Great ambiance. Great food. The food came out fairly quickly. The lobster roll was delicious, moist, and toast was hot and crunchy. The fries were fresh and crispy. And that drink was really refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. It was just the pick me up I needed before going across the way to shop.

The first time I went to a Burger & Lobster was in NYC. I fell in love there. However, while the NYC one offers all their meals with fries and a side salad, it seems over here, they are a bit more choosy. I opted for the 1.75 lobster - worth every bite but also around $65 for just the lobster. They do cut it in half for you, so it's easier to eat! The garlic butter is also divine, so dip away! My friend ordered the burger and lobster roll, and couldn't shut up about the roll. The fries are always a solid side item here - like McDonald's fries on crack. Also dipping in the butter. The side salad is a nice choice too. Plenty of seating and friendly enough service. I dislike the automatic 12.5% gratuity, as I never even got 1 refill on my water. You can sit at the bar while you wait. They know how to make a pretty decent drink as well!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Burger & Lobster is one of my favorite restaurant in London. We ordered the lobster roll & the whole lobster. Lobster is cooked to perfection - It's sweet and tender. The Butter is one of the most popular additions to lobster. It makes the meat a bit moist and highlights the flavor of the seafood YUM The lobster roll was sweet, delicate in flavor, with big chunks of tender meat! Definitely coming back!! In the past, both the burger and the lobster at Burger and Lobster cost £20 each. Unfortunately, times have changed. The former was a rip-off and the latter was a steal, so they've since evened it out at £16 and £27, respectively. Regardless, I've been told that the lobster is still the thing to get here, so that's what I decided on. I thought that the food was standard stuff, to be honest. The lobster itself was quite fresh, but nothing to write home about. It came with a side of salad and chips, which were both pretty ordinary. They do offer a choice of either plain clarified or lemon garlic butter - you know which one to pick.

The lobster roll is an interesting dish. It definitely looks beautiful. The lobster itself is cold but tastes good with butter. The restaurant is very American style. Feel like we are in New York.

Yummmm!!!! £20 (before service charge) for a lobster!!! What a bargain!!! My favourite, get a whole lobster, grilled with lemon garlic butter!!! Tyyyuuuummm'n! Dessert is real cheap as well and tasty £5! Coffee just £3! Just go, don't read reviews and ponder. Just go!

The lobster roll is simply mouth watering and delicious! Even the buttery toasted bun that it comes in is the best bun I've ever had! I got the California Lobster Roll and it was amazing. Definitely worth every penny... or English pound! It comes with a side salad and some fries. We also shared the Chili Lobster that comes with rice. A bit messy because the shells are on but it's finger licking good! This location was walking distance from our hotel in St. Paul's area. If only we had an extra day in London I definitely would had visit once more before coming home.

The Mon-Friday lunch deal of a whole lobster with salad and fries for £20 is a nice deal. Tho lobster was small but it is quite fresh with source. There's also the option to grill half and steam the other half.

Best lobster roll I've ever eaten, good fries and nice atmosphere! Highly recommend if you are visiting. We received great service.

I know £20 for a Burger, Lobster, or Lobster Roll may seem a bit steep. Add an hour wait on top of that and it makes it an even slippier slope, but damn this place makes me happy. I've never been to this location before. I was crossing my fingers that it wouldn't be as busy as its' Soho counterpart, but I was wrong. I was quoted over an hour wait, so my friends and I decided to head to the pub while we waited to be called. I'm pretty sure it was about an hour when they called us back and we got a nice table in the front. We ordered more cocktails and decided which one of the three things we wanted to order. This was my fourth time at B&L, and I've never had a lobster roll all to myself so I decided that the lobster roll would be on my dinner itinerary this night. What I really like about B&L is that they really have the concept of turnover time down. I mean, you wait an hour to get seated, but the food comes out pretty fast. I say within ten minutes you've got your giant platter in front of you. If you wanted to, you could literally be in and out within 30 minutes (from the time you get seated to the time you've fully engulfed your burger/lobster/lobster roll because you've been STARVING after having to wait for an hour to get seated). You may think that £20 is a lot to ask for, but let me suggest that you should bring two friends and try everything. B&L is even nice enough to cut it in thirds for you. Oh yeah, did you also know that the fries and salad are also unlimited? It's not something they outwardly advertise, but now that you're in the know, might as well take advantage and get your £20 worth.

This place was so good, I'm dying just thinking about it! My friends and I stumbled upon it when one of them recognized it as a recommendation from one of her friends back home. So, we decided to stop by and give it a try. I mean, who doesn't love burgers and lobster? As soon as we walked in, we could kind of tell it was a little more upscale than we were expecting. However, we were seated right away at a big, comfy booth. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and our server was really nice. When we opened the menu, we were definitely not expecting the prices... 25 pounds for a lobster roll?! But my friend had heard great things about the restaurant and we all decided it was okay to splurge for some seafood. We all got a lobster roll, except for one of my friends who got a burger. The lobster rolls come with fries, a small side salad, and seasoned melted butter. Everything was DELICIOUS. The lobster roll was definitely the star of the show - it was perfection! The lobster was amazing, especially with the melted butter drizzled over it. And even the roll part was to die for. I don't know what type of bread they use, but we all literally ate every last bite. Those lobster rolls totally left us wanting more. I had to hold myself back from literally stuffing the whole thing into my mouth. My one friend also really enjoyed his burger... Anyways, I'd say besides the price range, this place was awesome. I'd DEFINITELY recommend the lobster rolls to any seafood fans.

It's the lobster not the burger you need to try at the burger and lobster.
    Emmanuel A.

