We never made it to Wingcraft. We had planned a lunch there, thirteen of us again, the same band of optimists who once believed in rejuvenation via spicy poultry. A happy hour event was also on the calendar for Thursday, meant to be a cheerful punctuation mark on a long work week. Then came the news: Wingcraft had closed its doors forever. No warning, no farewell, no wings. It is strange to feel stood up by a restaurant, but that is how it felt. One moment there was a place with burgers and beer flights, a hum of televisions and bar chatter, and the next there was only silence and a locked door. We were left wandering near the Convention Center, hungry and confused, like pilgrims whose holy site had vanished overnight. I give it two stars because once upon a time, the food was decent and the beer cold. But the sudden disappearance left us stranded, and the city felt emptier for it. Stopped here because of other Yelpers reviews! We parked in Apple Bee's parking lot as suggested! Place is a modern sports bar. Great decor and open space. We were seated right away. We started with a couple of apps- Wings,, Mexican Street Corn Guacamole And Chips, and the Short Rib Tater Tots. All were fantastic. We all had different entrees shrimp tacos, California Reuben(sooo good), Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Short Rib Grilled Cheeese/came with a side dipping sauce with the perfect amount of heat, Last but not least the terrific Cali Burger with chips Can't really tell you about the drinks we all drank water besides my hubby that had a house IPA he said it was good. No more broken chicken bones! Came here yesterday after shopping at the outlets. I basically ordered the same thing I got last time. Chicken wings nekked with a side of BBQ honey sauce, mild sauce, ranch dip and an order of onion rings (not on the menu). I love their BBQ honey sauce dipped in ranch. I never had their mild wing sauce, but tried it and wasn't a fan. My mom ordered the Greek salad. Their wings come out crispy which we both enjoyed (my mom is very hard to please), the onion rings were good, and she very much liked her salad. Service was great and the ambiance is nice. Our lunch here came out cheaper than breakfast at Hash House at Tropicana. The only thing problem is that only 7 pieces of wings come in one order. That's an odd number for wings. Wingcraft Kitchen & Beer Bar is an American gastropub and craft beer bar that opened in Atlantic City, New Jersey in June 2014. It was founded by restaurateur brothers Nick and Antonio Ballias. Nick has most of the restaurant experience, having worked in restaurants since he was 13. He spent time managing restaurants in Philadelphia while a student at Drexel University. The place was pretty quiet when we were there, the decor was nice, and the service was friendly and helpful. To drink, I had Pontoon Brewing's "Sooper Froot Sour" (Fruited Berliner Weisse) while my wife had "Gus's Blueberry Lemonade" (3 Olives Blueberry, lemonade, simple syrup). For our entrees, I had the "Classy Wings" (hybrid of buffalo moscato/habanero wine sauce, topped w/ crisp garlic, truffle bleu cheese sauce), my wife had the "Hot and Honey Buffalo Chicken Sandwich" (fried chicken, hot & honey sauce, bleu cheese, chopped celery) with Sweet Potato Fries, our older son had "Kids Chicken Bites w/ Chips" (boneless chicken bites), and our younger son had the "Kids Mac N Cheese w/ Chips". Wingcraft was a pleasant surprise! They offer an abundance of beer options. I went with the pomegranate cider beer and it was so tasty and not too sweet! Our table ordered 3 types of wings. The dry rub being the favorite for everyone but I don't eat wings so I can't personally comment. I did however, order the maple corn fritters. They are absolutely shareable because of the heaviness of them but they were incredible! Pictures would not do it justice! For my meal, I ordered the hot and sweet chicken sandwich which was a take on a Nashville type chicken sandwich. It didn't compare but it was still good. I visited AC for a conference and this restaurant was writhing walking distance from the hotel. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark. The Corn Fritters weren't what was expected and the off putting color and over the top sweetness made them inedible. Hoping the entrees would be better but that's a no also. My pork chop was raw in the middle and my guest had the ribs with a very, very spicy sauce. We sent the food back and while I opted for wings, they said they were making her another rib. When it returned it looked like it was triple fried and also inedible. To ensure there was no waste I met a nice man who had nothing to eat and offered it to him and he was appreciative. Burger was well done and a little tough but overly salty on both burgers. The kicker was it was $17.98. Place was not crowded yet service was slow. Will not be returning. Very disappointed. You can escape the crowds, they'll accommodate what game you'd like to watch, and their food is what I call "high end bar food". Lots of beer choices and the service is great. I was in AC for a work trip and after a long day of travel Wingcraft was a perfect choice to curb my appetite. I was greeted from across the restaurant the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was extremely friendly. They had a plentiful beer selection and some tasty options for food. I ordered Manhattan Project Burger and let me say it was AMAZING! They have an extensive menu of various beer options as well as food options. We decided to go with the truffle fries which were amazing!! They were so crispy and have amazing truffle flavors. The best part were the wings - BEST WINGS I EVER HAD. They were so crispy and flavorful. Highly recommend the wings if you come here. I went in as a last minute resort on a cold and rainy day trying to avoid the torrential downpour. I ordered sweet and spicy shrimp as an appetizer which was nothing special. It took a very long time to come out which is why I assume my main entree was on the cooler side. The shrimp though seemed overcooked and overly sweet. The slaw helped tame the sweetness a bit but it shouldn't have needed it. I ordered the bone-in mango habanero wings and sweet potato fries. Surprisingly, the show stopper here were the fries. I guess I should have learned my lessen about the sweetness because it too was overbearingly sweet. The wings were also a bit overdone and seems like it sat under the warmer a bit too long. Seems like wings should just come tossed in the sauce normally and if you don't want sauce, order it on the side. The wings were very mediocre. Since the wings are fried "naked" with breading, I noticed the breading nor the chicken was seasoned. The I got truffle Parmesan French fried but at $8.99, were not worth it. The staff was great.
