This is a fast casual burger place. Our server was really nice and good. We were starving. Started with the sweet chili wings which were more breaded than we anticipated but still pretty good. Also for the buffalo chicken bites which were pretty good, fried not really sure what I was expecting with these. Got the burger smash which wasn't as much of a smash burger as I'm used too. Looking for a quick bite while staying at Ocean Resort Casino. We were seated at a high top near the bar. Even though it is a burger joint we ended up getting a chicken sandwich. Next time if we go back we will get a burger. We decided to split a chicken sandwich and Parmesan truffle tots. The server was fast and attentive. I honestly came here expecting a below average chain burger, but what I got was a delicious burger that resembled what was advertised. That's a first for me to get a quality burger for a reasonable price. They have a full bar here and the bartender was cheerful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Given the three-star average I was surprised by the overall experience here. Service was great, the place looks fun, and it always comes down to the food. The THE OUR BURGER Beef burger, government cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and Paul's signature Wahl Sauce was outstanding. If I had to complain I would say the Wahl Sauce needs to be less watery. Though it was served on the side and actually tastes great it made for a more messy experience than called for. When you add this to a perfectly cooked medium burger that is already juicy - well, some of it ends up on the jeans you are wearing! Terrible. Overpriced and very poor quality. The double burger felt more like a salad sandwich with the meat as a condiment. Beware, the double is not a true double. It is a double patty, but the patties are smaller than the single patty. They previously disclosed this on the menu but do not anymore. The one positive was our waitress. She was fantastic, but even that couldn't make up for this place. Do yourself a favor and go to District (the food court) or Harpers for a burger. You will get a much better burger, both size and quality, for a much lower price. Ocean should bring back Village Whiskey and dump this dog! The burger wasn't great and not worth the 17$ (the tots were separate); buns weren't toasted, the patty was not seasoned and flavorless, it was cooked fine though. The tots were the highlight but priced steeply at 10$. Overall would NOT recommend this place. I think of so many places were 25$ can get you a great burger, side and drink. This place just ain't it.
