I had to get a CT Scan for the first time, and Burbank Advanced Imaging was one of the more convenient locations. Since I'm not familiar with this kind of thing, this was supposed to be a scan 'with contrast dye' which meant I was supposed to have some sort of 'ink' injected so the reading would be more clear. Well, I went to lay down in the donut-shaped machine, and no injection was ever given, so I had no idea what was really going on. The tech quite frankly could have been friendlier or just friendly in general (South Asian male). The automated voice that directed me was more helpful than he was. The one standout was the receptionist by the name of London; she answered my questions best that she could and was all-around pleasant. When I inquired about why there was no 'contrast dye', she said my doctor forgot to send me for blood work, so therefore, no dye. Obviously, this is not something I would know about but results came back fine. Unfortunately, as health care rates can be a surprise in this country, I also was hit with an EOB of $700+. If I had to return, I would be happy to see London, but would ask if I could somehow get another tech since this one I had could use some improvement. read more

I was told to be at this office one HOUR before my appointment. Since I was having a CT scan with infusion, I thought it was to get an IV inserted. NOPE.....it was simply for their convenience. If another patient doesn't show up then they can start your case sooner. Unfortunately for me, everyone showed up that day. I waited 90 minutes for a 15 min procedure!!! The front desk staff were nice. The CT tech was able to start my IV easily. The CT tech showed absolutely ZERO empathy as he went about his duties. He barely talked to me. Wow, I read these reviews while sitting in the waiting room and nearly panicked. This place is super convenient and easy to make an appointment. It's just beat. Needs a massive renovation. I needed a CT Scan with contrast. They got me in within 24hours and like below, told me to come 1 hour before my appointment. Turns out I did not need to do that. The dye was injected through an IV just before I went into the machine. The receptionist was very pleasant. The tech, MD, was fine. He's not friendly or talkative but he seemed to know what he was doing. If my results come back and I don't have to repeat the test then I'd give it 4 stars. (3 stars might be generous). read more

Before I even went to my appointment I got a message saying that they would need to reschedule me on WEDNESDAY but then after that message I get another saying they don't need to reschedule. I went to my appointment today. I get there at 7:16ish cause i had to arrive 1 hour before my appt. My appointment was scheduled for 8:35. I check in sit down a few minutes later the receptionist gave me two cups of water with something inside for my exam. It was 8:40 when i asked how much longer cause they were already rescheduling people and other people were getting called back. They said to give them 10mins due to the radiologist not being there yet. By 9 I get told that they aren't coming. What a wasteful morning. That radiologist needs to get fired. read more

Easy to locate and plenty of street parking or in parking lot. Patient receives text to schedule appt. App is not user friendly and not able to reschedule appts.. Scheduled my MRI for Sunday the night before realized I had to work so I needed to reschedule. Called throughout the day Saturday just kept getting vm so I showed up asking to reschedule. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and rescheduled my appt.. I had my grandbabies with me & they gave them stickers. Thank you. My appt was for Wednesday@ 830 pm and another arose concerning my eyesight. I have trouble seeing at night and I checked in at 630 pm. Praying I can be seen so I am not out too late trying to get home safely. Within 10 minutes I was called and had my MRI. From front desk to the technician were attentive and extremely friendly. I want to preface this review by saying that I think it's a privilege to have kind and polite front office staff these days. They're usually there just to help move the process along so any extra warmth and politeness is truly a bonus. That said, Valeria was incredibly thorough in helping me with my check in with London assisting as well. Both were welcoming before I was even seen and their attentiveness really stood out. Once inside Leslie was the one who got me set up she was especially attentive and kind throughout. All in all this place was fast and efficient but what I appreciated most was how well they handled my anxiety. It made a real difference. If I ever need these services again it's people like Valeria, London and Leslie that would bring me back to this specific location. read more

