Walnut arugula goat cheese salad with chicken.

Barn look from the outside. Rustic on the inside. Food was good. It was late so there wasn't much ppl inside so less servers. But servers were nice and friendly. The butter pasta could have been seasoned a bit more. The grilled cheese was good. The pork chops were good. Kid approved.

Local well known establishment. Rustic atmosphere. Has pool table in back room for $1 per game. Great service. Enjoyed my duck entree as all enjoyed their medals. Kids menu. Great desserts! Plenty of parking. Some nights music.

Up in Vermont for a couple of days at Smugglers Notch and stopped in here to Martell's two nights back mostly because it just looked like a decent townie place. Glad we did. Skipped dining room seating and opted for the bar which was a great decision because we got to converse with owner / bartender Matt and some local residents. Had the pulled pork sandwich night #1 and it was out of the park. Everyone in our party was so pleased with our meals, the atmosphere and especially, the prices we said if we didn't find someplace else we'd come back the next night and in fact, did so! Had their steak tips w rice and broccoli the 2nd visit and that was actually the best well cooked broccoli I've had. The tips were fire and I clean elf my plate in minutes. Again, entertained and engaged with owner Matt and another batch of engaging and friendly Vermonters we silently considered if we should enjoy their lunch menu too. Well, as it happened the weather was foul our next day and out of laziness and a desire for more good food; we wound up butts in the seats one more time at Martells. And even severely understaffed Matt and his one cook still pushed out one of the fattest, well cooked Hamburgers w bacon and melted cheese I could've asked for on cool, dreary afternoon. No offense to any other eateries in the Smuggs area, but you could take a lesson from the Red Fox and a) be open early and b) don't close on Mondays and Tuesdays. Like I get it, Oct / Nov might be your slow months but Martell's is the place to get to if you're hungry and thirsty if you're in Jeffersonville VT

My family and I came here last night. I think since we were so hungry from our long drive yesterday , we just ate . We decided to get appetizers, and we got the loaded nachos with chicken. I thought the chicken was very dry and had no taste to them . The calmaria had a werid taste to it. I decided to get the baked mac and cheese, but it was very watery vs. chessey . My husband got the classic burger, but it was very dry, and he had to cut off the bacon because of so much fat on it. My mother got the Mac and cheese, and she said it tasted alright. My father got the shrimp scampi, and he said it was very delicious. We were shocked that when we received our check that they automatically charged us a tip, we were only a party of 4, and they charged us for a party of 6. I would avoid this place at all cost. Save your money. It was too expensive and very tasteless food.

    Tuna! Nothing like the photos.

we walked in around 3:30 for drinks and possibly an appetizer. greeted with "Do you have reservations " which i find off putting. we said no and was told that the only option was bar or the 5 stools on the wall. (we had our 16 year old, so stools it was.) we ordered two bottles of beer and a root beer...there were severas people at the bar and two tables of two. the drinks took 15 to 20 minutes. we had front row seats and around 4 pm we watched many people come only to be turned away. disappointing, not given an option to stay but there may be a wait, just we cannot acommodate you. if we were the owners we would have been horrified. We just ordered drinks and we felt like a burden. The second round took even longer along with an appetizer of tuna tartar. Again, it was two bottles of beer and a rootbeer. At 5 pm two new servers walked in. We had experienced enough in the hour and a half we were there. Definitely will not return, heard from reviews the food was good. The vibe and service were not worth returning for a second chance .

Great place not far from Smugglers notch resort. A nice change from the typical pub food or pizza that are offered at too many places. I was craving something non-fried and Asian - so I was so happy to see the Ahi tuna on their menu. They had a nice selection of food choices, from pasta to jambalaya. Everyone was really happy with the food. Nice portions, taste great, and reasonably priced. Kid's menu is only $6. Dessert is $6 for a slice of apricot cheesecake cake, soooo delicious! Fluffy cheesecake with bites of apricot. My daughter devoured it!! Loved their draft beer like the Stowe Cider and Switchback ale are under $6, hard to come by that price these days. What a gem. Oh, they also have a side room where you can play a game of pool ($1 per game honor system) away from the restaurant or bar crowd. We'll be coming back for more!

Food not great for the price. Little tiny hamburgers both brought well done even though we both ordered med or med rare. Fries good.

Workers were very friendly and welcoming inside. The inside had some bar seating and some table seating with someone playing piano. The menu has a variety of different sandwiches. I started with a hot chocolate and the elote dip. Hot chocolate was nothing special but was good on a cold day. The elote dip was delicious! Warm and cheesy! Yum! I then ordered the falafel pita. It wasn't my favorite. The falafel was crisp but I didn't love the homemade gluten free pita. It was not fluffy and was just kinda bland. The fries were made well! Thick and very crispy. Overall the atmosphere was nice.

So while on a trip and looking for a spot to grab some lunch naturally we ended up picking this spot. I've been aware of Lost Nation Brewing but it's been since 2016/2017 when I had a beer from them last. To start they have ample parking and have a nicely painted mural on the side of their building. They have an indoor section we did not check that out and instead sat at the bar in the outdoor section. How can you pass up looking into the kitchen and also the wafting scents of burgers, fries and everything else being cooked. Despite a chillier day than most we have had lately it was worth it! Besides their own brews they had guest taps, guest botttles/cans, and even some cocktails including some spiked apple cider for that fall feeling drink. For beer fans they even had a rotating Hillfarmstead DIPA for a guest tap. I ended up getting their Kolsch and my wife got their gose. Both very solid beers and worth grabbing. Food wise they had a couple burgers, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, turkey sandwich, hot dogs, and some small plates. My wife ended up choosing the burger and I got their fried chicken sandwich. She enjoyed the burger and thought it was cooked very well. The chicken sandwich was delicious, the fact it was smothered in honey did make it a bit messy to eat but tasted so good! The fries we got were massive and well seasoned and the side of pickles were great too. Would be a no brainer to get either one again if we visit again! Bartender was friendly and we didn't wait long at all for the drinks or food! Well made brews paired along side delicious food, really what more could you ask for? If you visit during warmer weather it appeared they have a huge outdoor area further back than we were in as well! If you like visiting breweries add this to your list to check out!

We left to go dine around 6:15pm at another establishment, but they were slammed. Went to another and it was more of a bar and they were also slammed. People eat early around here! My daughter in-law called ahead after we left the bar type restaurant and they had us a nice table waiting for us! Excellent atmosphere and the service was very friendly and welcoming. I think Billy was the name of our waiter but several of the other wait staff worked together to help him. Our dinners were all excellent and everyone enjoyed them. I had the pork chop and it was prepared perfectly and flavored well. Wife had the scallops with butternut squash and she raved about it. Can't remember what ther other three had. Excellent wine, Ken Write Cellars Pino Noir. So good we got another bottle to go.
