Great food, great service and awesome outdoor seating on Grand Ave the furthest East part of downtown Escondido has a gem of a burger/craft beer bar! Excellent chicken wings, chili and an amazing BBQ smokehouse burger that had thick cut bacon, a delicious 1/2 lbs burger patty topped with fried onion straws and a BBQ/Ranch sauce. Super delicious! Really good and the prices are great. They advertise that all of their products come from local markets. They have a fancy little natural soda machine. I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. I keep forgetting, even though this place has become one of my favorite burger/beer places to go! First of, the place has plenty of parking on the street. The seating is also plentiful. I don't think we've ever had to wait for seats. You order at the front and then it is self seating. I personally RECOMMEND sitting at the bar. You can chat with the bartenders and you might even get hooked up with some free beer! Beers are always rotating here and they always have a variety from the ciders to nitro stouts. They will also let you try out beer before you order one. You can order beer later at the bar and not just at the order counter. Food comes out fast and always meets expectations. Like it comes out looking exactly like the menu picture. It is always so consistent too. Even when you order it to-go, you will not be disappointed. Check them out on the weekends too for breakfast. The breakfast burritos are awesome. My girlfriend and I have tried them all. One of my favorite restaurant/bars ever! read more

Although they are known for their burgers, I would have to say my first experience was standard but nothing special from the rest of the gourmet burger places. The Sunrise Burger was my selection for this visit. It contained your Med Rare Burger Pattie with bacon, tator tots, bacon, and cheese. I'm not gonna lie my review of the place is pretty 50/50. While I did enjoy the food and beer a lot actually ( props to the beer guy and cook that day ) I did not enjoy the service nor the establishment. The blonde lady at the counter was obviously either high or drunk and was not very helpful in helping my wife and I decide what to get that day. And the place was kind of filthy. Trash and food on the ground. We parked in the back and I was surprised that there was no back entrance since the front has no parking at all. Damn this place serves a mean burger! I had the mushroom swiss(bomb) and my girlfriend had the Classic w/ bacon. Both of them were awesome, super melty cheese! They were slow when we went there but the food was still fast and fresh! Clutch beer selection as well. On top of all of that they were also very nice and their service is on point. Get the truffle tots!! 100%! My chicken burger was super tasty. Their ranch is lacking quite a bit in "true" ranch flavor and the bench sauce was not impressive, but FOOD is definitely amazing. If you need any sauce, the sriracha sauce was good and not too spicy. Give it a try!! read more

So freakin good. Have to go back & try everything. I got the Taco Burger, my friend got the Smokehouse burger & we shared truffle tots. Everything was perfect. The burgers were good perfectly. My favorite out of the two was the Smokehouse Burger but I had to try to Taco Burger, it was too unique to pass up. They have plenty of beers on tap, wine, milkshakes & more. We are here yesterday and is definitely a cool spot. We ordered and we're seated inside. People that worked here were nice. We got our shakes right away but our food took awhile. We saw 4-5 people get served who ordered after us. Our food came out lukewarm. It was obvious they forgot our meal in the back and no apology or anything to let us know their bad. I love the mix and match sliders because sometimes I feel like a chicken sandwich AND a bbq bacon burger AND some chorizo. Please bring back your breakfast burritos My husband and I really miss those. We would do laundry right around the corner and pick up some breakfast burritos. The burgers are delicious and tots are amazing always hot and crunchy. The only downside I see is that it feels so cramped and there is always a wait. Definitely would love if they had a bigger place. Every time I have been there I've had to wait a while at least 15-20 minutes for my food to be ready. Went here for the first time today with my friend. We got there a few minutes before they open and there were already 3 other sets of people waiting for them to open. They opened up promptly at 11:30. The young lady that rang us up was new, so she was still learning, which slowed down the ordering process a little...but that's totally excusable. She was very friendly when I placed my order. My friend and I sat at the end table inside, right next to the outdoor seating on the patio... so we got the nice fresh air coming in. Our order came out to us in less than 5 minutes...service is excellent! She got the mushroom Swiss burger with beer battered onion rings. I got the Smokehouse BBQ burger with half order onion rings and half order Parmesan fries. We both got the Oreo milkshakes. The milkshake was AMAZING. It comes in a frosted beer mug, which was so cute! Both of our burgers were sooo juicy that they were dripping on our plates (in a good way!) We both agreed they were the best burgers we've had in a long time. Mine was so tall that I couldn't even fit my mouth around it lol. The Parmesan fries weren't amazing, but they were still very good. The beer battered onion rings were delicious, especially dipped in ranch! We were pleasantly stuffed by the time we were done. When we headed out at 12:15, the place was PACKED!! So glad we got there early! All in all: The ambiance of the place is awesome. Lots of wood, has a really cool vibe to it. Great food! Order first at the counter and then seat yourself with a number. Food will then be brought out to your table. Casual with a craft brew flair. Topped off with delicious grill cheese, burgers and onion ring/tots/fries. Bacon Grilled Cheese with tomato soup is a must in my book. The bacon was thick cut and crispy on the edges. The grilled cheese itself was toasted on both sides, cheese was gooey, and did not taste greasy. Tomato soup is thick not too sour, thus great to dip the grilled cheese in. Parmesan Truffle Tater Tots is topped with parmesan powder and didn't have a lot of truffle flavor to it. However it was still quite delicious, crispy and hot. Burger Sliders are 3 for $9.50 and you can choose different flavors. They are about the size of a quarter of a full patty each. They arrived a bit lukewarm, BBQ was my favorite of the three. Chorizo had an interesting kick to it, flavorful spices but not spicy. Least favorite was the fried chicken burger. The chicken itself was thin and not juicy. read more