The worst front desk situation I have seen in a long time. The line was long and the person dealing with clients was training a new person. An 8 15 am session is a poor choice when it seems to be a very busy time to let elderly or disabled people stand for a long time. I stood in front of the desk for 1/2 hour and waited. The line grew. I waited. Finally someone else came in and took me. It was over in 5 minutes. The MRI staff was a whole different experience. They were efficient and friendly, especially Manuel. No complaints. I'm a bit puzzled after reading some of the reviews so I want to add my experience. I have been to Burbank Advanced Imaging twice in the past month for ultrasounds. The first time, I made arrangements on the phone using their toll free number. The second time I scheduled online. Both methods were fine though I felt the online scheduling was easier. The front office staff had different people on my two visits, possibly because one visit was on a weekend and the other on a weekday but everyone was friendly and efficient. I also had two different ultrasound technicians on the different visits but each one was friendly, professional and kind. Both appointments also started right on time. So I have only positive things to say about my two experiences. I would go here again. read more

I am in need of imaging to be done on the top knuckle of one of my middle fingers. This is very important to remember later on down this review. Both this facility and the company that identifies as RANDET are so horrible, I would not even reward them with a grade of F or zero stars. What a terrible operation this Imaging Specialists of Pasadena is. First and foremost the telephone booking process was a nightmare, took forever, and the schedulers don't listen to a word the patient says, read from a script, and are extremely pedantic. Initially, I went to another RADNET provider in Burbank.. Advanced Imaging Systems. The facility was sketchy and rundown. The attending technician was a very noisome personality, a young overbearing woman who catastrophized everything in her description of the procedure right down to telling me I would go permanently deaf if I didn't wear the ear plugs she was offering me. Then she wanted me to lock my personal belongings in a combination locker that was several rooms away from where the MRI was being conducted but only after TWICE asserting that she had the master code. I was not about to submit to this in a sparsely staffed facility at 9.00 in the evening. The place was dirty... really dirty. I got willies from the technician from the word go. I was NOT going to leave my personal affects in a dirty locker half way across the facility that could be opened at any time during my procedure. I was so uncomfortable I left before starting the procedure. Fast forward one week. I rescheduled and moved my appointment to this RADNET operation, Pasadena Imgaing Specialists, and had a friend come with me this time to hold my stuff. The physical plant is somewhat better but not by much. Still old, threadbare, worn down, and a little bit smelly. In fact, they sheets on the MRI bed smelled like rancid cologne from the previous patient. It was gross. The first attending technician summoned me to wait in a tiny little dressing room for almost ten minutes, despite leaving my keys and phone with the friend who drove me. I was not about to sit in there, I waited in the hallway quietly questioning why they called me in from the waiting room so early. Her bedside manner was terrible. She was a palpably stressed out overweight Gen Z with the social skills of a short-bus bully. I was not terribly fond of her but she was the hostess with the mostess compared to the technician in the MRI room who was yanking and pulling me around this way and that, had no idea what support pillow to put under where, and had the phyiscal patient handling skills of a baboon. I felt very badly handled and I didnt like it one damn bit. I have tendon dislocation in the tip of my middle finger, so you can imagine my surprise when they started to roll me all the way inside a tightly fitting sarcophogas. THE INJURY IS ON THE TIP OF MY FINGER, NOT MY ORGAN CAVITY OR SHOULDER OR HIP ETC... I thought they were just going to roll my arm in and the rest of me could stay outside. I saw no good reason why my entire 6 foot 175 pound person should be rolled deep inside that tube for a finger tip injury. When I voiced surprise about this, the other fat slovenly technician lost her temper with me and loudly snapped "DO YOU WANT THE PROCEDURE OR NOT?" With this kind of repeatedly poor treatment by three out of three technicans at two separate RADNET facilities I extremely quickly and with 100 percent resoluteness said "No I don't" and swiftly walked out to the lobby, collected my friend and got the hell out of there. To be fair, both front desk receptionists in both facilities were very nice but ALL of the evening technicians I had exposure to in both Burbank and Pasadena were horrid to the tenth power with awful personalities. My entire experience these at these two locations and RADNET in general has been apalling. UPDATE: Scheduled an OPEN MRI at RADNET in Huntington Park. On my third attempt to get my needed medical procedure on the tip of my finger, it was FINALLY a success. RADNET needs to train the appointment line staff a whole hell of a lot better than they do. I should have been offerred an OPEN MRI for this injury in the first place. read more

