This was my second time visiting Burbujas by René and once again, me and my partner were so impressed. First, the servers were outstanding, so friendly and helpful that you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. Even though you'll have a main server, anyone on the team is quick to assist if you need something. The restaurant is very clean and well lit. The only note is that parking is strictly valet, so plan for that. The food was fantastic across the board (just as we remembered it). We tried the croquetas de jamón (ham croquettes) and queso frito (fried cheese) to start, and both were fresh, crispy, and perfectly prepared! For our entrees, I went with the pollo empanada (breaded chicken) while my husband had the bistec empanada (breaded steak), we each got a side of arroz y habichuelas (white rice & red beans). I added maduros and garbanzos on the side, the garbanzos were easily some of the best I've had in Puerto Rico! What stood out to me as well was that the owner, René, he made a point to walk around and greet every single guest, thanking them for stopping by. That kind of personal touch says a lot for me. Overall, I'd recommend Burbujas by Rene to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Puerto Rican comida criolla. Definitely worth a visit! read more

The service here is great and so is the sangria. The owner René is very friendly. He walks around and is very welcoming. There isn't great parking availability but they have valet. They have beautiful art on the wall that can be purchased. They also have WiFi available. These are the reasons I gave them a 4. This is a locals place so you will not se much tourist. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is that the food wasn't amazing. It was good but that was it, just good. I would come here again. I especially liked they were family and kid friendly. Only complain is the Can Can and carne frita pork is on the overcooked side (a problem in many PR restaurants) but this can easily be improved. The Yuca Volcan, Milanesa and Enpanadas are to die for.
