I don't live in the area anymore, but we'll definitely come back sooner. read more

Excellent and full of flavor. The egg rolls were so good I was tempted to order another one. Came here on a Thursday evening and the place was pretty empty. There were four of us. I ordered the Tom yum- chicken and it was good. It was flavorful and tasty. The fish cakes came next and unfortunately I found them to be a bit underwhelming in flavor. For my entree I had shrimp pad Thai. It was kind of disappointing actually. It really lacked any seasoning and the amount of shrimp in the dish was meh. Overall, food came out quickly and at just the right temperature. What's more fabulous than take out Taste of Thai food? Finding free food and a thank you with your order! This last order we found a bag with baby egg rolls and the words "thank you" written on it. We have always been a fan of this place even back to the previous owners and the food is fresh and full of flavor. I love that they will accommodate your tastes, from mild to spicy, depending on your dish. My latest favorite is the papaya salad and I also like the pad-siew with shrimp or chicken. Their chicken satay is the best tasting and biggest portion I've had from a restaurant. And I love the cucumber salad that accompanies this appetizer. Best Thai place around, was looking for a really good Thai place and was annoyed when I couldn't find one. Finally decided to try Taste of Thai and my husband and I were realllllyy impressed. It's a pretty small place and it was pretty empty inside but our server was super sweet, took all my request and gave us excellent fast service! (Sunday late lunch) We ordered papaya salad, tom yum soup (shrimp) and pad Thai (shrimp) all extra spicy. I loved the sweet lime flavor in the papaya salad, the tom yum soup was thicker than most I've had but had really good flavor with mushrooms and shrimp and the pad Thai... thank you, finally good pad Thai! I've paid almost double the price at other "nicer" restaurants but didn't have the authentic Thai flavor. super kind staff and decent place for thai food in the burbs! we ordered the satay pork, papaya salad, tom yum soup, and pad thai. they also gave us a free order of egg rolls! i really enjoyed the tom yum soup, it was my favorite dish and it was the best out of all the restaurants i've been at. i thought the pad thai was a bit too saucy for me but the portions were humongous! i would come back again for the friendly staff, large portions, and decent prices. we paid around $45~ for everything excluding tip. read more

Well Thai food has always been my favorite of the Asian dishes and I never had for the most part any disappointment in any of the Thai restaurants in Chicago and the suburbs. I usually go to Dan Tha in Schaumburg but I came from an event for aquarium keeping and they said this one was the closest one and this is my first time coming here.so far it is very delicious. The Thai iced tea here has a stronger sweet kick than most Thai restaurants I've been to but this was one of the better ones I experienced. The chicken Tom kha soup was good although I wish they could add a little lemongrass but I've experienced some Thai restaurants that don't add lemon grass in their Tom kha or Tom yum soup. I was going to order traditional satay but saw the chef's special for golden shrimp which was a meh ok. I was expecting it was going to be battered a certain way since I asked but was not quite what I had in mind or what I was imagining that they were going to deliver. It was a dry noodles wrapped around the shrimp. It wasn't bad tasting as the shrimp was cooked well and they give you a big amount however to garnish or try to wrap dry noodles was a bit of a mess to eat for an appetizer. As usual which I should break away I ordered the red curry. That variations of extra meat to order it it was between duck and scallops but the scallops they told me they use were the base scallops which are the small scallops which I made the decision of ordering duck which was a good decision. Well, gave this another try. Soup came out and was not hot. While eating the soup, appetizers came. While still eating the soup, our entrées came. I mentioned to the server that we haven't even finished our soup yet and you are bringing our entrées? Her reply was, it's a package and it all comes out at once. What? That didn't happen to other tables that ordered lunch specials. Two tables away from us their food was so hot you could SEE the steam coming off it. Please, don't try and insult me by saying all of the food comes out at once because it's a PACKAGE and is not even hot. if this restaurant was a tall, beautiful woman, i would gladly let her beat the crap out of me and then I'D apologize. I'm literally addicted to their food, in particular the Panang Curry, Tom Yum Soup, and their Sticky Rice! BUT BEWARE they don't play around with the spice levels! You ask for spicy, you get SPICY. I also have celiacs disease (can't have gluten) and struggle sometimes to find places to eat out, but the staff is always very helpful! There we're plenty of diet and allergy accommodations, and I've yet to feel bad after eating here :) 10/10 recommend read more

I usually am not a big fan of Thai food because I find it to be a bit too spicy and sour and flavorful for my taste... but surprisingly, I really liked the food here! I don't know if my palate has changed, or if my taste buds were off because I am a bit sick, but I really enjoyed all the food here. The tom yum soup with chicken wasn't too spicy (in fact, I felt it was hardly spicy at all). The crazy noodles were really hyped up on Yelp, so I ordered them... but with some trepidation because the photo and description in the menu honestly didn't look that appealing... BUT THEY WERE FREAKIN' DELICIOUS!!! I ordered it with chicken, and it came on a ginormous platter with huge pieces of chicken amidst lots of thick wide rice noodles. I loved the flavor of the dish, and the heat was enough where I could feel my mouth tingling, but it was still tolerable.
