This restaurant is on the fifth floor of a food court area. Service was very lackluster. We had asked if we could get a booth but the front hostess said booths were only for parties of 3 or more. Yet, I see her seat a couple in the booth 15 minutes later. We went on a Wednesday night, and it wasn't even crowded with plenty of seats. The quality of the lobster was not good. I noticed the center of the lobster tail was a bit undercooked and didn't taste fresh. Also, the claws were very dry. I ended up getting a really bad stomachache after dinner that lasted the entire next day. Maybe I just got a bad lobster, I don't know. But for me, the burger was the only thing that was tasty here. All I can say is that I have tasted very fresh, juicy lobster at other restaurants compared to this place. This restaurant is located atop Harvey Nichols store in Knightsbridge area. Twin to Fifth Ave/New York or Rodeo/LA. The menu and prices follow suit. With that said, we had a great time. The bar seats about 8 and serves full menu. The atmosphere centers around The seafood selection on ice and in tanks. The servers were engaging and humerous. The beer was cold and drinks well mixed. Food is pretty good here. We had the lobster salad 38£ and the burger. Both were tasty but salad was pretty small considering the price It was enough for me but there could've been more lettuce. I really like this place when I tried it about 5 years ago and definitely had to come back. The lobster roll is REALLY good and plentiful. Fries were okay but upgrade to the truffle fries in my opinion. I ordered the passion fruit mojito mock tail, a bit on the tart side but good, too much damn ice but I guess how they substitute for the liquid portion. I'd say make reservations unless you care to wait. The greeters one in particular, wish I remembered her name she was so unpleasant and uninterested in helping anyone it seemed like, I'm fact why was she at work cause she seemed to have no enjoyment on her face or tone. First time eating at Burger and Lobster, but certainly not the last! I found the restuarant by searching Yelp for restaurants near the Museum of Natural History (about a 17 minute walk) and it was well worth it. At first I didn't realize the restaurant was in Harvey Nichol's department store, but once inside (and after a shopping detour because many clothing items were on sale for up to 70% off!), it was fairly easy to find. I ordered a lobster roll (no sides) and the best thing about it was the buttery, toasted bun plus tasty lobster and sauce! Honestly, I had already eaten lunch maybe two hours before and the lobster roll still hit just right (I didn't feel stuffed). My friend ordered a burger with a side of truffle fries. I didn't taste it, but the burger was so juicy that she got lipstick all over her teeth and chin! I also saw drippings as the cut into it! I was in a bit of a rush, so I asked our server how long our order would take to come out of the kitchen. He said 12 minutes, and from what I could tell, he was spot on. I've heard amazing things about this place so it was only fitting that while in London for the first time that I came here to see what the hype was all about. I was not disappointed and the hype is real. The food was amazinggggg and the drinks were delicious. I ordered the B&L combo which consisted of a 1lb lobster and 5oz burger. Served with lemon and garlic butter, fries and a garden salad. This combo cost about 34 pounds. When the food arrived it almost looked too beautiful to eat. The burger was perfectly cooked, seasoned, juicy, just pure perfection. You can choose between having you lobster grilled or steamed, I choose to have mine steamed and it was delicious. The lemon and garlic butter complimented the lobster well, I also used it as a dipping sauce for my fries. The drinks taste as good as they look and I must say they deliver a beautiful presentation when it comes to their drinks as well. The first drink I had was the "smoke & fire" which was overall good but the second drink "Pistol punch" was the best by far, so good! If you're ever in London I would highly recommend coming here for both the food and drinks. read more

This mall restaurant is pretty decent on the 5th floor of the Harvey! At first glance before walking in it looks small, but once you step in it's a good size. We had the grilled king prawns, juicy and not overcooked seasoned well as we were able to taste the smoked paprika and the garlic. They come with toasted sourdough which does not disappoint! We also shared the B&L burger which was very tasty, the only reason why I gave a 4 stars instead of 5..the lobster pieces on the burger was overcooked and while the idea of having lobster on the burger sounds good there are far too many stronger flavored toppings on the burger so it really masks the lobster. The main flavors you taste is the brie and the truffle, the terragon mayo was fantastic at pulling it all together. The beef patty was seasoned and had its own smokey flavor profile. I was disappointed at not being able to really taste the lobster but the over grilled aspect was worse. Tenderstem broccoli and the truffle fries are great choices, they were all cooked perfectly and oh so flavorful! Come hungry and enjoy! read more

Make your way to Harvey Nichols (again, mingling with locals and tourists alike), take the elevator up to the fifth floor, and get seated. if there's a wait, wander around on the fifth floor. There's a food hall here, and you can observe other visitors or flip through some reading material. Order the lobster roll. The lobster meat is fresh, succulent, and tender -- while I would have liked a bit more lobster, the garlic butter on the side is so good that it should be illegal. I was also surprised by how good the dressing on the side salad was. London is a melting pot of cultures and I love being reminded of this whenever I'm out and about. However, I didn't love being charged for tap water, but I guess that was just a reminder that I wasn't in the States anymore. read more

