I come to this store about twice a week to sell my cards, and every visit has been a great experience. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help. I especially want to give a shoutout to Ryan, one of the buyers. He truly goes above and beyond, taking the time to carefully evaluate and price each card fairly. I've been here a couple of times and loved it so today was pretty bewildering. I understand they're a busy shop and want lots of product on the floor, but this was the most claustrophobic shopping experience I've ever had. There are several display cases spaced close together with barely enough room for multiple people to be looking. There's nowhere to stand that doesn't make you feel like you're in the way. The Collectors Court was very disappointing. Prices change and markets fluctuate, but it's hard seeing cards that 5 months ago were $.25 suddenly being $1. $.75 may not be a lot to some, but it can add up quickly. I saw a 2025 Mookie Betts base card with a $4 price tag. Inserts that were $.25 a few weeks ago last time I was here are now $1. They have boxes of "premium singles" for specific players but all I've seen are base cards, not even any parallels. There are two tables now tucked inside the section that have too many chairs smushed in. You can't look through cards without having someone breathing down your neck. Most of the employees are great and friendly but I probably won't be making the trip up anymore. The shop is clearly shifting their demographic to more upscale. Been wanting to visit Burbank Sports Cards . Finally pulled the trigger and drove out 40 mins to visit the shop. I was really looking forward to it, but the entire experience was a letdown. To start, the parking is extremely limited.I had to circle for a while just to find a open spot. The customer service was even worse. While waiting in line for the restroom, an employee (who was wearing a PSA name tag) tried to cut in front of us despite the fact that we had already been waiting for several minutes. When we didn't let her, she gave us a hard time about it. I brought the situation to the owner's attention who happen to walk by, but instead of handling it, he watched her continue to be rude to me right in front of him. He just shrugged it off with a half-hearted apology, claiming there wasn't much he could do because she wasn't "technically" his employee. This is the biggest let down, because its his business name on the building. The whole encounter completely ruined my mood. I pass by this Sports cards store frequently and finally stopped in to check it out. It was definitely not what I expected. You can buy sports cards, but it caters to Pokémon collectors. First of all the parking lot was full. After a few pass throughs, I was just about to leave, when a space opened up. Upon entering, I liked how the rows were laid out. I was only interested in the baseball cards, so I headed straight to that area to browse. The store was pretty packed. There was a few others in the area I was, but most were sitting around waiting for their name to be called. I guess this is all for Pokeman trading/purchasing, or maybe for other things as well. It was really hard to tell. Otherwise, there was no other employees to ask questions to. Several tables had people sorting through boxes of Pokémon cards. It was a bit overwhelming as I expected it to be more of a sports related card store, but I guess the crazy for Pokémon is bigger than the collectible sports memorabilia. read more

Total Bait and Switch - Avoid This Store! I had a nightmare experience at this shop. I paid $600 upfront for a specific Jordan card, but when I arrived for pickup, they claimed they "accidentally" sold it to someone else. To "make it up to me," they offered a supposedly $1,200 card for the same $600. I took the deal in the heat of the moment, but after doing my homework and getting the card appraised by other experts, I found out it's a tampered/salvage-grade card worth $300 at most. 5/5 because they are what their name says: a sports card store! More than half the store (which is already pretty large) is full of sport cards. We were happy to find some WWE cards, but not much. There is some Pokémon, and a very limited amount of other anime cards. It is pricey here but thats sort of what you expect from places like this nowadays. We bought three card packs and we thought two card sleeves, but when we looked in the bag the card sleeves weren't in there. Upon double checking the receipt, they didn't charge us for the sleeves, but the cases were definitely in our cart. So I'm not sure how that happened, but I think the cashier and I both didn't notice that they didn't scan it in. This, and the lack of other card options made me drop my rating to 4/5. read more

I was driving down the road and caught a glimpse of an excellent Shohei Ohtani painting on a building and then realized it was the old Rite-Aid across from Porto's that had become a Sports Card Emporium. Fast forward a week or two and a friend at work who collects cards, non-sports, was looking for places that sold the kind of cards he collected, and I told him about Burbank Sportscards and just assumed that they carried much more than sports cards. He called them up and they had what he was looking for, so the held him a couple boxes and I swung by on my way home from work to grab them for him. Now, this was mid-afternoon during the week, and I was shocked at how busy this place was at that particular time! There was a big section of tables that a variety of people were sitting around at discussing things or playing games. The place is immaculately kept, and if this is your kind of collecting, then I'm sure they've got whatever you're seeking. The staff was very pleasant and professional, and incredibly efficient of finding you what you need and getting you on your way quickly. They do have armed protection at the door because many of the items in this facility are worth a LOT of money to the right people. I wasn't really expecting that when I walked in, but once I saw how nice the place was, and how much they carry in stock, it was just plain common sense to protect their investment. read more

