This is not a review from a customer, this is a review from a former employee. I have worked multiple jobs at deli's, restaurants, etc..and was appalled. I was hired on first meeting without a background check, and without a glance of my resume. My first shift there was 11 am to 11 pm without a break to pee, stretch, or take a drink. The wife, Kiersten, immediately expected me to pick up the menu prices and selections from a handwritten note on the wall. There is no tracking system for the orders other than handwritten numbers in the corner of handwritten tickets...its a very confusing and bad system. They also only operate with a pocket calculator so over charging and under charging is common. They pride themselves on cooking with all local sourced food when its all from costco. The burgers start at $7 and go up just to have customers wait 30 min...forget about toppings they charge extra. Good luck trying to not spend $50 for dinner. Anyway...I didnt receive my first paycheck for over a month, until I got the balls to ask for it. Jud, the other owner made me go to "gigs" with him, promising I would make bank in tips, which I didnt...it was basically just an excuse to get an employee to go out and make the business more money. While away at venues, he would buy underage girls/employees alcohol, shit on his wife and past employees.He drove us to gigs and made us smoke and drink before, while bragging about his criminal record. The night I quit I urged a friend who had just got hired to quit also because i was worried.They also have two twin two year old babies that they feed burgers, mozz sticks, etc from the barn....so unhealthy and sad. They make burger girls go check on their kids and feed them, but dont pay extra for babysitting. They cant keep staff and I wonder why!! It is terrifying, disgusting, and illegal how they treat employees. Do not eat here if you have morals. They have ripped their menu off of other businesses and put a new spin on it- not a unique taste of Vermont...try Burlington. read more

Burgers as they should be. Local organic grass fed beef burgers that ooze love and flavor. The onion rings are as big as bocci balls. Crispy first class taste treats. The Burger Barn is a food truck. It's only open in the summer and the only seating is the grass or some scattered picnic tables. But don't let that dissuade you. Go for the food and the fun summer feeling of eating french fries and gourmet burgers on the grass with your best buds. Been eating here for 3 summers. Friends drive out from Burlington just to lollygag in the grass and eat burgers like it was 1969 again. A perfect place to kick back and get your summer on. read more

Lots of parking, super easy ordering, and cash only. I got a veggie burger, mozzarella sticks, and fries. The veggie patty was fresh, but I must have chosen the wrong burger for it as the cheese was just way too over powering and greasy. The mozzarella sticks were very good but they didn't come with marinara sauce. The fries are only $2, massive serving, somewhat greasy. Overall you can eat vegetarian, but I would avoid the fries and choose a burger with minimal cheese. read more
