A cute hidden gem. Plenty of truck and RV parking in the back. They are open for breakfast. I had the special. Which was 2 eggs. Choice of meat. And choice of biscuits and gravy or grits. And coffee for $5. What a great place to stop. Service was fantastic

Stopped here on our way down back home to miami, great service, amazing burgers and lovely dining area!

First place we ate after coming off the road traveling, food was good, so was the desert. Didn't have to wait too long on our food.

Mmmmmm....OMG! We had intentions of driving to Mocksville to try this out for months and today was…read morethe day. It was a little hard to find because a road is closed in the vicinity but we were able to find it using the Waze app. The building itself is a large steel structure which has been nicely finished on both inside and out. We arrived about 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted. We were taken to a booth and there were a couple of other tables seated. Immediately, you could tell this was a family run business with multiple generations pitching in. The young man who took our drink order was friendly and efficient. They have quite a few taps on the back wall but they were not in service and therefore were only offering cans and bottles. The menu says they currently have malfunctions with their cooler. We were given time to peruse the menu but were checked in on to ensure we didn't have questions. The menu offers burgers, fries and dogs but they are all elevated. There are some very creative and special combinations which as the asterisk notates on the menu some items are unable to be changed. We decided to start with the pub bucket, which offers steak fries along with melted cheddar cheese and ranch. My wife ordered the Elvis burger which features bourbon glazed apples, peanut butter, banana chutney and cheddar cheese. I chose the Godfather which features salami, pepperoni and mozzarella, and I chose to get the creamy garlic pesto on the side. My wife went to use the restroom and on her way back she reported that it was very clean and she happened to notice their recent state inspection certificate boasted an impressive 99.5! Our appetizer arrived in a timely manner and while it looked different (we are used to restaurants serving fries with cheese melted with a side of ranch) this had the fries topped with cheese and the ranch poured on top. But let me tell you they were delicious! Lots of heavenly cheddar cheese which was perfectly melted and gooey topped with delicious ranch dressing. Our burgers arrived shortly afterwards and are wrapped up when served. We began to unwrap and they also looked delicious. My wife immediately started eating hers while my camera ate first. My wife commented that her burger was absolutely delicious and said she was a bit iffy at first on the cheddar cheese being served with the sweet toppings but was happy to report she thought it worked perfectly and she was glad she didn't alter the burger. My burger was a double and huge! Since I had asked for the aoili on the side because I am not a mayo guy and while it was very good I should have asked for some ketchup to dip my burger in. I enjoyed it alot and saved half for later. My wife had her eye on the apple ring sundae. It is Granny Smith apple rings, sliced and cored and dipped in cinnamon sugar and deep fried, topped with vanilla ice cream and cool whip and drizzled with homemade caramel sauce. She ordered the half version which includes three rings. It took a little longer for the dessert to arrive because by this time they had started to get busy with a majority of the inside tables full as well as a few outdoor tables and several to go orders. The dessert arrived and my wife was happy to report it was also delicious. So glad we finally stopped in and we already have talked about our next time. It was apparent from our time there that they have a following and it is easy to see why. We did ask about onion rings and were told they plan to bring back again in the fall. Awesome service, creative menu, clean and family run. Plan your visit!

Awesome place!!! Service was exceptional and food was absolutely delicious. I'm not gluten free,…read morebut seeing SO many options for GF is very rare and a super cool thing for them to do. The Philly steak wonton appetizer - incredible. The burger was one of the best that I've had in a long time. The bun was so soft and fresh, the patty itself was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and of course with fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinegar, you can never go wrong. We will 100% be back whenever we're in the area!! The menu is huge, there are so many things I'd love to try!

So no glass was poured by server for a satisfactory nod. When he walked away we poured ourselves a bit and then tasted. It tasted like pure vinegar. I received no cooperation when speaking about the situation, only a "I just work here, and I doubt the owner will do anything for you." I brought over half a bottle home just so my husband could confirm the nastiness of it, which he did. My suspicion is that the wine I ordered was replaced by some horrible low cost wine that had gone bad. Will not repeat this mistake. Just stick with the water. Also, meat was cooked medium well, not medium and my co-diner had to ask for the black bean patty she ordered because it was missing from her sandwich.

This was the spot! I got a double cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Just enough pink without being 'undercooked'. It was delicious. I also got a hot dog, a Carolina dog it was called. The coleslaw on top was crispy and delicious! The other ingredients on it were perfectly portioned so nothing overpowered the hotdog at all; everything on it complimented the dog so very well. My wife got a Cuban burrito and absolutely loved it! Our party got some other hotdogs and burgers; all happy campers! Along with the burritos they brought chips; which tasted homemade. They were crispy and fresh. Now this place is know for bringing some heat on their offerings; and we did not order anything hot or spicy like that. Maybe next time! Other than that - this place was a treat. For seven of us the tab was under 100$ - which lately - that is a bargain. (For comparison when we were on the road - we stopped at a WaffleHouse which brought the tab to $104; and their food is hot garbage). So in summary - a 10/10 dining experience which we'll be excited to come back to! I should have taken pictures; but, I think the ones online do a sufficient job. I'll take some photos next trip! Thank you FSBWB! We can't wait to come back!

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

Such a cute, easy lunch spot in Boone and honestly, I loved it. My husband thought it was…read more"average," but in fairness, I ordered what he always calls girl food -- bright, fresh, crunchy, pickled, delicious -- and that's exactly what I got. We started with the pickled board, and it was just fun. A little bit of everything: pickled veggies, cucumbers with those pretty curls of onion, pimento cheese, bread, pork rinds, a little tomato jam. It felt like a Southern snack platter put together by someone who actually cares about balance and flavor. I ordered the pickled salad with chicken, and it was right up my alley. Fresh greens, great textures, pops of color, and the chicken was nicely seasoned and grilled. The dressing had that bright, tart thing going on that makes you want more of it. I would absolutely get this again. My husband got the Cassie salad, and while he said it was "fine," even he admitted everything was fresh and well done. The vibe here is relaxed, cozy, a little rustic, the kind of place that feels local in the best way. For a casual lunch in Boone, it hits the spot. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
