I have been a beer fanatic for over a decade and use Untapped to help me track beers that I have had and to compare with others. Typically I am an "IPA Girl," but I like to try other styles every once in a while. I was at Pat's Pizza in Brunswick celebrating with my softball team, after a win of course, and I ordered your Blazing Love Sour. I am in love. I thought that no one could top New Jersey's Oozlefinch, but you, my friends have definitely done it! I love how you have made a sour, with lactose that is not thick and weighs you down. You combined all my favorite flavors of blueberry, vanilla, and cinnamon without making it too sweet and keeping it light and unbelievably enjoyable. I immediately researched where your brewery was and was saddened to see that you have temporarily closed the Biddeford establishment. I will wait with baited breath till you open again and will become a regular, greeting every one and encouraging them to try all of your beers. read more

Blaze Brewing has a very lowkey ambiance. Somebody referred to this place as a "microbrewery" and I would have to agree. They have a multiple beer categories but limited options within those. Outdoor seating was not open when we went (early spring/way too cold), but the inside was nice enough. There are long tables along the windows and a couple other tables here and there. Service was fine, just the normal walk up, order, and pay. I did not like the pizza (rip my $20), the crust in the middle was just way too thin and it became mush with the toppings. However, Blaze has other good enough options to return. read more

Visited Blaze for a beer on a Sunday recently for the first time. You have to go down a lot of stairs so it doesn't appear to be handicap friendly. It looked like they had been very busy and we're starting to recover. There was a birthday party and a number of menu items were unavailable. I stayed for a beer and left. They had an outstanding pastry sour and brown ale on draft, as well as a handful of really good IPAs and stouts. Second, I loved sitting next to an open window through which we could see the magnificent river and feel its spray. Third, the beertender was cool, and I appreciated the tailored service. This is a mixed review. Come for the beer and food, not the outside atmosphere. Pros: Food and beer. First, as a brewery, this place has some awesome beers. Tasty, flavorful, hoppy - they had something for everyone. A really strong showing on the beer front. Even the margarita was good. The food was good. The wings were big, flavorful and spicy, with good smoke flavor. My wife's pizza had a perfectly cooked crust, but the bottom of the pizza was barley cooked. Gotta fix that. Mac and cheese, cole slaw, baked beans and burger for the kids were all good. They are really trying with the food and it's clear they aren't just getting Sysco products like other places in the area. The knocks on this place were atmosphere. Their outside "patio" was a few picnic tables in a bare parking lot next to Merck's old smoke stack. It could use a few umbrellas, planters, and a little sprucing up. Perhaps that's coming or now allowed? Inside was looked cool; will return in the fall/winter for sure. read more

Beautiful historic building, terrific views of the Saco River Falls. My 23 year old guest loved the atmosphere, his beer choices,and the menu. The 18 year old thought it was cool. The 83 year old did not like walking down two flights of stairs with her cane, or the picnic table seating (though they were really nice tables!) Dinner was fine; but counter ordering is hard for a crowd, and at a certain age, I've realized I want to eat off of real dishes with silverware, not out of a basket or on paper plates. I also hate sitting among the piles of trash it creates. That's just me, and since I'm sure there are others like me, I thought I'd share. I'm sure this place is a hit with my kids generation, just not my pint of beer. read more

Very disappointed in the food here! The atmosphere outside on the patio was lovely overlooking the river and the beer was great. However, I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and it was disgusting. The menu description states "pulled chicken" however what I was served was large chunks of chicken, several pieces which were gray in color... not good and definitely didn't match the description. My friends ordered a salad and the ribs - also mediocre at best. Great spot with lots of potential, but will not be going back here for the food anytime soon. Went to the Bar Harbor location a few months the ago, and had a much better experience. They also had a much larger menu and beer selection. read more

