Wow! The food here is just incredibly delicious! We ordered two cheese burek & one meat burek. They both were just absolutely tasty! Big slice! Anyone with a big appetite will definitely be full & satisfied. $4 for each. The place is pretty small. Friendly service. Helpful too... We'll definitely go back!

It took me a while to try this place out since I had thought this was a pizzeria! I've had burek before (at Uku's in Astoria) but never remembered what it was called. Now i definitely will, because the burek here is fantastic. I've had the spinach/cheese burek a few times which provides a pretty hearty vegetarian meal. The crust is super flaky and crunchy, but chewy when you bite in, and also buttery. The filling is delicious and holds up well in the somewhat thin pie. They also have yogurt you can have with the burek, but I kind of prefer just eating it on it's own. I get the sense this is more of a take out place, but there is some seating in the somewhat dark restaurant and on the patio (go for the patio, if it's nice). And the woman who serves the burek is really a pleasure. Did I mention a huge slice of burek pie (like big enough to share) is only $5?

Delicious Burek can't complain other than not being open just a little later the owner was nice and friendly and the price isn't bad either I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends

If you ever wanted to taste a traditional balkan meal, then this is the place to go! Yes, it looks like nothing special from the outside and even when you enter the place it leaves a lot to be desired decoration wise, but all that stops mattering the moment you take a bite out of your first order. Bureks pizza offers three types of burek meals, filled with meat, fresh cheese or spinach and trust me all of them taste delicious! Not to mention the price which is only $4 per slice (don't forget to treat yourself with some yogurt with your burek). The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. 5 stars!

Best take out meal. I always get the cheese. I like to order a whole pie because i feel it's more fresh then ordering individual slices.

The food was really good. I noticed that our food came relatively quickly and our servers were professional and kind. My steak was juicy and pink, just the way I like it, the potatoes were seasoned really well and they weren't over or undercooked and the caesar salad had the perfect dressing to salad ratio. I would say that I was a little thrown off by the confusing and out of place the playlist seemed to be considering the vibe of the restaurant and the kind of food being served. Overall I really wasn't disappointed by the food or the experience. The restaurant was nice looking and I would definitely come here again.

I'm usually more of a smash burger kind of guy, but the steakhouse style burger was quite flavorful. My only complaint about the burger is that it had no sauce or condiments at all on it. The bacon mac and cheese was also quite nice. The bad: It was pretty overheated in the restaurant, and really humid. The only thing in the restaurant to help with the heat was one big fan at the back. Unfortunately, it was blowing directly on one table of guests back there, and not really doing much for the rest of the people in the restaurant.

This was my second time dining here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it once again…read more After enjoying a delicious meal paired with a fantastic all-jazz performance, I'm already looking forward to coming back. I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

Every staff member was super young--barely legal or not even. Every interaction felt like staff were practicing their lines, playing a role in a play, and us, customers, were just cast. Waiters and buss boys were speaking to us like we were dumb/deaf/on the spectrum/high/drunk. It was so disconcerting. Never had such weird experience. Made me so uncomfortable. We were the first ones in the door with 11am reservation on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly. High noise level. Not the best for large groups. The burgers sell out quickly, as only 68 are prepared daily, so we snagged those right away. So delicious. Double smashed cheeseburger--simple and satisfying. Very rich. Would return for this again. French toast was disappointing. Looked pretty but tasted of nothing. It wasn't French toast in a traditional preparation: it was bread pudding cut into a slice and drizzled with syrup and served French toast style. The texture was of a moist but bland bread pudding. Utterly disappointing. Skip. War potatoes (crispy potatoes that are served as a side, with a dollop of super spicy sauce) were very tasty. Double or triple fried to a crispy perfection. Love me some perfectly crisp potatoes. These are super caloric, so prepare for some heartburn after. Ask for war sauce on the side because it is SPICY. House made pistachio gelato was superb. So many pistachios--I'd eat this daily and would return for this!
