Visited Burbank Sports Cards primarily to ask some questions about the PSA grading drop off location and maybe have a look around. Parking was a challenge, but we found a spot on the street that was within a hundred yards of the store, so it wasn't an issue. Have to take into account that this is Burbank, and parking in the area is at a premium. The shop itself was clean, well lit, and easy to navigate, without being overwhelming like many card shops tend to be. The displays are well organized, and stocked with cards from many of the most popular sports and entertainment genres, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and a wide variety of other anime, movie, and comic franchises, and pricing for each and every item was clearly marked. There was also a wide variety of boxes to dig through for singles, with tables and chairs available so customers could take their time and really find what they were looking for. I especially liked that once I picked my cards, a friendly staffer tagged them with my name and set them up at the cash register for when I was ready to pay. It was a touch that added another layer of convenience, allowed me to take my time and explore stress free, all while providing added security for the store, a win/win in my book. There were also a ton of protection and storage supplies within easy reach, so I never felt like I was bothering anyone to grab something I needed. I went in with no intention to spend any money, but ended up leaving with a few inexpensive selections for my collection, a stack of storage supplies, and a box of 2025 Allen & Ginter cards. I was here the other day it's only my 2nd time doing business here...but when the guy took my cards and went to a different room with them and closed the door I think he switched my cards.. I had a grade worthy Lillie's Clefairy and he low balled me on it so I declined the trade and as I left I had this feeling something wasn't right and it kept knowing at me I checked it when I got home to my photos and it seemed similar but not the same and I've had 4 different people check it out and they think the same that my card was switched.. just a knowing feeling I've had and I have no real way to confirm.. that will just be the last time I deal with this company. When buying people's cards you should not be taking them to separate rooms and closing the door.. it's sad to because it's not even crazy expensive it just goes to show how horrible people can be.. thank you for reading this plz if you go to this shop do not let them take your cards to a seperate room. read more

I came here looking for the new Topps WWE 2025 set, and they had it at great prices. Picked up a box and pulled some nice gems! You can also sell your cards here, though I've heard they sometimes offer a bit less than expected but I haven't sold anything myself, so I can't say for sure. Brought in numbered cards and premium inserts with clear higher sales on eBay and Card Ladder, and still got offers that weren't even close. That's not "part of the game," that's taking advantage of collectors who don't check comps. Add in overpriced wax and singles plus underwhelming customer service, and it's easy to see why I won't be back. Collectors know your value and move accordingly. read more

He never asked if I had a rewards account, and when I asked about getting my points, he grunted as if it was my fault. On top of that, their Instagram said they'd have more stock for mega evolutions the next day but didn't mention pricing. People camped out in the rain, and when the doors opened, the store was packed. Instead of communicating clearly ahead of time, they just yelled out that prices weren't MSRP anymore -- not that they ever were. It felt disorganized and a bit disrespectful to the customers who made the effort to show up early. read more

Service was the best. So many workers that you can ask questions that they help with espionage since I was a first time vistor. Selection can be considered to be the highest ever as Burbank Sportscards has everything from F1,NASCAR,Football,Baseball,Basketball,Non-sports, TCG,vintage,singles,graded and much more. What was my favorite part is nearly all cards on the show floor are at market or little below so no need to try to get a bargain. I would advise neew comers if you have cards to trade in go to the kiosk first and get on the list to sell or trade your cards for store credit. They offered be a reasonable trade for store credit that paid half of both of the cards I purchased. It seems they offer door prizes hourly, however check with the store or website as I don't know if that is every day. Whether you are a young kid just starting in this hobby or a long time veteran. This has to be the only sports card shop I have been to that has something for every collector. I will be back again. read more