This is an update from my August 12 review where "Steve" at Burbank Advanced Imaging said in a private message he requested that the manager contact me after leaving a message for the manager about my review. As predictable as clockwork, a week after getting that message from Steve, I've heard zero, nada, zilch from the manager (or Steve). I didn't even get a smoke signal. These people at the imaging center could care less about the customers. All they care about is your insurance payment, that's it. And if you have a problem with their rude, obnixous staff they give you a certain finger which explains why the staff is obnoxious and rude. Staff knows nothing will happen. Just go elsewhere, this place is awful. And if you go there expect to be treated like crap by both staff and management. Don't say you have not been warned. read more

On January 22,2025 I had a CT done at this facility. They charged upfront for my deductible and since then their billing department has failed to submit claim or necessary papers to my insurance company. This is not a fair billing practice for a contracted provider and I will go forward to file a grievance for the fraudulent activity. I really hope that their professional services are not on the same level as their billing. Strongly recommend not to use this facility. read more

Normally, I don't write many reviews. I find it helpful maybe to make appointments on the weekends. Less crowd and front desk and techs are much more relaxed to give you already a stressful MRI/Scan more relaxing. I found the front desk ladies extremely accommodating and professional. They greeted me with a smile. My MRI tech Manual was AMAZING! I've had several MRIs and by far this is a touch above the rest. He kept me calm for over an hour. He took care of me and did his job compassionately and professionally. Stay health and blessed. read more

The worst place ever! When I showed up for my "Appointment," one of the people in the front asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, and then they asked for my ID (strange, but okay). Then she proceeded to tell me that I was in the wrong place. She said, disrespectfully, that I was supposed to be at another location, as if it were my fault that I was in the wrong place. I mentioned that this was the address that was on my authorization form. Apparently, they double-booked the time slot and just decided to send me somewhere else. She said she would massage the other spot and tell them I was coming. I said, "No thanks, my appointment is here." She said she could not have me there. From now on, I will call ahead and double-check my appointments. And here's a tip for the lovely person working at the front desk: if you don't like your job, do something else. Attitude much? The appointment making procedure by phone is faulty. I received a call from Radnet to schedule a MRI appointment. I had not yet received the paper referral from my doctor's office. The Radnet appointment representative asked me if I knew if the MRI was with or without dye. I said I didn't know. The rep put me on hold to call my doctor's office to check. He came back with no dye required and I made an appointment. The next day I received the paperwork and it stated dye was required. I tried to call 3 times to update the appointment. Each time the system did not allow me to stay on hold. The only choice is to leave your number and wait for a callback then the system disconnects. Over the week prior I never received a callback. I don't think anyone listens to the messages. I went to the appointment and sure enough the appointment had been made without dye. No doctor was on site as it was Saturday. I had to reschedule. So my time was not valued in the investment of my time in making the original appointment, calling 3 times to correct their error and traveling to appointment only to not receive the prescribed service and having to reschedule and again travel to obtain the correct test. The desk staff was great and apologized numerous times although the mistake was not their doing. FIX THE APPOINTMENT/ PHONE SYSTEM!!!! read more

I called ahead and when I made my appt asked Very specifically if their machine would work for my needs (i weigh 350 and i stressed this when i made the appointment) and explained my needs and was assured it would be fine and they scheduled me. After waiting for an hour they come to the lobby and tell me in the lobby in front of others that their machine won't work for me because I weigh too much. I knew going into this that not all machines work for my size, it's why I asked. I have a bone tumor 2 brain tumors & a sinus tumor. That I have MRI's & CT's done for on a very regular basis. I went to get a CT scan in the evening , my appointment was for 7:25, I wasnt seen till 8 , that was fine and the front desk women was nice. However I was told I would have the results the next day, it was a rush order for a ct scan of my brain. The women I spoke to , on May 13 th around 2:15, was the most angry, sad , rude person I have spoken to in awhile . I am waiting to find out if I have a brain tumor. this women, was annoyed at me becuase I was confused why they said they sent my doctor the images 3 times but my doctor said they didnt get it. Than she proceeded to tell a different story and I said Im confused , you just said you have sent them and than you said you havent. She got an extreme attitude with me and shouted I sent it again and I dont know what else to tell you. I proceeded to say "Im sorry your having such a bad day, and she hung up on me. To hang up and be rude to anyone in the first place is unprofessional and also when someone is awaiting news about a tumor you would think they would be kinder. If I had gotten her name I would have called her manager . So if the manger see this , you can see the scheduale for may 13th aroudn 2:15 pm. Just awful person, people can have a bad day , I get it , but she was rude and was lying or didnt knw what she was talking about. read more

