Had Burger and Lobster about 11 years ago my first trip to London. The lobster roll was so good, I went back to the states thinking I'll never have a lobster roll quite as good again. I chased the memory and have had lobster rolls from many other establishments. When I came back to London last week, I got the Lobster roll at this location. I can't remember how it tasted before but this was indeed very good. The Lemon butter sauce that you can drizzle as much as you'd like was unlike any other lobster roll sauce. Our dinner at Burger and Lobster was a last minute decision after a very long and arduous day of touring the U.K. We didn't have reservations however, the sweet woman at reception found us a spot at the bar. We believe everything happens for a reason. Sitting at the bar gave us the pleasure of meeting Achilles who was absolutely delightful. He made several menu recommendations which were on point. We started with the Lobster Croquettes...amazing! My husband had the Beast Burger with tender chunks of lobster meat on top. He raved about it! I had the Chicken Burger which was equally delicious and had a slight kick to it. We finished our meal with the Chocolate Fondant, a very rich and chocolaty dessert. This was quite a disappointment. The food wasn't bad at all - albeit a limited menu. But the customer service was absolute shit. From having the server flirt with the men and ignore me as I try to order to being rushed to finish my food, this experience told me everything I need to know about this place: that they don't need my money or from anyone else that isn't their ethnicity. Nothing special! I'd heard of Burger & Lobster before in NYC. I saw it was near our hotel in London and wanted to check it out. It was fine, but nothing to write home about! Fresh lobster chuck stuffed in a toasted brioche bun spread with garlic butter, topped with a little mayo. The sauce that comes on the side is a lemon butter which brings the roll to another level. The lobster burger is delicious too. There is so much flavors in the burger, the juicy meat patty, buttery lobster, melting brie and fragrant truffle...nom It is a bit pricey but the food is wonderful. Having been to multiple locations, this is at the top of the list. Excellent service, fantastic cocktail and drink menus and delicious food! What more could you ask for? Although their lobster prices have increased, you can still get an amazing size lobster for under £30 which includes fries and salad plus their irresistible butter garlic dipping sauce. It's quality all the way. They also serve burgers or lobster rolls, which could go head to head against any in Maine. Came at 8pm after making a reservation through Yelp. They said they didn't have the reservation, but because it didn't look busy I said no problem and asked if we can have a table for 2. It's tricky to tell if they're busy because the main dining room is in the basement, but there were no one coming or going. I forgot how she phrased it, but essentially she said it'll be 10 minutes and told us to go buy a drink at the bar. It was OBVIOUS to mean it was a B.S. lie just to try to sell overpriced drinks at the dead bar. After telling the bar tender a couple minutes later we don't want to drink on an empty stomach the hostess came back and said there's a table. When we got down stairs there were AT LEAST 20 seats available and 100% ready to seat. Lobster was good and great price. My fiancé said the burger was absolutely disgusting and she only ate a bite or two. Funny thing is when we were exiting there was a group of 5 outside the door where one of the people took a glance inside and came out telling their group that the place isn't a restaurant because they only saw the 3 empty tables at the entrance by the bar. This business must loose tons of business this way as when we came in there was no hostess at the desk either (she has to run people downstairs to seat them so completely disappears). 1 Star for cheap lobster. 2nd star for cute hostess. read more