I had a relatively foul experience with Burbank Sportscards back in March '25 when I was first getting back into the hobby. First the good; a solid selection of supplies, wax, as well as modern and vintage singles. The negative; I came here ready to spend a few thousand dollars on some vintage grails. Initially, I spent a good amount of time with a rep who was upbeat, patient, and knowledgable. I explained what I was looking for and asked about room on sticker prices if I were to package up a few vintage singles. He assured me they'd be able to work with me and to let him know once I was done perusing and had identified everything I was looking for. By the time I had all the singles picked out, he was busy and passed me off to a gruff and impatient rep. The experience turned sour immediately. As soon as I ran down the list of cards I was interested in making an offer on, he balked at even getting the cards out of the case to take a look. His remark was something along the lines of, "Are you actually going to buy these before I get them out? Cause there's no room for negotiation." First off, who would even buy a card at these price points without examining the cards first? Second, how is that any way to talk to a customer? How an individual like this managed to get into a customer facing position is beyond me. I'm not sure if this was some sort of good cop, bad cop approach to negotiating, but suffice to say they lost a few thousand dollars in business that day, and a returning customer. The "gentleman" was generally off-putting and made me feel like I was barely welcome in the store, much less ready to work with me on a deal. He seemed to be a generally miserable individual taking his garbage out on those around him. I eventually made my way back to the original rep who whispered an apology on behalf of the staff, and advised me to come back during the week when the owner's son was there, as he was more likely to work on a deal. Keep in mind I'm not some child off the street looking to simply hold some fancy vintage cards for a minute. I came ready to buy for a reasonable price. Instead I left empty handed, other than an absurdly overpriced 2-row storage box that could be purchased off Amazon for a quarter of the price. While I hesitate to let the actions of one individual dictate my experience of a store, management makes conscious decisions with whom they hire and choose to represent their business. I'm sure I'm not the first to experience this individual's misery, which tells me the business knowingly condones his behavior. Do yourself a favor and attend a show instead where you can actually get something reasonably priced around market value. Of if you want a better LCS experience, try Bullpen Sports HQ down in HQ. My son and husband love this store and frequent it often. As part of a gift for my son, I had gotten him his own custom made hockey cards. I asked George- the Manager - if he could display the hockey cards for when we visited the store. Sure enough my son found his own Rookie card. His reaction said it all. First and last time I step foot in this place, I was recommended by a friend because of their huge selection of sealed product and slabs. Apple Maps said they close at 7pm, I showed up at 5:45 figuring I had time to look around. Apparently they close at 6pm so I decided to go straight to the One Piece TCG section and found a card I wanted. They had 5 copies of it, I asked for help to get the card and the guy behind the counter handed me one of the copies, I asked if I could choose one out of the 5 to check condition and he looked at his watch, grunted a big ol "uuugghhh" and proceeded to say "your cutting it close man we're about to close". Now I know my $20 dollar purchase isn't going to keep the lights on in this place but for him to make me, the customer feel like I'm a nuisance to him really pissed me off, It literally take 30 seconds to inspect a card. OK, the new location for Burbank SportsCards is absolutely phenomenal! I've been a hobbyist of various paper collectibles for 5 decades now, and this is far-and-away the best in-store experience I have ever had (and I say that having visited a plethora of cards, comics, and games shops over time). Seriously, the place is just electric; for example, where else can you walk in and peruse over a hundred PSA graded T-206 tobacco baseball cards? Unreal... Owner Rob (aka "The Cardfather") is a hobby maestro - everything from the inventory, to the displays, to the staff, to the marketing, to the air conditioning, to the parking, etc., is just perfect. Tons of psa cards if you got that kinda budget for that as well as tons of budget friendly loosies for 2 bucks or less. Drove 40 minutes for the PSA grading. First off, the guy working the PSA was pretty rude. I've never graded a card before so I was hoping he could help walk me through the process. Instead he said I had to use the app and he'd take the cards from me. The app is a bit confusing so when I would ask for help he would give attitude. After I finished I gave him the card and he said I'd get an email but that's it. If I was gonna basically do it myself, I wouldn't have drove 40 minutes. Also the prices on Pokemon cards is absolutely ridiculous. Everything is so overpriced. I definitely wouldn't come back or purchase anything from here. read more

I have been coming to Burbank Sportscards for many years now. It is my favorite shop and one of my happy places to be at. I buy, trade, and sell to them and have always had a positive experience. I have been collecting sportscards for nearly 30 years and although sportscards is my first love, the last couple of years, my interest shifted to TCG. I am very happy that as my interest shifted, so did Burbank Sportscards' inventory. They carry a bunch of TCG products now too. They recently moved to a much bigger store. The new store looks amazing. This is a family owned business and the owners and staff are all nice and hardworking. Their amazing store and team is a reflection of their work ethics. Oh my goodness! Burbank Sportscards is one awesome looking card shop! I love browsing the multitude of display cases showcasing so many incredible sports cards. They have cards that fit any budget. My budget is very low when it comes to sports cards, but they fit that too cause they have plenty of value boxes with cards starting as low as one dollar. They do buy sports cards and trade for cards as well. Don't expect them to pay you 100% of comps though. 55% of comps is more realistic. Higher percentages given if the cards you are looking to sell or trade are real popular at the time. I've met the Card Father and his son. Both are very cool, and a pleasure to do business with. Staff has always been polite and helpful the times I've dropped by. Happy to have Burbank Sportscards only a couple of hours drive from me. read more

To start everything was well organized and put together but when it comes to customer service it was kinda bad. Every employee just had a frown and seemed to be depressed to be even working there. One of the workers was staring me down the whole time even though there was someone who looked like they were gonna rob the place but okay whatever. When I get the cards I wanted I was taken to check out but when I got to the register the employee gave me crap for what I was buying and said "For this much I should just charge you more" which I could tell he wasn't joking cause there wasn't even a single ounce of a smile on his face. Best experience I've ever had at a card shop!!! I loved everything about this store. I came all the way from oregon to visit the shop. The interior and exterior of the shop is so well done, the murals and designs are top notch. The selection and pricing of all the cards was so amazing, you could find anything you were looking for. I first head about this place from a YouTuber named SashaT & the background image from the Washington Post article on sports cards boom came from Burbank Sportscards fulfillment center (https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2021/07/14/pandemic-sports-card-boom/). There's a small parking lot at the front entrance, but there are additional parking spots in the rear. This new location just recently opened in June 2021 and the shop has multiple display cases with a huge selection of graded sports cards. 99% of graded cards are sports cards and 1% of them are miscellaneous TCGs such as Pokémon cards. In addition, they also sell supply for sports cards such as sleeves (for raw cards and graded cards including PSA and BGS), team bags, protective cases (storage cases or exterior protective cases for graded cards), toploaders, binders, storage cardboard boxes, etc. Burbank Sportscards has buying hours from Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM & 2 PM to 6 PM, Wednesday from 2 PM to 6 PM, and Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM & 2 PM to 5 PM. No buying or trading on Monday and Sunday & you'll need to reach out co-owner Ryan via email for a larger collection. Lastly there's a small section in the shop called the Fishbowl (selection of raw dollar cards). All dollar cards (sports cards only) are categorized into different decades and just ask the staff to grab a box & you'll be able to search through boxes like doing modern day treasure hunting. All of non-sports sealed products are displayed in the Fishbowl and almost all non-sports sealed products are modern sets for Pokémon (occupied 1/3 of the shelves), Magic: The Gathering, Yu-GI-Oh!, wrestling, soccer, and a Kickstarter trading card game called Metazoo. This is the place to stop by for sports cards enthusiasts and pick up supplies for sports cards & trading card games.