THIS LOCATION IS MANAGED BY RADNET To try and sum things up the schedulers are in a separate location and manage all appointments for multiple locations. They are unaware of what locations do what AND so is the staff at these locations. Both parties are giving out incorrect info. BEWARE AND DOUBLE, TRIPLE CHECK YOUR NEEDS BEFORE ARRIVING HERE. The scheduler made an error and the office called me the day before our appointment and asked to come in two hours earlier. All because the scheduler booked her for the wrong type of MRI. During this conversation I mentioned she also needed X-rays and if I could schedule her for that as well and was told no appointment necessary I could do it before or after the MRI. Ok, so even though they were NOT flexible with time and we had to reschedule appointments in order to accommodate their mistake stuff happens, I got over. On the day of the MRI appointment I came in early to get her X-rays done only to find out they were wrong yet again! This particular location no longer does X Rays and hasn't for two years! By the time I arrived I was not able to schedule an X-ray or drive to another location because apparently all locations stop doing X-rays by 3:30pm. No one told me this. The front desk person wouldn't even schedule an appointment at a different location for me. She was unhelpful and told me to do it online. I tried to schedule an X-ray while waiting for MRI and was unsuccessful online as I needed a special code to enter their portal. Seriously?! As I sat and typed this review a gentleman walked in. He spoke to another front desk person and had the same X-ray predicament. She said, "no problem let's book you an appointment for another location". Was it just my luck I was checked in by someone who was having a bad day? I jumped back in line to speak with the helpful person and yes, she saved the day and booked us an appointment for an X-ray at another location on another day. Not ideal but nonetheless helpful. Jeez! Why does RADNET have to be so difficult? FRONT DESK PEOPLE take lessons from the single person there who did her job well. Just do your job and do it well! This was my first time here. It was chosen by my insurance company to get some scans done for something. I entered through the back because I was in the handicap space. A very nice gentleman let me in and I later figured it out that he was actually the guy who was doing my exam. The one thing that drove me crazy was the waiting period. There wasn't many people waiting, and I stood in a line that I thought I was supposed to be standing in. After a person left I stood in line waiting for somebody to call me. I did not notice that there is extra people behind the desk from my point of view , but I was waiting for more than 15 minutes before somebody else in line mentioned that I was standing there waiting for somebody. They then finally called me over. The lady was very nice, but I was a bit annoyed that nobody bothered at all to try to help me. Especially one employee who kept looking up at me and I thought she was gonna call me, but she didn't bother to help me or ask if I was checked in. The rest of my visit went very smoothly. The tech was very nice. And because I am handicapped, he was even helping me during the exam, and I really appreciated it. I do wish they had more seating. I was able to finally sit down, but being ADA, it wasn't very helpful to not have a lot of places to sit. read more

This center should be shut down and offers service that is way below the standard of care. I had a CT Scan done on 7/12/24 and I didn't receive my results until 8/8/24! This was after literally calling and speaking to multiple supervisors daily to have them get a radiologist to read my scan. I wouldn't waist my time here. We arrived early and was told thy didn't have the right paper work so they said they would call then after 5 minutes told my husband there is nothing they can do. He called got right through gave the lady the fax number and luckily his email because when we went back in and told the lady said that's not there fax number. Very dirty and dated waiting room with no fresh air and no air conditioning. Extremely rude and inconsiderate front desk staff who were too busy gossiping and flirting with maintenance workers to help patients. Was asked to arrive 20 minutes early, which I thought would be to prep for the MRI - no, it's to complete 5 mins of paperwork. Waited another 30 minutes before I was finally taken back for the MRI. That's when you realize the staff has plenty of cool air conditioning while the patients in the waiting room are ready to pass out! My only complaint would be trying to make an appointment. Their appointment system is so complicated! I'm only giving Burbank Advanced Imaging two stars as their offices were nice, the staff professional, and they kept to the scheduled appointment time. Where they failed in a MAJOR way is with their insurance billing. To say I was shocked when they sent me a bill for $502 is an understatement. Their breakdown was as follows: Insurance is billed $1180 for a shoulder MRI without contrast. Insurance pays $677, which includes my $100 co-pay. I'm sent a bill for the remaining $502 The first issue is billing me for the remaining $502 when everyone knows all medical places inflate the cost for insurance purposes. The cash price at almost every MRI company for what I had done is less than $500, with some places being less than $500. BUT the biggest fail is how they bill. They bill insurance with a service address of Cotner Ave in Los Angeles, which happens to be their corporate office. So insurance then processes this as out of network resulting in you receiving a large bill. For the fix, you have to first speak to your insurance and then call their customer service number, asking that they reprocess the claim with the actual "Service Address" of where they did the MRI. Seem pretty common sense, and you would think they would know this by now, but I guess not. Since I've spent a couple of hours on multiple phone calls, I'm debating who I should send my bill to, the corporate office or this location?? If you get an insane bill and insurance says it's out of network, have them check the billing and DO NOT PAY it until they do. read more