Toilets: disabled toilets blocked by stuff and it is used as a storage room (with an open step ladder in it). My friend had to wait for over 5 minutes and ask staff twice to clear the path and be allowed in, she nearly wet herself :( very disappointing and worrying. My husband and I were going to come for dinner last night but ran out of time. So while shopping today we popped in for lunch. Thinking 130pm on a weekday we should be fine. We were a little surprised they were still busy and required a reservation. Well any place that still needs a reservation at 130pm has to say something right?? YES it does!! I would have loved to give this place 5* for food, however for the service and dinning experience I have had to reduce it to 3*. Firstly the food here 5* amazing. I got the full burger and half lobster. The meat of the burger was very juicy, even cooked medium well. The lobster was very fleshy which was very nice, especially with the garlic sauce they serve alongside with it. Desert was nice, a little bit too sweet but I can't complain. The service was a shame overall. When the waitress arrived he was very quick to explain, what they serve and how the ordering of portions worked. He wanted to take our orders before we could even get a chance to consider them. When it came to dessert, he almost made it seem all the desserts where rolled into one. A short menu is always a good thing in a restaurant as it means the chef specialises in what's on the menu, rather than trying (and usually failing) to do it all. At Burger and Lobster there is no menu and the waiters explain you have a choice of 3 items, which I took as a good sign as they must all be delicious. The 3 items were a lobster roll, lobster in its shell or a 10oz burger, all served with chips and salad and priced at £20. I can't comment on the burger or the lobster in its shell, but the lobster roll was heavenly! Thick succulent lobster in Japanese mayonnaise in a sweet brioche bun, served with dressed salad topped with cheese and well cooked fries. I liked the fact that you didn't have to study a menu for ages to work out what you wanted as I can be quite indecisive when given to much choice. But I think £20 was a lot for this dish. If it was £15 this review would be marked the full five stars, but I will probably go back anyway as it's an interesting concept and a cool place in Bond St, where the other options are chain restaurants or over-priced hotels. read more

So they ordered medium and they all arrived medium rare. Citrus salad was blah. Front waitress/hostess didn't speak enough English to understand that we had a reservation, and had to go get help. Waitress forgot to put one of our party's order in but wasn't very apologetic. We're in our 40s, not that old, but I have to say that the music was so loud that I couldn't hear the people two down (and we were not directly under a speaker). I have to say, I am not a huge fan of lobster but I came with a group and heard the lobster roll was a must-try. This place rates somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. 20 quid gets you a 1-1/4 lb lobster plus chips and small salad. For lobster this is a 'fast food' price and the food quality is commensurate. Seamed lobster was overcooked but edible. The chips (fries) were almost certainly pre-frozen and forgettable. This was a decent enough place to escape the rain, but there are better bistros nearby. This was my favorite luncheon meal in London so far...mainly because they had a good old fashioned! The food, though, was also very good. Tasty well cooked hamburgers...that you can get with...wait for it...lobster! Their lobster roll is perhaps the best I've had outside of Maine...they say a Japanese mayo, but while I didn't get any Asian flavor that's not to say it wasn't a good mayo...lobster roll is a definite redo if I ever make it back. Niece in law loved her...just lobster, which reminds me you can get a garlic butter which actually seems more like a bearnaise sauce and is very very good...a big recommendation to add to your lobster or lobster roll. This was our second trip to B&L in the same week. We returned on 10/7/2019 because the food was good and our server, a young woman was very good. This time it was the complete opposite. On my first trip I had to explain to the server how to make a Manhattan cocktail. The first one was good and the second one was better. On this trip I had to tell another server, a man, how to make a Manhattan cocktail making sure that I wanted very little sweet vermouth in the drink. Sometimes a bartender will put too much sweet vermouth in the cocktail and you can't taste the bourbon. This is what happened, too much vermouth. We ordered our entrees and another round of drinks. Our entrees arrived before our drinks. We then canceled our drink order. There was only one bartender making drinks and she never stoped making drinks. She needed help. I blame management for the terrible service because they did not have sufficient staff behind the bar. I have since learned that London bars pour light compared to America bars. BTW the lobster was tough. Cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

Went there on Saturday night and sat at the bar. There were two bar staff but neither acknowledged me or offered me service. I waited five minutes and then got up and stopped a passing waiter and asked if he'd take my order. He did and then I waited patiently for my glass of wine and burger. After about five minutes i noticed a glass of wine at the other end of the bar so i got up and asked the bartender if it was mine. He looked at the ticket and said it was so i took it and went back to my stool at the end of the bar. Thankfully one of the most amazing burgers i've ever eaten then arrived which i thoroughly enjoyed. When i received the bill i notice that i was being charged a service charge so i asked the bartender to remove it to which he responded 'the tip is shared with everyone'. I maintained that i would like it removed which he begrudgingly did. I paid and left. As I walked up towards Oxford Street outside a person i've never seen before ran after me and asked what was wrong with the food to which i replied 'nothing...it was fine' and walked away. The quality of the ingredients in my meal was excellent and the presentation impeccable but the service was truly awful so doesn't justify the experience. read more
