Burger king is burger king. Nothing special really. But the service is what makes different. Bandit and I were so hungry after hiking around the volcano park for 8 hours. It was past 8am and most of the eateries nearby already ending their dine-in store hours. Goodness this closest fast food we can ever grab something faster is open! Went through the drive-thru and as usual it's so slow like most drive-thrus are. Ordered salad, double cheese burger and crosscut french fries. Pretty impressed on the salad coz it was refreshing and crunch & I am so glad I ordered it. French fries is a bit soggy and for the cheeseburger is just the same with other burger king. The service is fair enough. They did the best they can to serve you good. And if we will be stuck in the volcano park alate at night again I will still consider this place to feed my monstrous tummy here. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

Plan ahead and avoid the Burger King in Pahoa! You're better off at any of the other restaurants near here than going here. The food is the same as every other BK but the prices are at least double what you'd pay at any other...and the electronic menu is conveniently malfunctioning. A Double Whooper meal and a Double Whopper sandwich, and shake ran $34.32. We will never come back !

    Whopper meal plus rings, satisfying!

Fairly good experience, just had to wait about 8-10 mins. for our order. Counter person pleasant and orderly. Food came out tasting fresh and hot, just wish the fries had been cooked but longer, they were albino and didn't seem fully cooked. Was nice to see the Whoppers haven't changed much in size and quality over the years as it had been several since having the Whopper. We got the 2 meals for 15.00 which seemed fair but paid extra to upsize from small fry/soda to medium. The ketchup dispenser was oddly very thin/ runny dripping off the fries? And I know it's due to cost but hate when no napkin dispensers available without having to go up and ask for them (and salt)! But overall good experience and we'd go back.

Bread was stale and service took awhile considering I only ordered two sandwiches. Not really interested in going back to this Burger King.

They don't honor deals from the app. I was also curious to try the Impossible Whopper but no way am I paying $12 for a fast food burger.

Food is fine. Service ok. Prices are insanely jacked up. They wouldn't even accept app coupons.

When we arrived, we were seated promptly. The noise level was decently low, even with live music, and we were so happy for that. Here lately, every place we have gone has been sooo loud to where we couldn't have a conversation, so this was a nice touch. Our waitress came to grab our orders promptly and brought our drinks quickly. We decided on mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, a pesto burger no tomato with a garden patty, and another garden burger plain and dry, both with fries. Food came out decently swiftly, and everything looked amazing! The fries were piping hot and absolutely wonderful: perfectly crispy, not greasy, with flavor and perfect seasoning. The pesto burger was soo good. The pesto itself had a great flavor without being overbearing or oily. I loved the slice of fresh mozzarella. The burger itself was cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and toasty without being hard. The mozzarella sticks were fantastic, not greasy at all, and were decently sized. I really liked the marinara it came with, which it was flavorful without being overbearing and the only thing we could taste. I assume the garden burger was equally enjoyed, for there was no conversation coming from that side of the table. Oh, and he stole the rest of my fries. Thief!! This was a great decision. The interior screams dive bar in an interesting way, but that food? Definitely not greasy spoon or quickly thrown together dive bar appetizers, that's for sure! We will definitely come back!

A solid neighborhood spot with a few standouts and some room to grow…read more We've been to Kaleo's a few times now, and we'll definitely keep coming back. It's close, there's always parking, and it's got that laid-back, local energy where you can laugh loud and no one's going to shoot you a look. It does get loud inside, but in that kind of way that makes it feel like everybody's having a good time, not like you're in a cafeteria. Just don't expect a quiet dinner conversation, unless you're reading lips. The service? Always sweet, always kind. Lily (I think that's the correct spelling!) has taken care of us more than once and she's a gem... warm, attentive, and easy to chat with. She's the kind of person who remembers what you ordered last time and tells you honestly what's good. As for the food... Bacon Blue Burger: My husband had this last time and it was yum. Juicy, flavorful, hits all the right rich notes without being greasy. That one's a solid order. Ribs: The barbecue sauce was really good... but the ribs themselves were dry and overdone. Not terrible, but not what I'd call a win either. If they could just dial in the texture, that sauce would carry it home. Kalbi Short Ribs: Best thing on the menu so far. Tender, rich, and full of flavor. Get those. Mashed Potatoes: "All mash" is the move. They're creamy and comforting... total comfort food. Hamburger Steak: Another standout. Probably one of the best in the area. Classic done right. Thai Chicken Pasta: Watch out... it's got some serious heat! Spicy, but good. Not for the faint of tongue, but worth it if you're into that kind of kick. Lilikoi Fizz: Really tasty but heavy on the lilikoi. If they eased up and added a little more club soda, it would be more balanced. Desserts: * Lava Cake was good... warm and classic. * Chocolate Decadent Cake was just okay. It comes fridge-cold (probably so it doesn't melt), but I feel like if they let it sit out for ten minutes before serving, it would be way better. * Brownie Sundae was yum, according to my husband... and I trust his dessert radar. All in all, Kaleo's is the kind of place you root for. You want them to keep getting better, and they mostly are. The hits are worth coming back for, and even the misses aren't deal-breakers. We'll be back, and we're excited to keep trying more of the menu.

While they appear to be a casual, local, hippy establishment (and they are). The food and wait is worth every penny, (and pennies are more valuable now). You will hear live music when you approach building. It's bright and colorful, open air and you can feel your inner artist being inspired. The place is packed but you find a seat and listen to the laughter, singing, and sizzles from the kitchen. It's small and bundles of fruit seam to just be around everywhere. Your server gives you a menu and you think. "Oh wow! That's a bit pricy." But you're all in. Considering this place is proud of its farm to table reputation. Yes, nothing goes to waist here and it as fresh as you can possibly get. So you order and wait. And you wait, and you wait. Finally the plate arrives and it's beautiful. A paradise of fruit, veggie filled omelet and some things you're not sure if you can eat them or if it's just decoration. (You can eat them) Have you ever heard of a cranberry hibiscus? I'm not a fan of salsa with my eggs but they make their own from scratch and they also sell it. So I have to at least try it. "What is in this! Magic?" In fact all the workers were just rays of sunshine and smiles. Did I just have breakfast or walk into a magical world where time stood still and surrounded me in song and colors. I swear I don't do substances, it's just that good.
