Last visit...simple order...2 burgers, extra onions, with large fries ordered on the app. Fries were good but received medium instead of large. The burgers were ice cold with stale buns. The woman working the drive thru was the most miserable thing I have ever seen in my entire life. When I pulled up, she opened the window, her mouth open, but never said a word--just staring blankly like a zombie on tranquilizers. She took my money, gave me change, and shoved my food at me without ever uttering a single word. She just stood there like a mouth breather, slamming the cash register drawer and banging everything she touched. What a miserable way to spend your day, and visiting your misery on the customers. The reviews about this place opening late and closing earlier are all TRUE! The only reason I keep coming here is because unfortunately it's either take my chances here or wait on McDonald's endless line of customers. It's currently 6:48am and I have been standing in the drive thru for 13 minutes so I decided to write them a review while I wait for someone to take my order. In my experience with the staff members, they do not hide how unhappy they are at this job. Doesn't matter which shift it is. Sometimes they're open and sometimes they're not. Sometimes they accept the coupons and sometimes they don't. Most of the time the items are "sold out." And everytime I'm asked to wait for my food at the end of the building so their clock is never accurate on how long it takes them to complete an order. The last time I was here, as the woman was directing me to wait at the end of the building, she mumbled something about accepting tips. I asked her to clarify what she said and she confidently repeated that they accept tips for bringing the food out to my car at the end of the building! When she brought the food out she actually waited with her hand out for her tip. Wow! So here is my tip for Burger King: Move out of East Lyme and allow another competant business to take over! Worst experience I've ever had. Seriously. I don't say that lightly. We pulled up and started to make our order, immediately the drive thru attendant was impatient and rude. After a few times of him scoffing, I asked him if I was disturbing him. To which he answered "Can't I breath?" I then asked his name, in response he asked me for mine. I told him my name and he said his name was "Brad". I told him I would be contacting his manager and left. I am not an antagonistic person. I was polite and ignored is irritation the first few times but then when I said something to him and he continued to be rude, not ok. Brad or whoever you are, if you don't like your job, get a new one. I'm sorry your life is so unhappy that you take pleasure in upsetting others. I hope it gets better. Walked in and at first blush it seemed like the were taking Covid precautions. Bathroom was closed even for patrons. However upon entering, the only workers wearing masks were at the drive thru. The worst experience I have ever had at a Burger King. The employee was so RUDE and impatient at the speaker, which only got worse when I told her I had a coupon. She asked me for the coupon code and before I could answer she became hostile telling me to hurry up and give it to her. I said just forget it and drove up to the window. When I got to the window, she refused to take my coupon. Ok, whatever so I asked for the kids meal to be removed. She fought me on that until I demanded she remove it and told her she needed to work on her manners. Wow !!! All I could say is Dirty ... Trashy .... And insanely poor costumer service . I don't know how this place went from decent to this . Almost every worker there had either false eyelashes that they look like they gonna fall in your food . Or nails that need to be cut because they are so dirty . Walked in with full intention of ordering lunch for my family of 5. I asked if we ordered lunch if my kids could use the bathroom to which the female employee behind the counter yelled at me" GO AHEAD" very rudely I may add. I was so put off as to how she responded, I put all 3 kids and wife back in the car and drove down to McDonalds. Not sure if you're open to the public how you can refuse bathroom service as the signage clearly stated. May be worth a visit by the Health inspector too if nothing else upper management. read more

Most of the reviews here are one star and from a year ago. I can honestly say that the staff there work hard and the other half do a very mediocre job. Sometimes orders can be completed in a couple minutes, just simple orders. But this depends on if the cooks are in a good mood that day. We are out of stock on Mozzarella sticks, so we just don't sell them. The district manager doesn't want to put any money into fixing the ice cream machine so that's also discontinued. It's not fast like McDonalds but the food is cheaper and pretty well cooked. The thing is with McDonalds they are super staffed but BK is not so the wait is usually longer. If the District Manager was to put money into this location it would have a better chance at serving customers correctly. Overall, the staff is professional, patient and respectful. I work as a cashier there at the moment as long as many other tasks that I have to complete and usually people leave happy. But for those in a rush, this probably is not the place to go. Remember, if you have a coupon say the four digit # first in the drive through! Our most popular choices are the Kings Meal Deal, 2 for $6 and now the 2 for $10. Water cups are always free. The milk shakes I highly recommend, and the most popular order is definitely the whopper or a spicy crispy chicken sandwich. Which you get get both for just six dollars. read more

I work local to this location. 1 star is still to much, I just ordered food at the drive up window since you cannot order inside. This is the second time I have had to wait over 5 minutes at a mic to order food in the past three weeks, I get to the window. One truck is waiting for his food, one car in front if me. Truck gets his food the car in front of me got the wrong order and the guy asked her to pull up she responded with no I will wait and so can everyone else behind me. Great, so now I'm late for work. Grab my food a d go to eat it at work. Yup it's wrong and I can't leave. Great work as always. Besides the fighting and bickering back and forth between the manager and workers, the place is dirty and the hygiene of the folks working there needs serious improvement. The guy who was "mopping" the floor with plastic gloves on and wiping his forehead then proceeded to jump behind the line and start making burgers, with those same exact gloves touching patties and reaching into the lettuce, tomato, onion, etc- contaminated everything. I was staying at a hotel right next to them. I do not have a car or license. Two day prior they allowed me to walk through the drive thru to order and get food. Today, I called them, they agreed to let me walk thru again to order food, when my fiancée got there they wouldn't allow him to do it. I called them back and asked them, they said due to safety issues we can't let him. I asked if they could take my order over the phone or come to the door and bring out the food that way. The manager on the phone got rude and nasty she told me no. I then proceed to call McDonald's, who agreed to meet me at the door, take my order, ring me out and bring me the food back out. The service is awful. The building is disgusting and filthy. I will not be duped into going back here as long as I live. Absolutely terrible. We have been coming here for years, and we love the cheap deals that they offer with the app. The problem I have with this BK is that the quality of the food fluctuates frequently. One day it's really good, but the next, it isn't cooked through all the way or tastes bland or dry. Also, they mix up orders quite often and have mediocre service at best. The last time we went, instead of getting BBQ sauce in a sealed, Burger King branded cup, they gave it to us in mini plastic to-go cups, and who knows what they could have added in with the sauce! Absolutely worst burger king I have EVER been to. The WORST staff. I have never been to a food place that was this unbelievably rude and disgusting! When I asked for the manager in the drive thru they told me I was speaking to the manager! Before I even drove up to the window over the intercom I heard, "Make sure you make this a 'special' order" very rude whatever that means, unbelievable! The conflict started when I brought up I was using the app and they told me I couldn't use the coupon since I didn't tell them about it at the beginning of my order, how would I know that was the rule? I would not recommend this burger king to anybody ever! My grandmother and mother always refused to bring us to the niantic burger king growing up and now I see why!