Best beer ever. Really. I've never tasted a beer described as "blueberry cobbler with marshmallow and cinnamon." Blazing Love (just described) brought me here and I tried 3 more sours and loved them all. Ice cream pop (on tap) is sweet, brunch side is raspberry clear and the sea spray is light and delicious. We came to Blaze Brewing for the beer, but the food was also a home run! We had the focaccia bread, which had the most perfect crust. We also had the street corn and the oysters - also delicious! So I went here for the first time last night, I had high hopes. I had heard that Blaze Brewing their Camden location was awesome, the beer was great, but I was a little disappointed when I arrived. First off the parking situation stinks, when you drive down the dirt road past all these commercial factory type buildings your not sure where to park. And then if you get all the way down to the end of the road in front of Blaze and there's no spots left it's a really tight and tough to spin around in. Next the space itself, it had a big covered canvas tent with heavy plastic sheets draped over it to keep the wind out and there were heaters inside. There were a few easy up pop tents set up outside with no heaters, I had to wait there a little while before a table in the heated tent opened up. Onto the beer and food the most important part. I went with the High Tide a dark milk stout. It was pretty good, very smooth and rich. My date had the Percolate another stout. There were notes of vanilla, maple, and coffee, soooo sooo good. It was almost creamy, but not too heavy the way some stouts can be. The food though, let me say again I had high hopes here, especially considering their prices. We ordered their Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Yuck! First of all when I saw the words maple roasted I assumed as with most places when you order Brussel Sprouts now that they'll be glazed in whatever sauce creation their advertising. Nope, it was just a little cup of sauce on that side not even drizzled on. Second of all the Brussel Sprouts weren't cooked enough all the way through so it was like eating them cold and raw, wicked disappointing. For the rest of our dinner I went with the Diner Burger that came with a side of Mac & Cheese with bacon. The portion was decent, and the Mac & Cheese warm which after the Brussel Sprouts was very welcome. For some reason though the Mac & Cheese must be kept like ready to serve in some large pan that was covered in oil on the bottom because the bottom of my plate was soaked, like absolutely drenched in it. It wouldn't have bothered me as much but the bun on my burger was sitting in it to so it was soggy and falling apart. The burger itself was average, the bun a little bulky, but the patty cooked well. I don't think it warranted the $11 price tag if I'm being honest given the presentation, I had a lot of bread leftover, and there was just this huge chunk of iceberg lettuce they slapped on the burger which I could have done without. My date had just an order of Mac & Cheese, same issue with the oil, coated the whole plate. We did share the strawberry shortcake. That was definitely worth it. There was homemade whipped cream on the side, and it came with fresh strawberries and a couple blueberries coating the cake. That was definitely the best part of the meal hands down. All in all I think its a place I'd prefer to just get a beer at for a little while but eat elsewhere or maybe grab a four pack to go. I'm not sure if the food and prices warranted a full meal there in the future. read more

This place is cool. You enter on the ground level and go down a set of stairs to find the bar and large open area with seating and windows. It's self serve so I ordered 2 beers from the bartender and grabbed a menu to go sit outside and browse. The outside seating is dog friendly and has a view of the river, although it is a bit obstructed by the fence and trees. There was also a string of decorative lights along the fence. We didn't end up ordering food but enjoyed our afternoon at Blaze Brewing. read more

Blaze brewing company has a great selection of beer and drinks, but after dining in with a few friends we realized that the food was subpar. My dish, grandma's Pizza, was extremely soggy and soupy. As soon as you picked it up the bottom of the pizza collapsed into an ocean of liquid . Two of my company had the macaroni and cheese , and they said it was okay. Nothing special and very bland. We all agreed the best thing we were served was the cornbread which was absolutely delicious. The food needs improvement, but the atmosphere and beer selection are what you would expect from a brewing restaurant. read more

If you're thinking about trying blaze, stop thinking and go. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've ordered here. Especially the Mac n cheese, but it rivals with the pizzas. So I came in this afternoon and my munchies got the better of me. We asked them to combine the Mac N cheese with a pizza and give me some crazy flavor. Result, life changing, wood grilled perfection. The cheese was crisped to a perfect golden brown. The cheese to sauce ratio was STELLAR. A melt in your mouth, almost a spiritual experience. Throw a "backshore" sour and a "looking at the clouds" ale and you've got a magical night here at blaze brewing. Can't recommend this place enough. Great staff, good vibes, and right by the Saco Falls. read more