I am a big fan of lobster, we were a party of 5 having a late lunch. 3 of us ordered a lobster roll, and its to die for, plump delicious lobster meat in the roll, came with a buttery sauce that was great and instead of fries we ordered greens, which came in a very small cup so definitely not a place to order a salad haha. One of us had a whole lobster and loved it. Truffle fries for the table was definitely worth it. Service was excellent. Prices were up there but not obscene. I swear I had the most delicious burger here! And the staff was pretty great, too. My choice was the lobster burger: 6oz burger topped with lobster meat, brie, truffle & tarragon mayo, fennel and Chinese cabbage. The flavors were great! Somehow lobster and beef marries well. I didn't taste the Chinese cabbage as much, but it was still delicious. The menu is limited and simple. I think this helps them succeed in executing consistently and quickly. We really don't need a hundred things on the menu and they offer what they say: burgers and lobster. You can get them together, or not and choose just a burger or just some lobster! (they also have a bean burger) I also loved my cider there which was local, Aspall Suffolk draught cyder. Just cause I was enjoying everything so much, I started chatting with the manager as he passed by about how good my experience was and how I can see how the execution is so well and understanding the concept, overall positive stuff - he was so kind and said, can I buy you (and your friend) another drink? The menu was simple. It was a variation of Lobster and burgers, lobster rolls, and some appetizers. You would think the simplicity of the menu would make it so much easier to order but it didn't. I went with the B&L combo ( burger and lobster) because why not..... when in London.. Go big or go home. I didn't realize how much food it really was. It came with not only the lobster and burger but also fries and a salad! Both my friend and I ended up ordering the same thing. I got grilled lobster while she had hers steam. O M G.... the food was so amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the lobster tasted delicious with the garlic butter sauce. It was a mission to eat all my food. But there was no way that I wasn't going to make that happen. The lobster had a slight grill taste which was the perfect amount. My friend enjoyed the salad (I never made it that far) and the fries were really good. We ordered drinks, I had the Pistol Punch which reminds me of a version of Caribbean Rum Punch. It was not only delicious but a very beautifully decorated drink. My friend started off with the Fire and Ice drink which she also enjoyed but she switched over to the Pistol Punch. We had a great dinner and were pretty much in a coma by the time we were leaving. The service was really good and the food was even better. The drinks were the icing on the cake. We didn't realize when we booked this place we were saving the best restaurant for last on our trip. We love a good lobster roll and have eaten some of the best in the world but WOW the food here blew us away. It was a little tricky to find at first. I hadn't realized it was in the Harvey Nichols store but it was easy to find after that. We were seated really quickly but it was a little slow getting a waitor to fill up water, take our order, etc. The waitor was really nice and it was busy so I didn't hate the guy but that was the one negative. I ordered the lobster roll and my husband got the lobster burger. The roll, with its perfectly cooked bread, heaps of lobster, and warm butter was on point. But ignore it. You have no choice but to get the Lobster Burger. It MELTED in my mouth. Best burger I've ever had! The lobster, and the meat, and the cheese, and maybe some truffle in there too? Ugh HEAVEN. After working up an appetite window shopping at Harvey Nichols (& nearby Harrod's), we decided to have lunch at B&L located on their 5th floor collection of eateries. The £25 lobster roll is jam packed with lobster -- definitely no skimping here. He chose a combo with the split lobster cooked two ways: grilled & steamed. I tried a forkful of the grilled & it was firm & delicious. Lovely butter sauce was sprinkled with chives & had a hint of garlic. Positive remarks for his burger, as well. It's no small triumph that they do both items named in their brand smashingly. Friendly waitress; nice vibe & bustling atmosphere; a good place to re-energize & be off your feet for a little while. I was in London for a couple of days before heading to Amsterdam. I was looking for a place for dinner and found it on Yelp. There were good reviews, and it was walking distance where I was, so I decided to try it out. I arrived here around 5:30pm and didn't have to wait to be seated, but the restaurant was busy. The menu was very simple and easy to see. I was craving a burger, so I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. I asked veggies on side, and they also separated sauce from a bun. My burger was perfectly cooked, and the patty was very tender and flavorful. The sauce was very good and went well with my burger. I don't like leaving 1* review BUT i feel like it's a must in this occasion. Let me start with staff, which i'm not sure what personal problems they have or they just plainly hate they're job. As the service was HORRIBLE! Almost like they were trying to make a joke out of us... Never we felt so unwanted and unattained in restaurant ever. Saying that service was "non- existing" would be understatement and perhaps a compliment. Rather would have take the food and utensils ( which also were missing), my self. We thought that only us happened to be unfortunate by this "service" but as history in reviews show's that problems with unprofessional staff is clearly a long going problem. This restaurant only offers three meals: The Traditional Lobster Roll with Fries and a Small Salad, a Grilled or Broiled Lobster with Fries and a Small Salad, or a Burger with Fries (and perhaps the same Small Salad). While it was surprising to not have a menu offered to us when we sat down the small selection made the ordering of our meal very easy. What's more, the food came out relatively quickly and you would hope so! If you only serve three meals "they sho nuff betta be good"!! Yes, I meant it that way! The food WAS awesome and we enjoyed everything (totally pushing to the back of our mind that the meal was priced in POUNDS)! Well this is such a fun find. I know London is the place for fish and chips and bangers and mash but something has changed and they are putting some foodies in charge of the food. We decided on the combo lobster and burger and wow oh wow were we glad we did. It was all cooked perfectly. We had a martini to start with and I must say it wasn't the best... but I think London town likes gin martini's over vodka so it is our fault for ordering a drink from our home town. It's our fourth day in London and we decided to try out this place. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. Lucky us! As I walked by the restaurant the other day, the queue was so long that I couldn't even see the end of it. They don't have a food menu, our server (very nice guy) explained to us what food they were serving. Basically, we can choose grilled/steamed whole lobster, lobster sandwich or the normal beef burger. The lobster sandwich was just fabulous, lobster meat mixed with their special dressing with crispy grilled white bread. I just can't stop eating, and the fries were just how it should be - crispy yet soft in the side. The burger, not as exciting as the lobster sandwich but it was not bad at all. Extremely attentive and service oriented, not to mention the food was amazing as well! We are planning to visit again before we leave London. read more