Negligence! My mom came in for an MRI and the nurses absolutely abused her. They claimed they were unable to find a "good vein." Instead of utilizing promising nursing techniques, another nurse was called into the room to "help" with the injection. The way this nurse helped was by putting my moms hand on a hard surface, and with a closed fist, punching the top part of her hand multiple times. My mom yelled out in pain, and the nurses response was "at least now we can find a vein." What kind of medical practice is this? It's been over a week and the top part of her hand remains bruised. I scheduled my CT scan a few weeks ago and got a text message, asking me to check in an hour before my appointment. Also asked me to fill out paperwork. If I wasn't able to fill out paperwork, I should check in at 8:50. So I filled out my paperwork online and checked in a little before 9am. Parked on the street, near Trader Joes which was 2 hour parking. I figured I should have enough time. I checked in and signed a paper. Sat there, thinking I would do some prep, but 40 minutes passed and I was still just sitting there. I asked the front desk person if I needed to do anything and she just said my scan was pretty straightforward and I didn't need to do anything. At 10am when my actual appointment was, I was called into the the rooms. I was asked to change into a gown but not told what to do with my stuff. But once I asked he told me I could put my things in a locker and I could take the key with me. Just a bunch of little things like that is why I'm giving this place a 3 star review. He did my scan and I was done in maybe 20+ minutes. I took the day off because I thought it would be more extensive than that, which is fine. Prepare to be ignored by the five chatting people at the front desk, then being made to wait forty minutes for your appointment. All of this will occur after you arrive on time, prefilled out paperwork and then have the pleasure of listening to the front desk people gossip about their lunch and watch them do nothing. Once you're seen, the clinicians are super professional and nice though! Made me feel comfortable and were great at guiding me through what would be happening. Looking at the recent reviews, it seems I am not alone in my experience here. Given the overwhelming uniformity of the comments, some of the blame at this point must land on management - both local & RadNet corporate - for putting up with this behavior. Also, I want to make it clear that ALL of the TECHS are first rate. None of my comments are a reflection on them. Yes, it is almost impossible to reach this location by phone. I've tried for HOURS and not gotten through. And no, they do not return calls. Yet when you actually arrive there are almost always 4-5 front desk workers standing around, chatting, NONE.ON.THE.PHONE. Do they keep the lines busy somehow? Are there others in the back talking to their friends? It's quite the mystery. (And they are obviously not to busy to at least RETURN calls, so what gives?) Yes, while you are waiting to be seen the front desk workers are back there doing no work...just chatting and giggling and eating. And why are there so many of them?! What a waste of money! No, the front desk workers don't care about anything; they have z-e-r-o investment in their job. They are disinterested Gen Z'ers who realize they get paid the same whether they do a good job or a bad one...so why make any effort to go above & beyond, right? The most recent time I was in (there are limited options in Burbank & some docs have imaging preferences), there was an apparent mix up and I was sent there by mistake (they don't do X-Rays). Of course, I would have known this if they had answerd the phone one of the 20 time I tried to call them to double check before I just gave up and called a Lyft, but when I pointed this out all I got was a sing song-y "sor-ry." Though to be fair, you never know when Chappell Roan is going to drop a new Tik Tok so...priorities, amiright?! Seriously though, if at all possible DO NO GO TO THIS LOCATION.