I'm a tad torn on this place. Parking is horrendous. Staff is friendly but not all that knowledgeable, especially of what's in stock. I called before arriving asking if they had a certain box of cards in stock and they confirmed that they did. When I walked in I asked the first person for it and he directed me to the counter without any registers. When I asked those employees they presented me with different boxes and not what I was looking for. After searching, searching, searching, I realized the boxes I wanted were behind the cashier counter area. As I looked around, they didn't have many singles of non-sports cards. The display cases were pretty bare and there were no "long boxes" or similar to what you would find at a comic shop to get single cards. The vibe is great though, I love the giveaways they do on weekends. I'll definitely stop by again read more

I hit a special card the last Sunday of 2025 from a two pack I purchased from my local Circle K store. I kept this card in a safe place and decided on my day off 1/15/2026 i was going to make a trip out to Burbank Sportscards from Palm Desert California. The customer service from everyone that I came across was top notch excellent customer service and a great experience. I dropped off my Pokemon Mega Charizard x Ex card at the PSA Booth inside of Burbank. PSA employee Lori assisted me with my intake and I must say Lori was awesome, walk me through the process and I felt at home here. You guys have an amazing store. My barber and I have been talking about trading cards, especially sports cards. He would share couple of the shops in Burbank that he checks out and Burbank Sportscards happen to be one of them. I've been wanting to check it out then I understood they have moved locations. I didn't realize this store took over a RiteAid location. After their grand opening I was able to come through and check out the new spot. Outside you will see a mural of Ohtani's 50/50 and along the back way you will see Kobe v Lebron. Both beautiful murals. Upon walking inside the shop its overwhelming to see how much real estate this card shop has. All along the perimeter you will see Pokemon, all the various sports, a PSA vendor, then the check out. One thing I enjoyed about this shop was the section to go through common cards to fill up a box of what ever you find and want. There were plenty of tables for people to grab a box and fill up their lil stash. I visited over the weekend, the place had many people inside, the parking situation is kinda bad, but overall first time experience was great. The entire store isn't used up so with that, I am looking forward to seeing what else this store has planned for the future. Holy cow, this is like the mecca of trading cards stores! The card shops I'm used to are usually little ones with like one or two grizzled sports enthusiasts hustling wax packs and singles, usually limited to just the big three sports. This spot in Burbank, to contrast, is enormous. You can find rows and rows of hobby cards, from MLB to Pokémon to WWE and auto racing. They have everything you need here, even hobby supplies, and you'll be spending hours sorting through all this cool stuff. The selections are tremendous. Also, they have an on-location PSA depository where you can drop your card off to have it graded, which will probably save you time and postage for mailing it yourself. I'm not sure how often they do it, but on this day they had a free ticket raffle where you can score some pretty good cards. When I was there, a little girl won a Caitlin Clark rookie! Having said all that, there is a downside: their pricing. The cards are all marked up like 5-10% from what you can get on Ebay or at a much smaller card shop. There might be room to negotiate, a practice that is inherent in this industry, but still... Anyway, even you might be priced out, it's still worth stopping by just to see all this great stuff. I brought my kids (8 and 10 years old), and to say they were overwhelmed is an understatement in the best possible way. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had stepped into a card museum. The store is huge, beautifully organized, and packed wall to wall with treasures from every era. What stood out immediately was the incredible selection. For baseball fans, they have cards going back decades sorted not only by year and team but also by individual players, which made it incredibly easy for my kids to track down their favorites. You'll find cards from every major sport football, basketball, hockey, soccer along with a massive inventory of non-sport and Pokémon cards. My 8-year-old was in heaven going through the vintage 1920 to 1940s section, while my 10-year-old was all about the graded psa baseball cards. The staff was helpful and patient, even with all the questions my kids threw their way. They didn't rush us, and you could tell they were just as passionate about the hobby as the customers. Whether you're a first time collector or a seasoned pro, the team there makes you feel welcome. One of the most impressive and unique features is their on-site PSA booth. From what I understand, Burbank is one of the only if not the only card shops to have an official PSA submission center inside the store. This is a huge deal for collectors who want to grade their cards it takes out the hassle and uncertainty of mailing them in yourself. The entire space is clean, well-lit, and professionally run. Every section is thoughtfully arranged, from the bargain boxes for casual collectors to high end display cases for serious hobbyists. There's something for every budget and every level of interest. My brother and I regularly visit Burbank Sports Cards because we're big Pokémon collectors, and overall it's one of our favorite card shops to go to. The store itself is always clean, organized, and welcoming, and the staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Every time we've come in, people working the Pokémon area have been approachable and happy to help, which makes the experience fun for collectors like us. Today (March 12, 2026) we had another great interaction at the Pokémon station. The employee there was very friendly and helpful, assisted us with the products we were looking for, and even took our items up to the register for checkout. That part of the experience was exactly what we've come to expect from the shop. Unfortunately, the interaction at the register was the complete opposite. According to the receipt, the employee ringing us up was Aiden C. As my brother and I approached the counter, he was sitting behind it and didn't acknowledge us at all! No greeting, no "are you ready," nothing. He just gave us a really unpleasant stare. We had to be the ones to say that we were ready to check out. Throughout the entire transaction he barely spoke, aside from stating the total. He didn't greet us, didn't respond when we said thank you, and didn't say anything like "have a nice day." The whole interaction made it feel like we were bothering him just by being there, which was really surprising given how welcoming the rest of the staff usually is. It's disappointing because this is a shop we genuinely enjoy visiting and spending money at. Experiences like that at the register can really affect how customers feel about coming back. I hope this was just an off day, because the store and the rest of the team are usually great. We'll likely still return because we love the shop and the Pokémon selection, but hopefully future visits reflect the friendly atmosphere we've experienced there before. read more

