If you haven't had Popeye's, you are missing out! It is like the KFC you remembered if you grew up in the 1980's before they were bought out and now serve absolute garbage food. Fresh-tasting ... moist ... crispy ... and not sitting under a heatlamp makes Popeye's so good. I will admit that the colonel's chicken batter is a bit tastier, but the quality makes the difference. Even the mac and cheese is perfect ... Anthony Bourdain mentioned Popeye's mac and cheese was a guilty pleasure of his. Unlike the soupy, runny mess of KFC.
