First few minutes here and the bartenders were both very rude. The male and female behind the bar. I asked politely if they wouldn't be able to charge my phone and they both barked at me. Definitely did not need the attitudes . Unfortunately I'm super hungry so I still ate here and craving lobster so the waiter was very attentive and on top of his service but the bartenders left a bad first impression already. The lobster is pretty good but nothing special. The fries has no seasoning and it doesn't even come with a side salad! New York does. I had to order it after to still get my regular experience here. When the salad came it tasted bitter. I ordered the rock star signature cocktail and it's a bit watered down. Won't be back.

I love Burger and Lobster. Being a lobster snob, my favourite activity is to get the "big boys" lobsters on the grill. If you want to experience DA BOMB, forget about the 3 lobster, lobster rolls, or burger option and try out the Big Boys. OMG! You will not regret. Not only do you get unlimited slides, the best lobster is definitely anything over 3+ pounds. Burger & Lobster consistently have fresh uber big boys made to order. Definitely Yum Yum YUM!

Lobster steamed has sweet natural taste, grilled is fragrant with accompanying cheese sauce. Lovely salad included. Chips soggy, old, unimpressive. Good thing this chain doesn't advertise on chips, just focus on lobster!

Here's all you need to know: I was in London for two nights. I ate here both nights. (Strictly speaking, that's not exactly true. The first night, I ate at the Burger & Lobster in Mayfair. But you get the idea.) After enjoying a lobster roll my first night in London, I fully intended to eat dinner somewhere else the next day. But after a late night of shopping, I found myself at Oxford Circus at 9pm with an empty stomach. I checked for nearby restaurants, and lo and behold, another Burger & Lobster was just a few short blocks away! The Little Portland Street location was much, MUCH less crowded than the Mayfair location had been the night before. I walked in and sat at the bar, ready to order at once. Then I realized why I was the only one sitting at the bar. While seated in the barstools, the bar itself practically reached my shoulders! Clearly there was no way I could competently eat a lobster raising my arms that high so I requested a table instead and was swiftly seated. That hiccup aside, the rest of my dinner was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the grilled lobster and it was just amazing. Of course the fries and the salad were terrific, but I already knew that from my experience in the Mayfair location. I had never eaten grilled lobster before and did not realize what a treat I was in for. I think it was probably the best £20 I've ever spent on food. As I was leaving, I noticed a sign proclaiming the imminent opening of Burger & Lobster's NYC location. As that's a bit closer to home for me, I absolutely can't wait!!

Sorry to disappoint everyone, but I didn't see what the hype was about. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things to love about this upmarket chain. If you love love LOVE lobster, this place is a must try. The only reason I'm giving this a 3 instead of a usual 4 is that I got a violent upset tummy shortly after leaving the restaurant and I question how sanitary the servers are. So let me break it down: Food: The food tasted as good as it looked: steamed lobster with herb and lemon butter all the way. They only serve three main items: burger, lobster (steamed or grilled), and lobster roll. Albeit, a simple menu, I just find it weird there isn't a menu for me to hold or look at when I sit down. This caused further confusion, because my friend misheard the desserts and ordered something completely different to what she thought it was. They were nice enough to take it off the cheque though. Service: The servers were really understanding and patient with us. One thing my friend pointed out was that the servers (at this branch anyway) were a bit too friendly with each other, and we saw them slapping each other butts. I thought nothing of it, but to people who are germ-a-phoebes, like the friends I was with, did not find it amusing. After all, they do touch people's food in between joking around and slapping each others bums. Perhaps that was the reason why I got sick Overall, I don't think I'll be coming back on my own volition; but if someone really wanted to go, I wouldn't mind tagging along.

I thought that the concept for this place is pretty good. And I didn't think that £20 was too bad for half a lobster, garlic butter sauce, chips and salad. I'd never actually eaten lobster before and neither had my dinner companions so we were all excited to try. I thought that it was very good however I soon discovered that my favourite part of the meal was the salad. I guess I prefer lobster cooked differently, not on its own. The service was very good, we were served pretty quickly and left pretty quickly however they took ages to seat us even though we booked the table beforehand. And I also told them that it was my sister's birthday and normally, some restaurants do a little dessert or a drink and this is the first time that I have been to a restaurant and they have done nothing. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.

Tucked away in a side street near Oxford circus is the 6th branch of burger and lobster. We were tempted to pay a visit during the opening weeks by the offer of a free cocktail and besides we needed to eat! I arrived around 6pm to a virtually empty restaurant, by 7pm the place was full. So if you do not want to join the unpredictable waiting list for a table get there early for dinner. The format is the same as the other branches there is no food menu, there are 3 choices all served with the same 2 sides of fries and green salad for a fixed price of £20 1) Steamed or grilled lobster 2) lobster roll 3) Burger Having previously tried the unhealthy but quite tasty lobster roll on my last visit to a B&L, I returned to my usual of steamed lobster with garlic butter. This was served piping hot, the lobster meat was moist and crunchy. Service was very friendly and attentive. The server recommended cocktails based on our taste preference and checked that we were happy with the cocktails. As I like sweet cocktails I selected the 'dean street breeze' a mixture of beefeater gin, mango, cucumber and soda - this was a sweet and refreshing choice. The new Fitzrovia branch of B&L is one of the better branches, the lobster was cooked perfectly on this visit. It is less busy than soho and has bigger capacity than Mayfair so you are more likely to get a table quickly.