Visited Burbank Sports Cards primarily to ask some questions about the PSA grading drop off location and maybe have a look around. Parking was a challenge, but we found a spot on the street that was within a hundred yards of the store, so it wasn't an issue. Have to take into account that this is Burbank, and parking in the area is at a premium. The shop itself was clean, well lit, and easy to navigate, without being overwhelming like many card shops tend to be. The displays are well organized, and stocked with cards from many of the most popular sports and entertainment genres, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and a wide variety of other anime, movie, and comic franchises, and pricing for each and every item was clearly marked. There was also a wide variety of boxes to dig through for singles, with tables and chairs available so customers could take their time and really find what they were looking for. I especially liked that once I picked my cards, a friendly staffer tagged them with my name and set them up at the cash register for when I was ready to pay. It was a touch that added another layer of convenience, allowed me to take my time and explore stress free, all while providing added security for the store, a win/win in my book. There were also a ton of protection and storage supplies within easy reach, so I never felt like I was bothering anyone to grab something I needed. I went in with no intention to spend any money, but ended up leaving with a few inexpensive selections for my collection, a stack of storage supplies, and a box of 2025 Allen & Ginter cards. I was here the other day it's only my 2nd time doing business here...but when the guy took my cards and went to a different room with them and closed the door I think he switched my cards.. I had a grade worthy Lillie's Clefairy and he low balled me on it so I declined the trade and as I left I had this feeling something wasn't right and it kept knowing at me I checked it when I got home to my photos and it seemed similar but not the same and I've had 4 different people check it out and they think the same that my card was switched.. just a knowing feeling I've had and I have no real way to confirm.. that will just be the last time I deal with this company. When buying people's cards you should not be taking them to separate rooms and closing the door.. it's sad to because it's not even crazy expensive it just goes to show how horrible people can be.. thank you for reading this plz if you go to this shop do not let them take your cards to a seperate room. read more

We're from NorCal and really wanted to stop by here. Came here with my toddler in a stroller and my hubby. As soon as we entered, this security guard came up to us telling us they're closing soon (which was fine and totally understandable) but then the guy was just like a hawk watching my fam. It felt so uncomfortable. After like 4 mins, we were the first ones he approached and followed around to kick us out in unfriendly manner. My hubby just tried sharing we're from NorCal and he just kept interrupting him while talking. Really upset at this experience. A "hidden gem" that I would want to gatekeep The vibes and ambiance are amazing, you truly can tell everyone who works there is passionate about cards and sports. They are always willing to help you and talk shop! There is a little something for everyone from vintage to modern sports as well as most of the popular TCGs (Pokemon, Magic, One Piece). They have great prices on sealed items, singles, and slabs. Even with their large inventory, everything is kept neat from hundreds of bulk boxes you can go through to binders of their more affordable singles. It's a great place to spend your time whether you are the type to enjoy looking through thousands of cards, want to sell, or even submit to PSA. They have a PSA booth that allows you to submit directly for the same prices you'd otherwise expect from PSA. Brought in numbered cards and premium inserts with clear higher sales on eBay and Card Ladder, and still got offers that weren't even close. That's not "part of the game," that's taking advantage of collectors who don't check comps. Add in overpriced wax and singles plus underwhelming customer service, and it's easy to see why I won't be back. Collectors know your value and move accordingly. read more