Like I said in my tip its the lobster not the burger you need to try. This is a newer branch to the more popular farringdon branch. Hence why you really see people who work in offices and business around the area winning and dinning or you see those that were unable to get a seat without booking at the farringdon branch dinning here. Regardless of the type of people here what you will find us a less busy quieter branch for the time being at least. Now I've never had a lobster before and I know what a beef burger is about even with or without the bacon slices to add. My seafood experience is limited to salmon and prawns, but boy, when I tried that HUGE grilled lobster it was very much like eating a meaty piece of prawn that you can really sink your teeth into. The claws and shells are a part if the added fun when searching for the remaining pieces of lobster on your plate. I very much enjoyed the pick-fork they gave to hammer down on those difficult shells for my hidden treasures of meat. The accompaniment of chips and salad were good and substantial but nothing really to write home about, but like I said its the lobster you need to be eating here. When my colleges were finished with there burgers they just sat there looking at me enjoying my lobster searching through the shells for more juicy succulent lobster meat, which I was enjoying immensely. The next time I go I am definitely trying a whole lobster to myself as I belief I can do it, I can finish it, I can devour the whole lobster plus my sides of salad and fries.

The lobster roll, comes with side salad, fries and a yum butter garnish for dipping/drinking....whatev.

Pretty solid spot. Have been to a few locations in London and they're all consistent -- good food, ambiance, crowd and service. Have had both the burger and the lobster roll, highly recommend the latter. The toasted roll and side of melted butter are perfect, comes with a side of crispy fries and a small salad for a balance of yum and food groups. Have to give a hat tip to the service as everyone is friendly and super on top of things.

The location is fantastic, the customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable breakfast. I started with a cappuccino and added salted caramel, but honestly, the cappuccino was so good it didn't even need it. It was smooth, rich, and perfectly made on its own. For breakfast, I ordered the Eggs Benedict. They offer two versions: one with pulled beef and one Florentine. As someone from the US who's a bit of an Eggs Benedict snob, I've tried countless versions over the years, and pulled beef just wasn't something I could picture working with it. I went with the Florentine and customized it by adding bacon, avocado, and a side of sausage. One thing I've learned while visiting the UK is that the sausages are much larger than what I'm used to back home! I honestly could have skipped it because it was so filling. The Benedict itself was unique--the base was almost like a buttery croissant instead of a traditional English muffin, and it came with pickled red onions, which was an interesting touch. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and I especially enjoyed it with the added bacon. The food was fresh, high quality, and beautifully prepared. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, but I chose to sit outside and enjoy some people watching, which made for a relaxing start to the day. Overall, a great breakfast spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

I wanted something with at least one good veggie option, they wanted something with meat, and it had to be somewhere in-between Camden and Canary Wharf, not too pricey, and ideally close to the city because otherwise our Italian friend probably wouldn't make it. And lo and behold.... THE FAT BEAR!!! It was all we wanted and more! This place is sort of tucked away and up some stairs above a pub. It's really just a room and a half, which makes it super cozy and they have a pretty awesome looking bar. It's got warm lighting which makes the atmosphere really nice. Their cocktails were delightful and the service was excellent. I will make a very strange observation that someone working there had a very drunk friend who just sort of made herself at home. Then more joined and it turned into me watching this table of really really drunk people trying to order food. Two of them ended up just falling asleep. It was super strange. Anyway, me being distracted aside, I really loved the cocktail I ordered- Sloe Boat To China, and everyone else seemed happy with theirs. I was dying to try the pimiento cheese starter and the fried pickles. The cheese was particularly sharp and delicious. The pickles were good, but quite skinny (I mean come on, you're in an American restaurant I was expecting some serious pickles). The vegan gumbo was super spicy and delicious. I was impressed and enjoyed it. My husband dropped the ball and ordered the regular jambalaya (with sausage) rather than the seafood one which broke my heart a little bit, because I really wanted to try it. You know, I guess that means we'll just have to come back. Oh also another bonus, this place has brisket which is really hard to find. I can't say how it tastes but my friend said he defo approves (am I becoming more British with these words, or just more annoying?) Anyway, to finish it off I had the oreo cheesecake which the bomb. I love oreos. And it tasted like oreo. So all was right with the world. A wonderful place to come if you have people who want to try American food, or if you have out of town Americans who are too scared to try other food, or if you have hungry friends that want to try cajun food, or if you just want to try some really yummy food.

My partner and I visited on New Years Eve. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but the music playing was primarily American rock - like The Eagles, Neil Young, etc. It's fine, but not very in line with the classic, upscale feel. The bartending staff was top notch. I had a martini and my partner had a house Manhattan, both were perfect. We shared the iceberg wedge to start, a personal favorite, and this one was spot on. Great bleu cheese dressing, still warm lardons, and crispy, fresh iceberg lettuce. For mains, I ordered the aged Irish ribeye and chose to have it "gorgonzola encrusted". This was the first misstep. First of all, the grass fed beef stands on its own, I would never choose to add a sauce, but this was encrusted, right? Not so much. Here's the definition of encrusted from the Oxford dictionary: "Covered or decorated with a HARD surface layer". What I received was a steak smothered in (a very lovely) gorgonzola SAUCE with some bacon and spring onions. Had I known it was a sauce, I would have skipped it, or at the very least had it served on the side. Slightly disappointing, but the steak was perfectly medium rare and delicious. My partner ordered the hake. It was served with a prawn and a very tasty tarragon pesto. She said the pesto was the star. The fish was delicate and also well prepared. We shared sauteed spinach and roasted mushrooms, both delicious. For dessert we shared the banana and toffee mousse. This was the second misstep. This was a tasty dessert, but it was definitely not mousse. It was a very small sliver of banana bread (?). It had strong banana flavor and was served with rum raisin ice cream which was nice. It was also thankfully a very small portion as we were stuffed. Overall, a very decadent and elegant meal to ring in the new year!