This place is so good!! I've been wanting to try Burger and Lobster for a while now after hearing really good things about it. My husband and I were shopping late at Oxford Circus and realized that this branch was nearby, so we wandered on over. We were seated right away and ordered a cocktail and a beer before deciding on what to eat. This place doesn't have a menu but serves just three dishes; the lobster roll, whole lobster or a burger. All at £20 a dish, served with a salad and fries. We ordered one grilled lobster and one steamed lobster, getting both the regular butter and garlic and lemon sauce. The lobster was a really good size (I think 1.5lb) and tasted amazing. The steamed lobster was more juicy than the grilled, so I'd order that one next time. For dessert we had the chocolate and vanilla ice cream and an espresso. The ice cream was surprisingly delicious! It had a biscuit layer on the bottom, with chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream, topped with brownie pieces and caramel. Yum! The espresso had a really nice intensity too and exceeded my expectations. Overall I thought it was fantastic value and a delicious treat- my only criticism would be that they seemed a bit short on servers. I would definitely come back!

If there was one reliable, moorish, consistent, drool worthy, simple, tasty, cannot go wrong that it'll make you go weak at the knees when it arrives at your table meal.... then it's at Flat Iron's older brother. Lobster Roll went down the pipe faster than Usain Bolt running the 100m. Smashed it.

We ordered the beef & lobster burger and lobster roll, the roll is good (4 out of 5) and the burger is better, the mix of beef and seafood is juicy and refreshing

Birthday celebration ! My friend recommended that I should try this place, it was by default I had chosen to come here with my guest, because the other restaurant wasn't helpful but I was very happy I went here instead. We ordered from the waiter who told us what is only served @ burger & lobster. So the offer we went with was two sharing a lobster, having your own burger, fries, salad and desert for £60. Trust me it was well worth it, the amount of food to eat was a lot but it was really tasty. Me and guest will be going back very soon. Staff was friendly and wasn't rushing you to leave. Cocktail was really good a reasonable price Friends and staff surprise me with my birthday cake and wishes, a really good meal shared with loved ones! Great night.

What is cool about this place is that, they don't have a menu. Its a simple 3 dishes: Lobster (grilled or steamed), a lobster roll or a steak beef burger. However - the entire menu is PRICY. The restaurant is pretty chilled out and rustic which is the cool thing about it. Also, you get an apron when you are seated so that you can truly indulge. We were waited on by the Manager, Fabio, who was incredible and made sure we got the full B&L experience. So friendly and funny! Now, for the important bit. Yes - the lobster was amazing, especially with the lemon and butter dip - omg and their fries are just pure perfection in my opinion, thin and crispy. The second dish pictured is the lobster roll and its my favourite! The bread goes perfectly with the lobster and sauce they use. So tender and and extremely filling. Personally, I would get this over the lobster although both are very delicious. Instagram: timeforseconds

I had…read moreread about this restaurant in some top 10 lists for foodies visiting London and was dying to check it out. First, it's not in the busy part of London where you would expect a restaurant of this caliber to be but rather it is in a very blue-collar neighborhood on the south side of London. It is a VERY cozy place with only seven tables but that is how they keep the quality and experience so great. The decor is as if you are on an old fishing ship. Reservations are highly recommended but we got there right when they opened (7pm) and thankfully they let us have a table. After being seated the hostess showed us the days specials and they ranged from fantastic scallops to lobster with every choice as good as the last. My wife and I chose the Chef's Choice 8 course dinner. The dinner comprised of a delicious sardine sandwich followed by a fillet of night perch which was then followed by lobster that melted in your mouth. Then we had a pallet cleanser of a light peach sorbet with a shot of vodka poured over it. The meal resumed with a grilled piece of pork belly (I got the "meat" choice) while my wife had a grilled hallibut (she got the "fish" choice). The next course was a warmed cheese (I believe it was gruyere) in pastry accompanied by a small mixed green salad with aged balsamic. The dessert courses were a delicious crepe with creme bruille filling and the end course was a pear puree along with a chocolate pudding with a hint of mint. We loved this place even though the name sort of threw us off at first. When you hear "The Lobster Pot" I imagine a bunch of seniors getting off a day-tour bus to a casino at a truck stop or something but this experience was far from what I first imagined. I would highly recommend spending some of your tourist dollars here at this restaurant.

A delightfully decorative place complete with seagulls singing sea shanty classics on loop. Terrified but glorious goldfish adorning the cabin window walls, really every maritime detail had been thought of, even staff in cabin costumes, it was as cheesy as the lobster Thermidor. So fun. I loved being bibbed up too, I like knowing things are gonna get messy. The Meli, a melee of seafood; half lobster, sea bass, spicy grilled perch, razor clam (touch over done), squid kebab (could've been flavoured more) but all in a sea of buttery champagne and avruga sauce. No tide could hold me back from wanting to lick my plate or use this as a moisturiser, oh my golly so delicious. It came served with enough perfectly cooked veg that my mother would approve of too. Soft butter, less surprise from the proprietor at our arrival and this place would have had a perfect score. Overall our waitress was lovely and the food was really darn good.

Our server Ali came out to take our order and helped service us through the evening. I am in hospitality so I know great service, finding out she is a manager made sense as you could tell by her passion, humbleness and approachabbility, you can definitely tell her energy and personality differed from the floor and shown as a great leader and that attitude you cannot teach and fake. As for the food, the zucchini or courgette(however you call it) was clean, thinly sliced with a smoked flavor without a burn mark on it. The Iberico secreto was great and if you haven't tried Iberico, its a game changer as I am a pork conssieuer. It's the Japanese wagyu of pork. A little goes a long way and I had my fair share of wagyu. Basque cheesecake was creamy and cheesy and different. Would recommend trying it once as I see this all over menus with Spanish influence restaurants Ask for Ali, trust me on this. Even if you don't like the food, the service will make the experience.