First and last time I step foot in this place, I was recommended by a friend because of their huge selection of sealed product and slabs. Apple Maps said they close at 7pm, I showed up at 5:45 figuring I had time to look around. Apparently they close at 6pm so I decided to go straight to the One Piece TCG section and found a card I wanted. They had 5 copies of it, I asked for help to get the card and the guy behind the counter handed me one of the copies, I asked if I could choose one out of the 5 to check condition and he looked at his watch, grunted a big ol "uuugghhh" and proceeded to say "your cutting it close man we're about to close". Now I know my $20 dollar purchase isn't going to keep the lights on in this place but for him to make me, the customer feel like I'm a nuisance to him really pissed me off, It literally take 30 seconds to inspect a card. Burbank Sports Cards has some great staff as well as a great selection, but my recent experience left a lot to be desired. Nate was very dismissive and seemed like he didn't want to be there. He never asked if I had a rewards account, and when I asked about getting my points, he grunted as if it was my fault. On top of that, their Instagram said they'd have more stock for mega evolutions the next day but didn't mention pricing. People camped out in the rain, and when the doors opened, the store was packed. Instead of communicating clearly ahead of time, they just yelled out that prices weren't MSRP anymore -- not that they ever were. I had purchased the Prismatic Surprise Box for him, but when we opened it, we realized it had been tampered with, the cards were in Japanese. I had a relatively foul experience with Burbank Sportscards back in March '25 when I was first getting back into the hobby. First the good; a solid selection of supplies, wax, as well as modern and vintage singles. The negative; I came here ready to spend a few thousand dollars on some vintage grails. Initially, I spent a good amount of time with a rep who was upbeat, patient, and knowledgable. I explained what I was looking for and asked about room on sticker prices if I were to package up a few vintage singles. He assured me they'd be able to work with me and to let him know once I was done perusing and had identified everything I was looking for. By the time I had all the singles picked out, he was busy and passed me off to a gruff and impatient rep. The experience turned sour immediately. As soon as I ran down the list of cards I was interested in making an offer on, he balked at even getting the cards out of the case to take a look. His remark was something along the lines of, "Are you actually going to buy these before I get them out? Cause there's no room for negotiation." First off, who would even buy a card at these price points without examining the cards first? Second, how is that any way to talk to a customer? How an individual like this managed to get into a customer facing position is beyond me. I'm not sure if this was some sort of good cop, bad cop approach to negotiating, but suffice to say they lost a few thousand dollars in business that day, and a returning customer. The "gentleman" was generally off-putting and made me feel like I was barely welcome in the store, much less ready to work with me on a deal. He seemed to be a generally miserable individual taking his garbage out on those around him. I eventually made my way back to the original rep who whispered an apology on behalf of the staff, and advised me to come back during the week when the owner's son was there, as he was more likely to work on a deal. Keep in mind I'm not some child off the street looking to simply hold some fancy vintage cards for a minute. I came ready to buy for a reasonable price. Instead I left empty handed, other than an absurdly overpriced 2-row storage box that could be purchased off Amazon for a quarter of the price. While I hesitate to let the actions of one individual dictate my experience of a store, management makes conscious decisions with whom they hire and choose to represent their business. I'm sure I'm not the first to experience this individual's misery, which tells me the business knowingly condones his behavior. Do yourself a favor and attend a show instead where you can actually get something reasonably priced around market value. Of if you want a better LCS experience, try Bullpen Sports HQ down in HQ. I saw a piece either on cable or YouTube about these guys and since I recently started collecting cards, I thought I might be able to score a deal and get an education. Unfortunately, between the time I booked my trip and arrived, they closed. Arrived on a Saturday and was handed a ticket for a free raffle they were doing. I didn't win, but though it was pretty cool that they were doing that. I did an online order for a Shedeur Sanders card and it was there waiting for me. Did some browsing and picked up two additional graded cards that I got below market value.