This location is ideal to see the falls but the personality of the staff and the food are lacking. Never had such dry, overcooked tacos in my life! When we asked for sauce the only had hot sauce. They said the steak was marinated-with what? Sawdust? Terrible!!! And I'll eat almost anything! Go for the beer and the view. read more

Finally checked out Blaze last night- we were impressed by the outdoor space they've created. Even though it was raining, we stayed warm and dry under the tent system they have. All of the beers we had were solid, and we shared a fall pizza. The toppings on the pizza were not my style but my partner really liked it. The pizza itself (ignoring the toppings) was delicious. A little pricier than I am used to but again, we enjoyed our experience here and can't wait for the indoor space to open up. read more

I went back and forth between 2 and 2stars and I wish there was an option for 2.5 stars. Short version of my review: go for the beer and not the food. The beer. I had a pale ale and my husband had an IPA. We were pretty impressed with our selections & both brews were comparable with any other stellar local brewery like Lone Pine or Bissell brothers. The food. Ugh. Not good this time. My husband got the wings and the ribs. They both looked delicious. The wings had way too much rub on them. The ribs were so dry, guys! My husband and I loooove ribs and make them ourselves from time to time. My husband is a member of the clean plate club and he didn't finish either his wings or his ribs. Not a good sign. I opted for the quesdilla which I want to say was $13 or $16. That's a lot of money for a quesdilla. It did come with guac. Guys, they use frozen chicken. It was so spongey tasting. The cheese barely had any flavor. It was grilled nicely. Then the guacamole was definitely not fresh. It tasted what I would expect guacamole at Taco Bell to taste. Not. Good. Anyway I hope these guys can get the food situation down.. Because the beer is good. Next time we go it will definitely just be for a beer. read more

I always enjoy my time spent at blaze. Food has always been great along with staff although tonight it seemed the server/cashier may have been a little overwhelmed. I went up to the counter with my friend to buy a drink and mac and cheese with bacon. The staffs attitude was not very welcoming. The mac is $9 and im assuming so was the sour I ordered. He rings me out checks my ID and then askes to serve my friend. He serves my friend their drink yet i still havent recieved mine. I was still charged 18.90 for the drink I never got and the food, I didnt make a fuss, but it seems this energy with the server continued throughout our time there. I ended up paying for two drinks and the mac when I only drank one drink because they never poured mine the first round. Also the mac and cheese with bacon had very little bacon. This was my first experience with this staff and little to say I won't be visiting again any time soon :( read more

My wife and I went out tonight hoping to enjoy a cocktail and nice meal to celebrate our first night on vacation. We ended up deciding to try Blaze Biddeford as we have been to their other locations. This is a seat yourself/ Order at the Counter style restaurant which is fine. The environment was nice and they were playing some absolute bangers on a 2000's Pop playlist but unfortunately that wasn't enough to save our evening. I'll begin by acknowledging that the place seemed to be under staffed and I'm sure they were doing their best.. However, we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for a cold Mac and Cheese which is a shame because it was delicious. We didn't finish it. If I wanted to spend 10 dollars on a cup of cold cheese and pasta I can do that at home for 2 bucks. They ran out of pesto for the pizza so we waited another 15 minutes. At this point our drinks are gone we've been here for 2 hours. The Pizza tasted very fresh and was hot. It's hard to tell if it was really a great pizza or we were just that hungry that anything would have hit the spot. BOTH the men's and women's bathrooms were out of paper towels. The Men's room hot water didn't work. The windows were open and it was raining onto our table. The staff wasn't friendly. Need I go on? Bottom line, here's all you really need to know: after this experience I told someone I respect and trust about it who lives in town and they said " that place sucked" so there ya go. The locals are disappointed and so were we. The really disappointing part is all of this could be resolved with alittle effort. Paper towels... reasonable ticket times.. more attention to detail... hot food.. this could be easily achieved to meet the normal standards of a successful restaurant if the desire was there. This would be a better take out spot than a sit down joint. Anyway don't take my word for it. Try it for yourself and form your own opinions but color me unimpressed. read more

The chef could have cared less how long we sat and waited for the food (which was over an hour from when we ordered). 3 other tables of customers also got up and complained and/or left because it was taking so long.
