Originally came here for bunch for some waffles. Sadly, the refrigerator was broken. However, we opted to stay because we were hungry and it was pouring outside. I was VERY pleased, we stayed to eat! Like I said, we came here brunch, which I kind of order, Brunch pizza (eggs, bacon, cherry tomatoes, spinach on a brick oven thin crusted pizza. The waitress made it happen and it was delicious. The Hot Mess pizza was just as good, looks like a salad pizza but it was delicious as well. The bonfire drink was a jalapeño infused tequila grapefruit juice, lime and orange made perfectly, yes the waitress made that one! Inside the Pan, intimate, chill vibes, jazz music in the background, nice display of the brick oven while the pizza is being made, very spacious dining area with cool table and chairs. We were in the area and the rain was coming down so much, we decided to dip off some place to eat...What a perfect choice! When you walk in, everything is so captivating to the eyes because it is not expected in that type of space (in my opinion) the area itself was huge! And they had something everywhere for u to look at! If it wasn't the piano or the fire pit outside with the benches, it was the beautiful brick oven right in the middle of the floor making all the delicious pizzas! Our server was so sweet and pleasant. Very attentive and her personality was very charming! Perfect customer service! And she was running everywhere! I really wanted to like this place. I've been here at least four times and the cocktails and pizza are good but I would stick with those menu items only. I walked here for dinner one night this winter after checking their instagram and found out they were closed for an event that was listed on their website (this actually happened to me two different times). After leaving, they posted it on their instagram. Yesterday, I went for an early dinner because the happy hour special I saw online looked great but found out after sitting down they have no happy hour special. There was broken glass all over the patio we were sitting on and the chicken dish I ordered was not good. I've also ordered the baked fish and was really excited to try it. It arrived with very little visual thought (wrapped up not that nice in tin foil) and it didn't taste like anything special. The vibe is nice and the pizza is good but I probably won't be back. Absolutely loved this place!!! Another hidden gem in ridgewood and we were highly impressed. Fortunately, we went on a Sunday of Labor Day weekend and we happened to be lucky to be seated very quickly AND have a concert literally right next to us. A DJ was performing that night and it was a rave party so therefore it was our views while dining. For many maybe not what they would've wanted but we sure had a great time listening to music and eating great food. As per drinks they were incredible! We ordered the sunset fling and stolen garden and wow both were amazingly delicious. For food we ordered the hot mess pizza and tagliatelle with ragu highly recommend both. Everything was so flavorful and made to perfection. We definitely want to come back and try more of their menu. I came here on a Friday at 6 PM for my sister's birthday with six people, and everything was great. My sister made a reservation which I don't think was necessary for a 6 PM but definitely for a 7 PM dinner time you should make a reservation in definitely filled up by then, but there were still tables if you had a small party. I would say the only downside is that there was no AC only fans so on this very muggy day you were just sweating during your meal. If that's a dealbreaker, I would suggest coming on a better weather day. It is a very beautiful space with a lot of greenery and I eat large brick up in pizza oven. We ordered three pizzas, two dishes and two appetizers and that was enough for the six of us. We finished everything. We ordered the hot mess, potata, Caesar salad, olives and bread, jar chicken, tagliatelle, and Vampires breadth with sausage. Everything was delicious and very shareable. The Caesar salad was your classic salad, freshly made, olives and bread was exactly what it sounds like so unless you love olives, I wouldn't necessarily suggest getting it for the price. The tagliatelle was amazing and my favorite, the jar chicken comes with bread and it was a very good roasted chicken if that's what you're looking for, the hot mess pizza was good, but not out of this world, the Potata reminds me of good rosemary potatoes, and the vampire breath I would say is my favorite, but because the pizzas are very thin crust sometimes the toppings would slide off the dough. the Nutella pizza, the tiramisu is in a coffee cup size, And the Panna cotta comes in a small jar so those are not shareable for more than one other person, but the pizza is easily for six people to share. I was searching Yelp for a place to eat in Brooklyn and found Pan. You would right by it if you don't slow down and really look for it. It's behind a fence and there's outdoor seating. It looks a little skeptical but once you get inside it's an old warehouse turned restaurant. The place is rustic with exposed brick walls, not a lot of ambiance. I ordered the Butternut squash soup which was ok. I ordered the Caesar Salad and it was delicious. My friend had the Minestrone soup, she said it was delicious. The service was great. Once we figured out we could just walk in to the nearly empty, not air conditioned restaurant, we we seated and waited an extended time to place our order. They were out of oysters. Okay. We placed our cocktail orders, along with some focaccia, a Caesar salad, and a couple pizzas. - the Caesar was good. It's basically just several hearts of romaine with a pretty good dressing slathered around, with a few pieces of "focaccia" (more on that next) - guys, you can't call this focaccia. It doesn't look like it or taste like it. It isnt It's just pizza crust cut into triangles. Let's be real. It tastes fine, but call it what it is. "Crust triangles" or "breadsticks" or something, but not focaccia -- it's misleading. - the Hot Mess pizza was not my favorite. Pretty sloppy and the toppings were a mess, but the hot honey did pack a punch. Also, this desperately need some ham or prosciutto or something on it, to build it out. - Quattro Formagge pizza I was excited for and it WAS better. Could have done with more figs or some balsamic drizzle or something, but pretty good. - OH and we waited the entire meal for our drinks, turns out THEY WERE OUT OF ICE and just didn't tell us the entire time? So we canceled the drinks from our bill and left. So...this place seems hopping as hell from the music venue, but the service and food need a lot of work. The space was so cute! I haven't been in the area before, so it was only the more difficult trying to find this place, as there wasn't much of a storefront. Instead, we have this large beautiful outdoor patio that made for the perfect dinner ambiance that night. The servers were really friendly and conversation, and also super quick to take away any empty cups or plates. Maybe a little too fast, but I appreciate the gesture. They recommend 2 pizzas for 3 people. The pizzas were incredibly thin, all the more to try more flavors. And they did have a lot of options. It's so rare that this is ever the case, but I just genuinely did not think any of the food items my friend and I ordered tasted good. The Aperol spritzes were watery as hell. The focaccia was a bland starter. We split the hot mess and tagliatelle entrees, both of which were bad/mid-tier. And both arrived to our table slightly warm, just shy of room temperature, so they became cold and gross pretty quickly. The hot mess simply was not tasty to me at all; the ingredients did not harmonize well together. The tagliatelle was OK, but again, eating cold pasta is not good. Friend was craving something sweet and the tiramisu didn't deliver. It was overly bitter with way too much straight espresso powder and not enough thought put into the sweet part. Atmosphere: it could've just been a one-time thing on the day we went, but we sat on the outdoor patio, and there was a very loud DJ dance party in the bar area downstairs. I had to shout to have a conversation with my friend. We opted to sit outside because the indoor dining area was hot as Hades with no AC. You pay for an experience when you go out to eat, and this experience didn't deliver. They should consider bringing in an actual Italian chef to advise on ingredients and meal prep. read more
